One tip I'd like to add: Be sure to pay strict attention to your posture when walking on heels. Keep your shoulders back when walking. Never, ever hunch over because it will disrupt your center of gravity and you will risk falling forward. A straight back is always important for good posture, but especially when walking in heels.

Mostly I have scars now, but my feet get blisters easier. But them boots are so lush they’re a fuckin statement and I am a statement*
I think wearing heels is all about confidence and practice lol when you’re free at home, wear heels in the kitchen, when cleaning, instead of flip flops, wear heels and in no time, you should be okay in them. Also, confidence is key!!! Anytime before I wear heels and eyeliner lol, I deceive myself by thinking I’m the best at it, channel my inner Naomi Campbell and Gigi Hadid and just like that, I forget I’m even wearing heels but by the time I return home, my feet are swollen but you should be fine in a couple of hours, lol at least for me.... don’t put too much of your attention on your heels lol the more you do that the most likely you’re to stumble and fall just forget and tune your mind to think they’re normal shoes... sorry this comment is long but I hope it’s helpful ❤️
You also need to watch were your stepping if the ground is uneven you can fall and cracks in the pavement can catch your stiletto heels, my whole foot would come out. I started with kitten heels at 18 and graduated to very high heels, I now have so many shoes I need to have a cleanout

As time progressed, men had to wear more traditional shoes for their work in the farm land and for more physical work. High heels did not cut it. The fashion industry then took over and marketed them towards women, and you know how women are regarding fashion. Today, they are not considered very practical for men to wear, except every now and then there is a fashion trend for high heels for men, ( back in the disco 70's, high heels was very popular for men to wear) It is amazing how styles change!

I’ve been walking heel to toe, since I could walk. Thanks to my mother making us girls walk up the hallway with books on our head to have the correct posture and elegant walking style. Anyway... the other my mum taught us, was to walk up or down stairs by holding lightly on the rail and placing your feet on a slight angle to have the whole of the shoe on the step but not close to the edge to be unbalanced or catch the step that you just stepped off. This also gives you a lovely shape and wiggle when going up or down stairs gracefully

It also helps to tighten up your stomach muscles, keep them tightened while walking. If you have a strong core, it's easier to walk in them. Breathing properly helps too. :)
So true. When I weighed 140 pounds. I could walk in heels as if they were my everyday walking shoes. I'm now 180, when I walk in 2 inch heels. My knees hurt and my bunion on my right foot bothers me. I walk more "clumpy" now.

Its easy one foot in front of the other and as you walk move your hips from side to side don't over do it lol you might dislocate it...no one taught me it just came natural.

so I brought a pair of nude high heels for a wedding to lift my dress a bit. The heels have barely any support and a thin line = the actual heel. Why did I do this. Okay so I forgot I made this comment and thought I would update you guys as so many people have seen this and I did not expect that. I ended up not wearing the heels and gave in and got some cute wedged heel shoes from H&M and honestly that decision saved.my.life. After the reception the actual wedding venue was on some hill in the countryside and the parking was down below so the guests had to TREK up the hill and one girl twisted her ankle right in front of my very eyes. There was literally a line of girls struggling to get up that hill with their S.O trying to help or carrying them as it was mostly grass. I was one of the first to the top and was rewarded with a nice glass of champagne as I watched the rest struggle the great climb looking at the mistakes that could have been. tl;dr: wedding was on a hill. 100% would have died if I had worn the original stiletto heels from death. Moral of the story: Check the damn venue location
I have found the stronger your legs and core are the easier to walk in heels. If you are out of shape, you are weaker and it effects heel walking. Also, make sure the shoes fit you properly. I have tried to get away with walking in heels that were a bit to big on me and that made things difficult. If they slide off the back of your heel, put some spacers or pads in that area so they stay secured to your foot. I personally only wear heels that are not too high for my comfort. If I feel like I'm out of control in them, I don't wear them. Melania Trump may be able to rock out 6" but 4" is my limit.
Me too. . . 3" heels all day, every day, 4 seasons, 30+ years. Now 60 yrs old and will have bunion surgery when it's safe to do so after COVID-19. The moral of the story is pretty shoes make ugly feet.
I think it’s all about making sure your posture is correct and you give your feet a break. Even when I wear sneakers after I take them off I always stretch. I’m teenager but whenever I wear heels I use some cushioning things in there
You don’t drive in high heels. It can be dangerous. Keep a pair of ballerinas in the glove compartment. No one has to see you switch shoes. You’ll be a responsible driver while still being stylish af.
Fast Driving Girls I typically carry/keep another pair of shoes to drive in. This is more to protect my shoes as they can get beat up due to the angles involved with breaking/keeping your foot on the pedal.
Best tip ever!!!! Just walk slower than you normally would. This extended my wear time by a good 4-5 hours. If you walk fast, your feet slide more and there’s more impact on the balls of your feet
Be sure that the heel doesn't get stuck in the sidewalk cracks while practicing. That happened to me once. Also, be careful on the stairs. You are supposed to walk down the stairs on a slight angle facing toward the handrail you are holding.
The first time I put on my mom's heels at a wedding she told me I was going to fall because I didn't know hot to wals in heels....I ran around, walked, danced and went up and down stairs in heels without breaking anything or falling! I’d also recommend your straighten your knee and whole leg. This will automatically give your hips a slight swerve when you walk and elongate your lags and assist with great posture

I guess I learned from a very young age to walk in heels because I always wore heels to important places and partys and stuff and I learned this stuff except for the grass because I kinda hate grass so I stay away from it as much a possible but sometimes it's unavoidable 😃 great video!
Watching this in 2022 gave me so much nostalgia. This was the vid that taught me how to walk in my first heels for uni HAHAHAA. so I brought a pair of nude high heels for a wedding to lift my dress a bit. The heels have barely any support and a thin line = the actual heel. Why did I do this. They were super duper cute and on sale soI thought "how hard could this be". Guys if I don't return it's because I died or I've died of embarrassment.

Okay so I forgot I made this comment and thought I would update you guys as so many people have seen this and I did not expect that.
I ended up not wearing the heels and gave in and got some cute wedged heel shoes from H&M and honestly that decision saved.my.life. After the reception the actual wedding venue was on some hill in the countryside and the parking was down below so the guests had to TREK up the hill and one girl twisted her ankle right in front of my very eyes. There was literally a line of girls struggling to get up that hill with their S.O trying to help or carrying them as it was mostly grass. I was one of the first to the top and was rewarded with a nice glass of champagne as I watched the rest struggle the great climb looking at the mistakes that could have been.
tl;dr: wedding was on a hill. 100% would have died if I had worn the original stiletto heels from death.
Moral of the story: Check the damn venue location

I have found the stronger your legs and core are the easier to walk in heels. If you are out of shape, you are weaker and it effects heel walking. Also, make sure the shoes fit you properly. I have tried to get away with walking in heels that were a bit to big on me and that made things difficult. If they slide off the back of your heel, put some spacers or pads in that area so they stay secured to your foot. I personally only wear heels that are not too high for my comfort. If I feel like I'm out of control in them, I don't wear them. Melania Trump may be able to rock out 6" but 4" is my limit.

Me too. . . 3" heels all day, every day, 4 seasons, 30+ years. Now 60 yrs old and will have bunion surgery when it's safe to do so after COVID-19. The moral of the story is pretty shoes make ugly feet.

I think it’s all about making sure your posture is correct and you give your feet a break. Even when I wear sneakers after I take them off I always stretch. I’m teenager but whenever I wear heels I use some cushioning things in there

You don’t drive in high heels. It can be dangerous. Keep a pair of ballerinas in the glove compartment. No one has to see you switch shoes. You’ll be a responsible driver while still being stylish af.
Fast Driving Girls I typically carry/keep another pair of shoes to drive in. This is more to protect my shoes as they can get beat up due to the angles involved with breaking/keeping your foot on the pedal.

Best tip ever!!!! Just walk slower than you normally would. This extended my wear time by a good 4-5 hours. If you walk fast, your feet slide more and there’s more impact on the balls of your feet

Be sure that the heel doesn't get stuck in the sidewalk cracks while practicing. That happened to me once. Also, be careful on the stairs. You are supposed to walk down the stairs on a slight angle facing toward the handrail you are holding.
The first time I put on my mom's heels at a wedding she told me I was going to fall because I didn't know hot to wals in heels....I ran around, walked, danced and went up and down stairs in heels without breaking anything or falling! My mom suspected I stole her heels and walked around the house or something 😅😂

Great points! Years ago I saw a show about how to walk in high heels. The thing I remember most is them saying that you need to allow your hips to naturally sway left and right. If you try to NOT move your hips, then you look really weird! 😆
I am able to wear only one shoe and use crutches. Happy to say that I can wear any of the shoes that she did and still maintain my smoothness and grace. And everything that she says is true.E

I’d also recommend your straighten your knee and whole leg. This will automatically give your hips a slight swerve when you walk and elongate your lags and assist with great posture
