I was alright with your review until the very end. 😀 I disagree 100%, the IS500's luxury cred is just as good as the Germans. As far as the rest of the review, if you want technical mastery, get a Bimmer. If you want emotion, get the IS500. (Which is what Lexus wanted.) I drive mine in Manual & Sport S+ most of the time and keep the RPMs above 4K to stay in the power band. My gas mileage sucks, but the performance and fun factor are at a 10 every single time as a result. It's not a ZF obviously, but I'm never caught with my pants down. 😜 The Throttle House's conclusion on the IS500 sums up its place in the segment perfectly. I also agree with you, the IS is the best looking car in this segment. Thanks for posting!

This car is it!! Just a nice aftermarket exhaust and tint and that’s it! I just will Cruz and growl down the road and hit the front row parking at the beach and gym! Nice V8 with 4 doors! The ultimate daily driver in my book.

I think he's just too young to really appreciate it. He hasn't driven enough cars or driven long enough to have a sufficient base of experience.

@@GaudinX - Dude, you're arrogant, but you've got nothing to justify that arrogance. You need a lesson in humility. Otherwise, your channel will never grow.

He’s totally right. I wish Lexus would have done more to bring the car up to date in a few areas. Me personally I’ll still buy one because I’m all for reliability. But I mean come on -,- why not at least put the new infotainment system in the 500 -,- or at least give us the option.

You’re one of the very few I’ve seen who don’t like the IS500 F Sport. To each his own.

I originally wanted an is350 but since Lexus seems to not want to update the interior I might go with an NX350h instead and just get a second car

I just sold my 2014 BMW X5 MSport Executive performance package 80k on ticker. Dealer maintained 10 years of owning out of pocket 15k expansion tank 2 rear suspension replaced sun roof cassette replaced 4 fuel injectors replaced and leaking oil pan . 2008 Lexus gs 350 153000 k zero issues maybe 3k brakes rad hose tires huge expense on bmw . Deep pockets for after warranty care . I just bought IS 500 being delivered next week I want reliability and not the god awful sound bmw malfunction drive caution or check engine light. BMW 3 years get out of it BMW Mercedes are great lease them 3 years get out Lexus buy hold zero issues . Just my thoughts I want to drive it and have fun after warranty who knows if can push HP over 550 😂

It's not a mid-size car. It's a compact car. Find another day job. You don 't have the credibility to be an auto reviewer.

They sound good but for a v8 it’s slow compared to a mustang or camaro

It’s about than a manual Camaro or Mustang, with two more doors that’s ok with me. I had a Mustang GT premium PP1 before this car.
