- I start another day of my solo motorcycle trip in Gonzaga Bay. Passing through multiple military checkpoints, riding off road through cactus forest in Sonoran Desert, and eventually being stopped by Guardia Nacional. It was a long ride, and I find my rest in San Ignacio at the end of the day - an oasis in the desert.
Taking my BMW R 1250 GS adventure motorcycle to the land of Mexico!

@@jimydoolittle3129 Here in Mexico there are checkpoints at different points in many cities, it is a review of the documents and that everything goes well. Some may behave badly but in my case they are few... they don't do it with a bad plan, it's their job.

A great video Kseniia. I enjoyed especially the dirt section where you bypassed the highway. Your bike seems to really be handling everything very easily - it sounds so relaxed whether you are on the dirt or on the pavement. You seem to find the most interesting places to stay overnight. I am really looking forward to more videos from Mexico.

I'm really surprised that this girl doesn't have more subscribers and views than she does. Her videos are very well made and even have good music. She's like a Russian Itchy Boots, and that Itchy boots has nearly 2,000,000 subscribers. Maybe it has something to do with Kseniia sounding like Latka from the old TV show Taxi. I don't know.

I almost married a girl in San Ignacio when I was biking through there! Was a French colony long ago. Wonderful people throughout there . Helps if you are fluent in Spanish.

I love every corner in Baja, but the one time me and my family stayed in that oasis place we stayed there like 5 days (we were supposedly for one night! ) Absolutely love everything there... except for the never ending stupidity of the same questions made by state police, Guardia Nacional, Marina, local police, ejercito etc etc. I always print one page with the 5 questions and answers.
Keep on going with ypur adventures! Enjoy one of the best parts of Mexico my homeland.

Fantastic Kseniia! I love your attitude, it's refreshing to see a normal bike vlogger. I've just back to NZ after riding from Vancouver to Panama. The La Paz ferry is fun but make sure you get a cabin. I had sleep on the deck during a storm. :) I'm guessing you'll be doing Central America? You have to go to Ometepe a volcanic island in Nicaragua. you can get your own room at The Lazy Crab hostel and meet the very cool Ryder. Also, when you get to Panama and you need shipping etc talk to Alejandro at The Overland Embassy. Such a cool guy. In fact he's still looking after my bike until I go back soon and carry on to Ushuaia. keep up your fantastic and funny commentary. Cheers James

The area south of Guerrero Negro where the National Police stopped you appears to be a favorite place for them this year.
A few months ago you had to ride through the deep sand along side the highway repairs. You were lucky to able to stay on the pavement as it was no fun in deep sand with semi trucks.
Oh yes! When going south - I was looking at some sandy sides of the road with tire tracks and just praying there is no active roadwork happening.
Stop by and visit Roatan... If you goin to south.. is in tha caribean of honduras!!
Je viens de découvrir par hasard ta chaine . Une femme qui roule en solitaire est déjà en soi un exploit mais en plus , qui roule en GS1250 ce n'est pas commun parce que la plupart des bloqueuses roulent en petite cylindrée . Bravo pour cet exploit cylindrique . à voir tes sorties off-road , je suis surpris et enthousiasmé parce que je sais de quoi je parle quand on roule en solitaire . La moindre faute , le moindre accident pourrait avoir de graves conséquences , sans personne pour t'aider ni te secourir . BRAVO ...

The Sonoran Desert is the desert on the main land across from where you are. Basically, the other side of the Sea of Cortez.
The desert you are in is called "desierto de Baja" or Baja Desert.

Try a Kidney belt . It can make a difference in how fast you get tired when ridriding all day .

It's a wide belt made specifically for supporting the lower back, that adjusts with velcro straps at the front. Something you should be able to find at most motorcycle stores. It makes a big difference.

When you head back north, you can head towards Encinada to the valley of Guadalupe, where you will see lots of wineries and a HUGH Rusian community that has been here forever. It's worth the ride.
