Stock cover is rouded also like banks not flat like g2. I really dont know if it makes that big of a difference. Maybe im wrong btw cenpeco gear lube is great stuff. Currie Enterprises will not honor warranty on diffs. that has synthetic gear oil put in them.
When you think about it, it makes sense. 1) You don't want any turbulance 2) Fluid heat is bad and all fluid radiators have similar physical properties
Mine was on there for years and I never had any issues with it. I only changed mine because I got the Banks as a gift from my gf otherwise I would have not gone out of my way to buy it. I'd say if you already have a G2 use it. 👍🏽
I almost pulled the trigger on a Mag Hytec but stumbled across Gale's videos on youtube about flat backs lol. I'm OCD so needless to say I waited about a year until the diff cover was finally released. I couldnt ignore the data him and his company provided and the man hours involved in R&D.
G2 is an upgrade as far as looks go, over the stock cover, but it is a downgrade in performance over a stock cover. Banks proved it before they made their own. All of the flat backs were proven to cause the lubricant to churn more, which in turn raised the lube temperature. Banks is both a looks upgrade and a performance upgrade.
G2 Giveaway Closed winner will be announced on my next video. Thanks!
The new version has a spot for a temp prob, below the glass sight!!

Worth IMO! 👍🏽
I wish they make front one
& make for semi truck all diffs
I was looking at AFE front diff and it seems very similar to oem design.
