  • In this video, we will address a common issue that you may encounter when opening files in Ruby, specifically related to incorrect colors. Sometimes, when importing files into Ruby, certain colors may not display correctly in the prepare screen. This can be problematic, especially when it comes to accurately representing cut paths or engraved settings.
If you encounter this issue, don't worry! We have a solution for you. The first step is to go back to the design screen and carefully examine the colors used in your file. Look out for an asterisk (*) next to any color. This asterisk serves as an identifier, indicating that the color is not correct or displaying as intended.
Once you have identified the problematic colors, you can take action to correct them. In Ruby, you have the flexibility to adjust and assign the correct colors to your design elements. Select the box next to each color and choose the appropriate color for the cut path or engraved setting. This ensures that your design will be accurately represented during the laser processing.
Additionally, if you have a grayscale image that you want to convert to black and white, Ruby provides a convenient option to achieve this. You can easily convert the grayscale image to a crisp black and white representation, ensuring optimal results for your laser cutting or engraving project.
In this example, we encountered incorrect colors for red, blue, and black elements in our design. By following the steps outlined in this video, we were able to rectify the issue. Now, the colors are displayed correctly in the prepare screen: a 100% black vector, a blue line, and a red cut path.
We understand the frustration that can arise when colors are not accurately represented in your laser jobs. By utilizing the color correction features within Ruby, you can ensure that your designs are visually consistent and produce the desired results. Don't let incorrect colors hinder your creativity and productivity!
