Don't know why nobody posts this: dear people..if you are going to plan a trip into Mexico.. you need to plan for the following..if you are going south.. you need to get a permit.. to travel from NBaja to SBaja.. you can get it at the border easy. It's never the same but.. they charge an import fee for your bike that you get 98% of the money back. And you need a tourist visa..if you need 30,60 days, make sure it's right before you leave the office..yes longer visas are available..if you are planning to take a ferry from Baja to mainland or other way.. bring 2,3 cheap nylon tie downs to secure your bike on the boat.. Mexico has good grocery stores and has gas stations.. smaller towns don't always have premium so if you can't run on 87 octane..be prepared. Mexico has auto parts stores to get fuel supplements.. there are ATM machines in big towns.. don't carry a mountain of cash.. but do carry enough cash for a snack in pants or jacket pocket..in that pocket or another carry money for toll roads..$1,2 bucks usually.. you don't want to unload all your bags.. and don't anticipate using your credit card.. for tolls, coffee or food at small places.... know, please, thank you, where is... and the days of the week and numbers up to 20 in Spanish before you leave.. know if you have tubeless or tubed tires before you leave.. have a contact that can FedEx you something in an emergency..on a BMW that can be an ignition or fuel pump part.. make sure that your tires are in excellent.. outstanding condition.. normally you can get common filters in Mexico and you can always get proper oil for a change if you need it.. have clothes for rain..if you are allergic to beef chicken cilantro, tomatoes or onions.. don't go near the border.. and have a hand size towel, soap, and flip flops.. there are still some towns w public showers and if you were camping.. it's a couple of bucks well spent in your not staying at a hotel/motel.. and have a phone plan,or phone that works for Mexico.. that may mean buying a SIM card.. and most common convenience stores can refill the card based on the phone number and that service is available at most medium to large grocery stores.... have all your vital docs in a Ziploc where you can get them easy.. won't be asked often but if you don't act like you are dumb, surprised or both.. everything is good.. and never get an attitude or stop being happy to be in Mexico and to be showing your documents to some Mexican official.. there is a channel of a guy going South on a Harley..he has not done anything on this list and it's super sad or comical depending how you see it

Well done Kseniia! You probably know the saying: “those that can do, those that can’t criticise”. Or give unwanted advice. And you seem to be pretty comfortable on your nice motorcycle. Everyone drops their bike from time to time. Or their computer, or iPhone, or whatever. So ignore the flack, and keep heading where your heart wants you to go. уда́ча!!!

I depend on him as my navigator and all the other things that go along with traveling in a foreign country. Neither of us know Spanish but we get by. Just crossing the border can be very confusing, but you managed. I’d be just like you if I was traveling on my own. Great job. I will be following you and rooting you on.

I've only been in San Felipe once and they didn't want Mexican money only American money. I smile all the time when you have problems, stay positive, talk to yourself and keep going - You Go Girl! If you ever get to the greater Phoenix area give a shout. Please be safe and have fun!

You seem new at border crossings, nervous :) It's ok after you do it a few times it will be like crossing the street. Mexico is one of the easiest so it was a good place to start. I would bet anyone in almost any country will take US dollars, you just might not get a good deal on it, but you will be able to get food etc. I am surprised it's so cold there, I see sniffling, and bundling up like it's Siberian winter! But there are palm trees everywhere so I'm confused lol. You look happy out there on your trip, that's great! Be careful what areas you travel, do research first, not everywhere is controlled by federal police. I love the little sign you made for your top box haha! Maybe later can get one professionally made from vista print! I know from my trips that half the battle is figuring out where to go. Good luck on your adventure and be safe!

One of the reasons why ichtyboots gets along so well is that she can speak about 6 languages it’s always a lot easier when you can talk to someone in their language

Hi! Thanks for the feedback. I am still figuring out the filming setup - this whole filming thing is absolutely new for me :) Sound is tricky at first. External microphone is needed for sure.

Watch out for the sea urchins along the coast in the rocks . Long sharp spines can stick in your feet , and be quite painful . Isn't Baja cool. I drove to the tip.

oh my god! jajajaja., it is really bad when you go to a place where you do not know the language, because the first thing you can do is talk to the locals and they will tell you where are the best places to camp., i have gone to San Felipe as a mexican and that is the advantage..... but what i can say is that your video was so excited., It is a pitty i was not there to help you, although in San Felipe there are many bilingual residents and expats from all the USA living there.
