After living through being a teen parent (and soooo much more) I made DAMN sure the cycle stopped with me. It is 100% her mom’s fault. There are a few cases where the parents don’t have control but in this particular case, her mom wants to be their friend. As a parent you need to understand your role, your kids already have friends and in most cases only have 2 parents. Her mom is irresponsible and gullible.

Had a baby at 16, I'm 22 now. It's tough being a young parent but not all of us are that bad. I moved away from all my family 2 weeks before my due date, and learnt that I needed to be responsible for my baby and me alone.

I had 2 children by the time I was 17 because my mom just didn't care what I did, she cared more about what her own man was doing. After living through being a teen parent (and soooo much more) I made DAMN sure the cycle stopped with me. I have 3 sons who are 29,25 and 23 who have NO CHILDREN and a 30yr old daughter who has children but started at 21. You CAN do ALOT to keep your kids from having kids too early. It starts with pulling your head out of the sand and stop DENYING the fact that your teens ARE sexually active!

It is 100% her mom’s fault. There are a few cases where the parents don’t have control but in this particular case, her mom wants to be their friend. As a parent you need to understand your role, your kids already have friends and in most cases only have 2 parents. Her mom is irresponsible and gullible.
