Undersea green is probably my favourite colour of all! Such an earthy realistic green
It really is one of the best colors! One of my top five favorites. 🌲🤍
Thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial , i feel its possible too have a go without feeling im attempting something too difficult as a beginer. You paint and explain so well
im in hospital after major surgery and I just want you to know this is cheering me up. !!!!
Aww Lindy! I hope you’re ok.
I’m sorry you’ve been in the hospital, but happy that I can bring you a little positive distraction while you heal up. 🤍🌲
😍@@JackiePeacock
Oh I hope you get well soon. 🙏
@@sheilagilleland4312 Thank you....me too.
Будьте здоровы ❤
wow this is gorgeous, I love that you used a limited colour palette 😊
Love me a simple palette. Thank you for loving the content.
Very helpful! Thanks!
You're welcome! 🌲🤍
Perfect ❤❤❤
You said “autumnal”!
I love it! Hardly ever hear that word as there aren’t opportunities to do so frequently, but you used it beautifully.
Amazing watercolor as well.
No, really…just beautiful!
Autumnal sounds so nice. Agreed! Thank you for watching! 🌲
It's so dreamy
And i love this colour so much
Appreciate that! Thank you 🤍🌲
I love your paintings. I thought of you on a recent trip to northen California and Oregon, because you mentioned in one of your videos about the trees from the pacific Northwest. Those trees are so beautiful and tall, vibrant and smell amazing. I live in southern California but Someday i will live in a place with many tall trees.
Thank you so much, Danielly! Did you go to any specific locations that were iconic? One of my favorite places to visit is Fern Canyon. It's stunning. I hope you get to live exactly where you want! Southern California is beautiful, too. A bit warm, lol but the succulents down there are wild. Beautiful. And omg the food options! Yum.
Again you have made, a Beautiful painting.
🤍🌲 thank you, Rhonda.
I’m new to watercolor after having started in this medium in July. I just adore your misty landscapes and often recommend them to others in my watercolor group who are wanting to learn how to tackle this misty look. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Thanks so much for sharing. 💕
I hope you are having a wonderful time creating your own misty scenes. There's nothing more lovely to paint in my humble opinion haha.
Thank you for sharing and spreading the word. I appreciate that. And more importantly, thank you for being here and finding value in this content. Happy painting! I'd love to see your work if you're on IG, Shannon. :)
Just tried the technique of the wet/damp paper towel you mentioned and it worked like a charm! ❤️ It added more smoothness to the fog and the trees.
Wonderful! It's great, right?! I love the hard edges, too, but not all the time, so using this technique is quite helpful.
Thanks, Jackie! I love your videos!
You are so welcome! And thank you for spending time with me on here and enjoying my content. :)
I appreciate your sense of self. I too am lazy 😊. I also love the wilderness - of course mountains. 💕 Love you style. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Haha I'm unashamed. It's nice to know I'm not the ONLY one out there who feels this way.
Thank you, Donna!
Ein Wunderschöner Wald , ich liebe den Wald auch , da macht das Aquarellieren gleich mehr Spaß 🥰
Couldn’t agree more 🌲🌲
Thank you for watching.
Im going to start painting and you showed me what i want to paint😊
Wonderful! Happy painting! 🌲
Very inspiring, thank you so much for the tutorial and the explanations 🫶
You are so welcome!
I love this tutorial. I love the trees and mist. I’m wondering how you would develop misty portraits.
Good question! I’m not sure. I’ve never actually painted a portrait, but I bet it’d be beautiful. I’ve done silhouettes in mist but that’s it.
You do a misty forrest just beautiful, and I like the way you explain so many details.
I love painting landscapes, but my favorite are hot sunsets and sunrises.
Maybe sometime you can do a hot sunset, silhouette, with evergreens💕🖌x
Thank you, Penny for the feedback! Do you have favorite colors in mind?
Hmm I shall add that to my tutorial ideas with my personal twist on it.
@JackiePeacock I do not do a lot of hot sunsets, because I cannot hardly find any artist who do them. I would really like to find more watercolor artists that do.
I'm not that good at them, but I do look at photos, and work from them.
I usually use:
Quin magenta
Cad yellow
Cad orange
Winsor red
I'm not good at them, but I would love to learn more about painting a hot sky and silhouette sunsets.
I also enjoy your misty forrests, you do them so beautifully. 💕🖌xx
Lovely tutorial. New subscriber. I would love to know more about your paint dishes. They look to be really useful for holding a full pan and having room to mix puddles of paint while having a small footprint too. Thank you for this beautiful tutorial.
Thank you, Lea! I appreciate that.
The tiny pans I use are from an Etsy shop called TirraLyra, but it looks like they are taking a break. However, you can search for "enameled pans" on Etsy and find more of different shapes and sizes. I like them because it's less overwhelming when I'm using limited colors for tutorials.
@@JackiePeacock thank you so much. I had searched a few other videos of yours and learned about them there. Yes the shop is on a break but I’ll keep my eye open. Love the smaller footprint for my desk yesterday enough space to work easily with different values.. limited palettes are awesome…..even though I love color so much!
Haha yes, I totally hear you on the desk space. There's just never enough! ;) I hope you can get the pans you're after.

Thank you for the video!
I am getting a bit better but oh I have such a long way to go. I am enjoying the journey and you are helping me along the way, as well as being an inspiration. Much Appreciated !!!
Absolutely!
The learning journey never ends. But, it's wonderful to look back at paintings from the past and compare to the current ones. Sometimes we forget how much we've learned.
Thank you for sharing this with me :)
You give me hope that I can achieve something like this. Thank you so much💜
That is the best comment, because I absolutely want you to feel that you can. And you can! 🤍
Я вчера нашла ваш канал и нарисовала 2 рисунка по вашим урокам. Большое вам спасибо 🌹🥰
Ooh I love that! I hope you enjoyed them! Thank you for sharing that with me and for spending time on my channel with me. :)
I absolutely love your channel! I got into watercolor a few months ago and you are an incredible inspiration. I love landscape as well. My favorite.
Incredible inspiration?! Omg, I'm blushing and feeling very happy that I can inspire others. What a wonderful feeling. Thank you so much, Jeanie.
What's your absolute favorite landscape to paint?
@@JackiePeacock trees, mountains, water, plants....not so good at animals though. 😁
I can’t really paint animals either haha or flowers!
@@JackiePeacock I love the way you have rustic decor and lights around as you paint. The nature sounds too. Right up my alley. Very relaxing to watch.
Thank you. I have such a strong connection to nature and the woods, so it was important for me to add small elements of that in my videos. I'm so glad you connect with it as well. I love the experience and mood it gives anyone who watches.@@jeaniestebbins8324
Heel mooi!❤
Thank you! :)
Beautiful, thank you l😊
You're welcome, MsMerlin :)
Beautiful awesome work❤💟❤💟💖💝💞💖💞💖💞❤👏💞👏💞👍💞👏💞💕💞💖💖💟💖💞
Thank you so much!
I’d love to own this piece, Jackie. I can only imagine how gorgeous it would look with the right matting and frame. Is any of your work for sale? I grew up in Oregon so this is a very reminiscent scene for me. My favorite watercolor channel by far!
Oregon is stunning.
This piece isn’t for sale, but I’ve thought about making prints of some of the tutorials. I’m also considering painting original forest landscapes to sell sometime this year. You can always sign up to my email list on my website at jackiepeacock.com
I’ll announce it there.
I appreciate the interest in my work. 🌲
practice practice and play play practice more.
I like the effect very much. I guess your painting would get much more depth if the foreground trees would be a bit taller, a bit darker and overlap the middle ground.
So many ways to paint misty scenes, and that’s an excellent suggestion. 🌲
i have been painting and drawing for 4 years and i still don't see any progress :( what should i do??
Sometimes taking a little break and doing something else creative wise has helped me. I’ve taken a week off and that’s been good, but ultimately keep practicing.
Do you only paint misty pine forests?
It’s my main subject, but I paint mountains, lakes, rivers etc. but I mostly focus on mist when it comes to landscapes. Is there anything you’d love to see? Always open to suggestions.
Very difficult
Was the the trees? I know those can be tricky. I have a video specifically on trees if you’d like to watch that? Let me know how I can help.
Not taping down the paper and you keep hawking those brushes... nope, not liking this one at all.
Thanks for the feedback! Something to keep in mind.
