Wow thanks! We literally had a problem with this today! Our data stream changed from UK date format to US date format halfway through for no reason, and nothing we did would allow the format to change. Your solution worked!
Mehnnnn just 2 minutes into the video and i got the solution to what gave me sleepless nights, i just got an internship and i have one month to finish up 8 projects, this challenge kept me on one spot for days, the frustration was watching many videos on here with the problem remaining the same. Thank you, this saved me a lot of time manually correcting dates that would not convert into numbers or work on formulas as they were recognised as text with a time at the end after the date. The text to columns option as delimited file and separator as space allowed me to separate the time from the date and next choose the right date format option for the problematic dates. Thanks again.

HUGE help! So relieved to get that format changed to a date, thank you! Although, know when I take that newly formatted data and try to plot it on a graph it plots it as a number up to 5000??? How do I put it into a graph now that it's formatted as a date????
