NO Dear this solution will not work let take two date in same column in first cell Mention 01/05/2023 and in next 31/05/2023 and your system date is in US format then it will consider 01/05/2023 as correct date and change it to 5-Jan-2023 and second would be 31-May-2023, and we know that both dates are in same month
Yes, that is trick or need to know which format to be selected. Lots of people get confused here. Let me make it simple, we need to select that date format which we need to correct, that's it. Therefore, as per US date format, data was showing incorrect in my report, so I select Column data format "MDY". Hope it answer your question. If not, then highly suggest rewinding the video and only watch Timeline 11:00 to 11:15 in 15 seconds., you will get your answer. Don't forget to reply. ALL THE BEST👍
There are some problems when you change date format in excel... Let take first two rows Before changes 1st row (7/31/2012) 2nd row(02-05-2013 or 02 may 2013) But after changes 1st row ( 31-07-2012) 2nd row(05-02-2013) Here 2nd row also changed wrongly Check this
If you have a large number of dates to change, you can use Excel's Text to Columns feature to convert the dates to the correct format. Use the method which I mentioned in this video. When you increase width of that date column then dates matching your system region setting, that would get auto corrected and aligned right side. Means you would only have left align date which needs to be corrected. Either it would start from month or day, it doesn't matter as Data format which we select in Text to column wizard would take care that. Please watch video again and follow the method shown in video. There are some problems when you change date format in excel...
Let take first two rows
Before changes
1st row (7/31/2012)
2nd row(02-05-2013 or 02 may 2013)
But after changes
1st row ( 31-07-2012)
2nd row(05-02-2013)
