I am Russian and I do not drink alcohol at all. I live in Czech Republic and I must say thay people here drink much more than Russian. People from UK, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic can drink a beer every day and dont consider themselves as alcoholics. But in Russia drinking every day means alcoholism.

Vodka, balalayka, babushka😂 As for me, I don't drink vodka)) As for the pickles, carpets and caviar it's damn true! In childhood they fed us with caviar so much in order to help us to gain weight generally. And by the way, my hubby has just said that bear's meat is available in some popular shops (but only in some of them), there's jerked meat and kinda confee meat. I’m Polish and we had past with Russia and steal dealing with some 💩 right now BUT we as nation showed big love to Ukrainians and they gave us what?! Vandalism, ppl being rude and Banderciaga 🤦♀️ so I feel like they enjoy the situation rather than fight for their own country…
I will tell you a story. I was at the beach with my family and a Ukrainian men was on the phone talking to his friends, saying how cool it is here, and that the government gives loads of money and they can work on the side and not declare it, and most houses had pools. I wanted to spit in his face…😏.

Russian perfumes? We use all perfumes from Fr, Us, It and etc. But our brand is Novaya Zarya. Its very old, popular, cheap brand. But most of all using french perfumes

I think people who judge others for their accent should think that these people speak at least two languages. Personally i love how English sounds with Russian accent:)
Look, I also try to avoid medications for every little thing and love using natural remedies, but it's important to acknowledge that without modern medicine, people used to die from a simple infection because of no antibiotics, around 1 in 2 newborns died before reaching the age of 15, vaccines almost eradicated certain diseases, there's maaany other examples of why we should be thankful for modern medicine.

My favorite response to racism (especially jokes?) is to just keep saying "I don't get it" so they have to waste their time repeating it and trying to clarify their own stupid opinions out loud until they realize they are out of line and they sort of just fizzle out and quietly stop, hopefully just feeling stupid.
Not a cure all, but it at least lets people know I'm not on the same page about that shit and not to waste their time trying to get me on their side about it. I just make it less rewarding, I guess.
Unfortunately I can't imagine it would be any fun to be on the receiving end of people's BS about race and culture, people are human and there are great things about everyone.

Mila, I also live in Eastern Europe and...bear meat?? ahahahaha. Drink vodka? of course. Alcohol is usually something common in countries with cold weather. If you don t know that... look at the Scandinavian countries. They drink vodka and they don t even know how to do it. 😅😅 In my country's climate vine is more appropriate. And also we had carpets here. Not anymore because of the progress, but countries with cold climate did have carpets on the wall for obvious reasons.
Let me tell you a fact about the russians: women are the best in cosmetics: hair, nails. everything. The best services in my country are provided by women from Russia, Moldavia etc.
Bag on the floor is a superstition in my country too. Also if you leave the house and come back because you forget something...your day will be ruined 😅😅😅😅

Even Victoria Bonya, that you've mentioned earlier, gets a lot of negativity in her comment section. Unfortunately it's quite a common thing among post-soviet women. If they can't handle your happiness, they type these shitty comments. I say it from my personal experience, as russian myself I got used to these reactions, especially from older generations.
Almost same stereotypes for Serbians too, all Slavs are misrepresented
I'm Romanian and my grandparents used to live very close to the northwest border, so during vacation I used to watch Russian TV. Of course I didn't understand nothing besides da and niet, but it was fun watching something different from the communist Romanian TV.

In my culture, we have a event called The Hmong (pronounced just mong without the H sound) new year where young ones would play a ball toss game to get to know each other or sings songs to each other. I live in the States, and we still have the Hmong New Year event but obviously that's not our only way of courting now lol. I feel Russians are a bit more family oriented too, correct me on this just because I don't know if it has change or looks a bit different now. And it would be cool to know if there are any past down Russian stories that your family pasted down to you that you'll be pasting down to your daughter that you can share. I have been watching you for years. I really love your channel, but I really want you and everyone else reading to know that the same way people wrongfully stereotype Russians, people very wrongfully stereotype Americans. Most of the things you all say about "the west" and America, is very foreign to me or is a very small percentage of people. I have not heard of this stereotype where people say Russia is doing bad lol but I do see people from other countries saying that we are so horrible in America. 😂 Absolutely not.
