you get cramps in your legs and feet? or is it just soreness? ive never heard of high heels inducing cramps before. maybe if your leg muscles are so unaccustomed to that position....you might try doing some calf stretching excercises to counter the compression that happens in high heels
shadowsa2b You've never heard of leg or foot cramps from wearing heels? Oh yes! Its from the foot being in the incline position for x amount of time. The best thing like another other cramp is the stretch out the muscle.
i know they make your foot sore from having all your weight on the ball of your foot, but having your foot supported shouldnt (in theory) make your foot muscles tighten up. ive only ever gotten a foot cramp from curling my foot in the other direction too hard
+shadowsa2b if the shoes fit right and you stand correctly, your weight is still on your heels. 99% of women wear ill fitting heels (almost always too big) and stand with their knees bent and weight too far forward. i teach women how to walk in heels (up to 6.5" single sole), it just takes some practice and proper instruction.
if youre in single soled heels higher than 4.5" or so, wouldnt the steeper pitch sort of physically require you to bend your knees a little? like...if i lock my knees and go as high as i can up on my toes, it creates severe strain (or at least niticably more severe strain) on my achilles tendon and calf, and i need to bend my knees at least a little bit. if the pitch of your shoe is so high youre at a near right angle, how can you not bend your knees?

Alexa basbas. I remember a trip to the airport with my daughter on a sky bus that had her & I in tears. I remember looking down at the floor of the bus & spotting this woman's feet & how her little toes were poking out of the side between the straps of her sandals.
The image of a dog with it's head thrust out of the car window & its tongue hanging out with all the enthusiasm in the world immediately popped into my head & had me laughing so hard while trying not to laugh out loud. My daughter asked what was so funny & when I finally managed to explain she too had to struggle not to laugh out loud. As a result tears were streaming down our faces & the other passengers must have thought that we were insane. That was over five years ago but the image remains with me to this day.

I just got my first pair of six -inch heels (The Ruthless Platform from Iron Fist) and even tho I live in my heels, these six - inchers are a whole different ballgame! Everything you mentioned on this video is spot on including having something sturdy to hold on to before standing up or face the consequence of falling on your face. Thank you again for this. Last time I was in New York to visit and watch some Broadway and off-Broadway plays I went to the original Macy’s to buy a dress and shoes. Fashion is decidedly different from ever present flip-flops and simple Tommy Bahamas cotton shifts here in Hawai’i! When I asked where to find shoes, the Macy’s advisor said “Do you want shoes you look good in? Or shoes you can actually walk in!” I got one inch heels. AFTER the play as I walked out into Times Square I noticed that EVERY woman was carrying her shoes!

Helen Eschenbacher lol yeah it's very common in the city for women to wear comfy shoes and change into their heels once they get to their destination. The pavement will ruin them or it's just really painful walking on the uneven surface. Not to mention walking uphill and subway grates etc. plus people walk really fast in the city and you can't walk as fast in heels. I don't really like taking two shoes so I'll just take a cab if I can or wear lower heels.
Love 6" heels, all my heels are are either 5 or 6"s. I just like to be tall! At 5'1" I don't have many opportunities to feel tall, so heels it is! :D

I broke my leg once in a car accident but refused to give up my stilettos even during my recovery. There I was crutches and one foot in a cast and one foot in a 5 inch stiletto pump! Still rocked the hell out of it and turnin' heads left and right as soon as I step one foot out the car!
I've been struggling with some 6-inch heels that I bought, wobbled all over when I first got them, but after wearing your 3" heels, I notice that I can actually walk the length of my hallway with them on. Still afraid to go outside in them, but this vid was v. helpful. Thank you!

Yeah its easy to walk on flat surface and the stairs are not a problem to me,but how come my friends walk so much faster than me? I have to walk small steps and they just kick it like there in sneakers... I loose balance easy and my joints i feel like there are not strong enough to carry me and i'm not a big girl.. so its just suffering for me in heels i guess... xD

Depends how many itches it is. Try to practice with shorter heels then move your way up. It also depends if the brand you buy is a comfortable heel some heels can also be too tight on the toes and can cause discomfort to walk in.

That is pretty harsh besides heels can be painful.and cause problems with your feet,knees,and back. Ask any podiatrist and they will tell you heels especially very high ones are not good for your feet. Women are even getting surgery and injections in their fit to feel more comfortable in high heels. Why can't a woman be attractive and desirable with impractical shoes?

With that at least 1 inch platform, while they may measure 6", they are only REALLY 5" as far as actually walking in them. 5" isn't so hard. 6" is PAINFUL!
You should never wear anything over 4 inches without a platform since it will hurt like hell though, some people can go up to 5 inches without due to having a foot and ankles that can handle it (often they have big feet). Platforms are so you can wear heels higher than 4 inches without keeling over in pain AND get more height from your shoes.
how about walking in proper 6 inch heels. the ones without a platform because the ones you are wearing have 6 inch heel and about 1 inch platform so that makes them 5 inch heels.

I don't know why, but it is really easy for me to walk in heels. When I was eleven I completely skipped kitten heels and went for 3 inches. It was the easiest thing ever. 6 inch heels feel how 3 inch heels would feel like on my mum. (she wobbles on the first 5 steps or so)

Basic math... a 6 inch heel, with a 2 inch platform... isn't 6 inches! It's like walking in a 4 inch heel. I want to see this woman prance around in 6 inch heels WITHOUT a platform, then she'll be saying something. ;)
Too right. Simple: Subtract the platform height from the heel gives the "true" heel height. So she's only showing how to walk in 4 inch heels, not 6 as the misleading video title suggests.
When you get that high, a platform is basically required b/c the ankle is anatomically not designed to do that. Unless your doing ballet heels. Without a platform, probably 5 in at max is possible without the platform.
Models, strippers, and prostitutes have been known to walk effortlessly in 6" heels. 6" heels were not rare in the pin up 1950's and 60's modeling scene. A platform isn't required though a lower heel is easier to walk in. Most women have problem walking in really high heels though.

I wpuld like to custom size a pair of BLOCK 3" heels but the heels would be open toe n with a thick strap around ankle. Kinda like the tommy hilfiger "sunday" heel. I went on website but had no luck.

But whilst the heel may be 6" you are not actually walking on a 6" heel because of the platform if you know what I mean, you have the overall height it offers but not the arch curvature that real 6" stils give. So your foot curvature and weight dispersal is actually no different to a 4.5" to 5" heel height at most.
I love heels, I wear 5.5" stils daily and have my "special" 6" and 6.5", no platform (just have a personal dislike of platform) the only time I drop heel height is when I wear my fave ankle boots which are only a 4" Stil tip and they feel like flats by comparison.
My advice to anyone who hasn't done heels is to start sensible with a 3" or 4" heel, always wear a tight skirt around knee height. It will give your legs a physical restraint from taking larger strides like you might in a pair of jeans, and help slow your pace and help keep that feminine walk......Then wear them heels when you do the vacuuming 😂 seriously, it will help distract your mind from your feet, it gets you walking forwards and backwards and so builds your confidence whilst distracting your mind from your feet. It will also distract your other half 😉
I will never understand why you women wear such high heels for so many hours. If its for a short period of time then i can understand like a job interview or out to dinner at a nice restaurant but to wear there them all day at work makes absolutely no sense. Tell me ladies, is the feet, joint, and back pain really worth the beauty????????

Once i wore a 6 inch stilletoes and as i wore it and stood up and walked just 2 or 3 steps... Some current went down my spine.. And yes i am also a fat girl so i think wearing a 6inch heel wasnt for me... But the current that i felt in my spine... Ooh god.. Never dide i wear them again.. I can wear a 6 inch wedges or block heels though but not those thin sticks..

[Update] Never mind - I just discovered that by shortening the heel to from 5.8 to 4.5 (which took about an inch off the platform, too) I could get this up to size 49. So far, so good!
