    It’s that time of year in Texas when allergies = runny, sore, red noses. So I made some and put it in lip balm tubes so my kids can throw them in their bags and it’s amazing! Thanks Marie!

    Hello, I love going through all your older videos and try and find some hidden gems that I haven't watched before, with this product if I wanted to make the shelf life longer and to be kept outside and may come in contact with rain water, could I add some sort of preservative? I'm asking this as I have a pony and would love to use this on my ponies feet but I would have to keep the product outside, Thank you so much

    Marie, you've GOT to work with arnica, even if only for your own use. It's incredible for bruises.

    I make calendula salve all the time but have never added IPM. Is it just to make it less greasy on the skin?
    It is INCREDIBLE for your skin. Calendula infused oil is my go-to for most products these days.

    I made a salve a week and half back, the recipe didn't call for any water. But I see it today after a few days and it's covered with TON of weird looking whitish things on it and all over it inside (I can see as it's a transparent glass container) on the sides.. The top.. The base everywhere inside! It looks like white mould but I'm not able to understand why? I didn't add any water. What could I have done wrong?

    WOW! I followed link after link after link and still couldn't find the recipe on how to make your own calendula oil... is there an easier way? Although I'm sure all the content you provide is helpful and appreciated it is time consuming.

      I'm sorry you are frustrated. The information on how to make the calendula oil is contained in the very first link in the description box (it's right in the blog post that also has the recipe), with the header "To prepare the calendula infusion". I try very hard to make everything as easy to find as possible :) Happy making!

    Is it possible to still use the isopropyl myristate if I heat my bath in the microwave?

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  Рік тому

      Yes, isopropyl myristate (IPM) is not volatile and can be heated.

    I made a similar salve and added menthol, I find that about 2 weeks later there seems to be white spots of either the beeswax or menthol separating. Any idea as to what is going on with my formula or how I can fix it. I’d appreciate your input thanks 😊

    Hi! Is it possible to make a water based salve? Like i wanted to make a magnesium based salve

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  3 роки тому +1

      Salves are generally oil based by definition, but you could look at a stick hardened with sodium stearate/propylene glycol as a base-that's what many commercial deodorants use :)

    Love your videos! But I would suggest you don’t wearing that purple vest for videos again. It made noise every time you moved even the slightest bit. I have been extra sensitive and have a harder time tuning out (and thus more easily distracted by) little noises like that since my concussion, so maybe others didn’t/don’t notice it as much.
