Shelby Bayer I wouldn’t have exactly pegged Sky as the kind of person to be all hung up about suit color, it was about the position with him and suit color was just coincidental, I could be wrong, but position often times it is color-coded because Power Rangers (and yes super sentai as well), but my opinion still stands.
Jen is definitely the most badass pink ranger, & Karone is one of the best overall characters

Kendrix's death was one of *THE* biggest gut punches in the history of Power Rangers. A pity NA writers nowadays are too soft to use death of Rangers in their storylines, it can elevate the stories so much more if they do.

I personally think that Kendrix and Jen tie for first I mean Jen goes through a lot of heartache, but Kendrix was definitely my favorite power ranger ever, every time I watch her death I can't help but cry. I used to hate Karone because she replaced her, but now I kinda like her.

Your list is pretty close to how mine would be too. I really connected with Kendrix as a character as a kid. She was smart, kind, and a great friend to the others on her team; her self-sacrifice was devastating. And Jen's character was one of the greatest leaders in Power Rangers, and honestly, Erin Cahill's performance had everything. She pulled off the drama, comedy, and heartfelt moments. I do feel like one overlooked Pink Ranger I'd include would be Kat. I feel like being a replacement for Kimberly (both in the role and as Tommy's love interest) means people don't always appreciate her; but I really liked her.
Shelby's my personal favourite pink ranger, she's a well balanced character and there's just something about her.

First off, I'm glad I found these series of videos.
Second, my observation over the years with Power Rangers is (with some exceptions of course), when there's two girls to a team and they're pink and yellow; the Yellow ranger is the tough girl and the Pink ranger is the girly girl. Why that is, I don't know.
And Jen is my favorite Pink Ranger :)
Going off topic of the video and speaking on the whole about Power Rangers, I like how Lightspeed made it's Rangers out of actual real life heroes. A firefighter, rescue workers and others. Can't get much more heroic than that.
Only Carter and Dana were rescue workers. Chad worked as a dolphin trainer at a SeaWorld type park (made a life guard in the Time Force team up), Joel was an air show stunt pilot, and Kelsey was an extreme athlete.
In the Sentai yellow is a guy and cop, red blue and green all work different aspects of the fire dept. and pink is a nurse. Also they are siblings. I think that would be interesting to have a team where the whole starting Rangers are family.
I feel like Karone was the better voice to become the second pink ranger rather than Cassie. While Cassie may have felt responsible for the death of Kendrix, due to how Kendrix sacrificed herself to save Cassie, she still had her own team that still needed her, since they decided to continue being rangers for whatever reason. Plus, I feel Karone feels FAR more guilt for the death of Kendrix because it was caused at the hands of her own creation from when she was Astronema, Psycho Pink. It showed her wanting to atone for the sins of her past. Plus, she got to live out her childhood dream of becoming a power ranger.
And Is that because Karone kidnapped Ashley noting that her Brother Andros fell in love with her? And Is that because Zhane save karone's Life for good? The audience watching in space were said if Astronema might become a Power Rangers. So Karone becomed Pink Ranger in Lost Galaxy. She Is the best character

10: Rose: She stands out from the other lackluster characters but stands out
9: Syd: While she overly disliked I think she learns alot and is a good character But is not as good as the characters above her
8: Dana: She Is underated In my opinion but Is still a great character and often shows how good of a ranger she is
7: Kat: Underated as well especially when she does not make these lists but she constantly shows how great of a ranger and character is when she replaced Kimberly and shows to be a good replacement for her and a good ranger
6: Cassie: The fact that she is willing to give up her goal to be a singer to save the world I think is enough of a description of why she made the list
5: Kimberly: Now I know others rank her higher but I still included her in the top 5 so sue me. While she is a Vally girl she is still a nice person and legit gets kidnapped as a cause of Refusing to give up and keep fighting
4: Jen: While almost every single list ranks her at Number 1 I don't think badassness makes a good character but she is still a great character she learns to except Wes as the leader and Learns to lighten up a bit after Alex's death and legit leads the team which I think is great
3: Shelby: While she is probably actually my favorite pink Ranger The rangers above her are better characters but Shelby is still amazing She is a breath of fresh air as she is so different from the other pink Rangers She wants to earn the respect she deserves and prove herself to mainly Kendall and eventually succeeds which is amazing
2: Karone: The reason she is this high is because of her growth between in space and Lost Galaxy and her transition from villain to hero shows how much she has grown and she proves that she is not anymore not ever will be evil Ever again

Honorable Mention:Sarah: They seemed to be trying to making Kendrix or Rose but forgot what was good about both of them she is a good character miles better than Mia and Emma but the writers forgot what made a character like Rose Kendrix good and also the fact that the previous Pink Ranger Shelby was one of the best pink Rangers of all time and she downgraded really does not help Matters still miles better than Mia or Emma because atleast she had a character unlike them

1: Kendrix: I have no words like you but let's try She is not just one of the best pink Rangers but one of the best characters she knows what it means to be a ranger and how it could end her life but unlike most she actually gave it up for that same goal which is exactly why she gets the Number 1 on this list
Syd wasn’t really bad ... at all, she just didn’t get much focus. Then again, none of the SPD rangers really got much that focus aside from Jack, Sky and Cruger.

Still say it is a 3 way tie for 1 Kimberly Jen an Kendricks either one can be in that number one spot. Jen being the only female to ever lend the power rangers definitely deserve the respect she is not a bad fighter either she pretty damn skilled. Kendricks is a all around ranger she helped the rangers alot in the way Billy did as well she also is one of the few rangers who were willing to be a sacrifice for everyone so that puts her in a elite list with rangers the likes of Tommy who's life was on the line everytime he wore green an almost died getting the rangers their powers back elite list so again she earns her respect. Kimberly again another ranger who pretty much earned it being the first pink ranger she is the of the longest reigning pink ranger reigning from the original mighty morphing up to becoming the pink ninja ranger she has lots of skill as a ranger two. So that one can go either way I personally think it's a 3 way tie cause you can keep going with reasons y all 3 deserve to be there

I've heard in an interview with David Yost, the MMPR team inspired kids to become gymnasts or martial artists, and I wouldn't be surprised if Dana's character inspired kids (or more-so little girls) to become doctors. For a character on TV to leave such a positive impact on a kid's life, to the point where that same kid decides to follow in the footsteps of that character's career, speaks volumes about that character. I also wouldn't be surprised by Alison MacInnis being emotionally-moved by her adult fans at the Morphicon telling her they became doctors because of Dana.
Finally someone who agrees Dana is underrated. Also I can totally image Alison crying happy tears after reading a deeply moving fan mail.

I think the Star Trek thing was kind of happenstance. I never really found out about it until In Space came rolling in and only then did I actively seek it out. But I probably would still love it, especially Picard and the crew, even if In Space never happened. The funny part is, little kid me somehow didn't catch the space bug from Star Wars despite seeing that before anything else space related, lol
Jen was my favorite growing up. Had the hugest crush on her back in the day, one of my first in fact. She really stood out to me with how tough she could be, capable and a good leader. But at the same time, showed what a caring/kind nature she had. And also that she was so gorgeous as was the actress who played her Erin Cahill.

I reckon I will do more lists than just Ranger colors! The first of such lists will most likely be top 10 BEST Ranger Villains, since that's an area I've thought a lot about over the years. Best arcs/actors is a really good idea too so I'll probably think about those.

I'd say Dino Charge is far better than the two Neo-Saban seasons that came before it. The biggest reason being that the Dino Charge cast is leagues above the teams that defined those other two seasons. Shelby I talked about here but Tyler is also great and Riley and Koda have their moments. Heck, even Ivan is really fun. And I absolutely adore Kendall. So yeah, I'd recommend it, lol.
Duvie Dino charge was good but Dino supercharge could've had a lot more. Ninja steel is still being judged.

Mia is not a very good character mainly because all of her traits are pretty surface level and she portrays them about as flat as anybody else on her humdrum cast save Antonio, who acts like the only guy excited to be there.
At least Emily got a few moments where you could tell in subtle ways that she was growing, Mia got none of that. She's just kind of an oblivious mom-figure that never cleanly fit into what Samurai was doing as a whole.
I forgot Jen was the Pink Ranger. Probably because I've thought of her as the Red Ranger(because they usually lead the team)

Personally, Kimberly will always be my favorite for being the OG!! She is the reason why I fell in love with the franchise in the first place!!
I feel like everyone forgets that the leader of the aquitar rangers was female because that season is so short and forgetable
After seeing the list before # 1 I called it that Jen timeforce pink would be, but I do agree with the selections.
I feel bad for all these other pink rangers, there will likely never be another pink ranger or ranger in general like Jen. It’s unlikely another season will create the circumstances she had for two major reasons
1. No other season will have the balls to kill a red Ranger, and have the girl step up to lead. “Woah! We can’t be airing this! Think of the children!”
2. A Pink Ranger will never be the leader again because pink doesn’t sell toys as well as red.
Don’t get me wrong Jen is a top tier Ranger, I loved her character and these choices are awesome, it’s just a shame it’ll probably never happen again.
Where is Sydney? She was amazing too despite getting less focus ❤️
Also, of note is Kim's power transfer is unique in that it doesn't fully transfer the power and she still possesses a portion of pink ranger energy that can be reawakened with the sword of light. God, the boom comics are awesome.

I honestly skip over Kendrix a lot when thinking about ranger greats. I use to have Syd above her because of her strength but Kendrix is a very unique pink ranger for her time a day deserves to be higher on ranger list. Thanks for the insight

Top ten Pinks? Easy (doing this before watching the video OOPS)
1. Jen - Perhaps the Pink Ranger with the best arc in the series, she grows in both subtle and obvious ways over the course of her season. She lead her team well, and she even became a mentor in Hyperforce! Beyond that, and despite everything, she ALWAYS keeps going.
2. Ranger Slayer - despite multiple formerly evil Pinks, Kimberly Hart of the Drakkon timeline was the first true evil Pink Ranger, and she’s exactly what could be expected of someone who fought a war and lost but kept fighting, anyways. Furthermore, she recently stole my favorite line from Shattered Grid for herself through Battle For The Grid’s Story Mode
3. Karone - not only did she set a new standard for villainy, she was the final use of the power transfer trope (outside of like…SPD, I guess). Her arc is one of the best developed in the series and brought to the most perfect conclusion. Going from villain to hero, but not ignoring her past. Not forgetting.
4. Katherine - By now it should be obvious that I’m a sucker for the evil Pink trope. Kat honestly deserved far more development than we got, but I also think she was the first evil Ranger done right (no offense to Green With Evil, but it was too self contained). There’s AFTERMATH to what she did beyond “a new Ranger”, growing pains as she integrates into the team. Subtle references to it, in multiple future arcs.
5. Cassie - This girl is an actual sweetheart, and I loved her each time I met her. She worked amazingly well in Turbo, her “I don’t want to be here” mixing with her good heart, and her immediate friendship with TJ (which is also one of like 7 Valid Red/Pink ships). She grew as a character in In Space (Wasp with a Heart was especially good). Heck, she even had a major role in Kendrix’s “death” during Lost Galaxy. She’s simultaneously sweet and tough, and I just… adore her.
6. Kendrix - This kind, genius, determined Pink exemplifies what they are and what they do. Pinks are almost always the ones to hold teams together and reach out to allies, and isn’t that especially true of Kendrix? Who passed her powers down in person, despite her death, sacrificed herself to save Cassie, and just generally was amazing?
7. Dana - honestly Lightspeed might be my least favorite season (it’s the only one I could remember nothing about until I re-entered the PR fandom), but I do love the characters. Dana grew up training to be a Ranger, without knowing it, and she was amazing one. Furthermore, we know she continued to help people as part of Lightspeed, for years after.
8. Rose - probably my favorite character of Overdrive. She was… less annoying than others, and I love seeing a genius Pink. She was invaluable to her team, on multiple occasions, and she actually got a good focus episode or two? She’s a good Pink on an iffy season, and that makes me kinda sad.
9. Shelby - Sure of herself on dinosaurs an not much else, Shelby proved to be the best Pink of the Neo-Saban era. She was snarky and bubbly and just… generally an intelligent and enjoyable character. And have I mentioned how much I love genius Pinks?
10. Emma - a personality? In MEGAFORCE??? Okay, I joke. I actually like the character dynamics of Super Mega Fuckup, and that’s where Emma actually shines. Her interactions with each and every member of her team are fun and natural. She brings out Troy and Gia’s personalities, comforts Orion, and I loved her dynamic with Jake (such as in the Jungle Fury tribute episode). Also that time she chased around that one monster with various cosplay outfits was Iconic

She was my childhood crush (after Alex Russo) and she was tough but sweet and shows how much she cares about her team and how it will always come first. She had great leader quality but was kinda pushed back however I think she should at least be in everyone's top 5

The thing is, Syd is one of my least favorite Rangers. She makes a fuss about having to go to work on her birthday, she dislikes a dog then all of a sudden likes it because it gets shot, is generally speaking the least valuable member of her team in any number of areas, she doesn't have any semblance of an immersive backstory or a well defined character arc(neither does Bridge, but he has his quirk and out of the box intelligence to carry him through), and doesn't leave any kind of real impression on me even in her focus episodes. So for all those reasons, she was never going to make a list like this. Sorry :/
And sure, she's cute I guess. I never really thought she was but hey, I'm also the weirdo who thinks Kendrix is way prettier than Maya so what do I know? Lol

The Disney Brain i think syd mostly suffers from being overshadowed by jack sky and doggie. Shes good and stubborn mostly. Kind of like they tried to make her vida but didnt have time to play it or cast it very well.
But one thing nobody mentioned with kendrix is that as far as I recall shes the only pink ranger with glasses but still keeps a very out going and feminine appearance. Kinda ballsy.

I will definitely be doing a top 10 for Red Rangers too! It'll probably end up being the last character top 10 I do for the franchise after the other color distinctions.

I figured that I would let you know that when in the original power rangers, Amy Jo Johnson and the other two readers that were the first three to leave, the reason they left was because of what happened behind the scenes. They were wanting to get paid a little more and Saban wasn't having it, so it was written up that Kimberly with Kay's help would leave the team to pursue her gymnastic dreams. Hence why we didn't see her again till the Turbo movie. Just figured I'd let you know that.
Oh yeah, I know about most of the behind the scenes drama. I just don't factor that into most of my analysis, save the Kendrix part, because it's more about the characters and less about the actors per say.
Well I figured that I'd let you know, considering that that did factor into why she left the show right there. Normally something like that, aside from Kendrix, doesn't effect what happens on screen, but that right there did. Nothing else actually happened (again aside from Kendrix) that would warrant going from behind the camera's to in front of the cameras, however that right there not only had an impact it almost affected the first Power Rangers movie. Amy Jo and Saban had already signed the contracts for the movie when all of that went down. However due to the fact that they had already signed them (considering she was getting paid slightly more for the movie than she was for the show), Saban couldn't fire her out of the movie. However considering that everything was dragging out behind the scenes when it came to finding Amy Jo's replacement for the show that's why it looked like the two had nothing to do with each other. Basically for the movie, Amy Jo got a bump in pay, however had to go back to the non-movie pay scale after and wanted to go back to the movie pay scale, but Saban was having none of that. So he fired her, but kept her on the show till they found her replacement and then got rid of her. The other two that left with her were basically trying to back her up and got caught up in the entire thing. It's one of the main reasons why no one leaves in the middle of the series any more (aside from personal situations that warrant it, namely like Kendrix). However I figured that I would give you more background on that.
No one left alongside Amy Jo Johnson. It was Jason, Zack, and Trini who left as a threesome. Of the other Ranger actors at the time, all went on to Zeo, except Karan Ashley. David Yost left during Zeo due to a hostile work environment.

Fun Fact: Karone wasn't originally supposed to be the second Galaxy Pink Ranger. It was supposed to be Cassie return from Power Rangers: In Space series that took over for Kendrick but some behind-the-scenes drama affected that. Jen was always the leader of the Time Force Ranger I don't think Wes was one at all.
