Hi, just came across your channel. I thought you maybe in Queensland as we seem to be experiencing the same weather. So happy to have an aussie to watch and enjoy crocheting 'stuff' with.
I have numerous resin Furls hooks and have not had one break. Did lose a few of the wood streamline hooks but they were replaced free of charge by Furls. I have tried the Omni hooks and they are a little longer than my Furls resin hooks and just a bit different in the ergonomic design. I will keep trying but my Furls resin hooks really have me spoiled.
I love furls Odessey hooks. I’ve got the streamlines as well as the wooden hooks. Haven’t tried the Omni. I like the longer hooks. Thank you for the comparison.
All resin hooks can break depending on how it was treated example: I left my Furls( my fave hook in resin) on the bed and my grandson stepped on it. It was a 4.5 mm. Previous to this event I was using my 4 mm and it just broke, head snapped off. So from now on I use resin in 4.5mm and up.mI bought a replacement for the one the kiddo broke and Furls replaced the one that was flawed with no cost to me. I have Ommi hooks9 to be exact and have the wood and resin hook as well as the OTHER versions of Ommi. Yes their necks are a bit too long. It is sad to see Cinnamon stop using her Furls 😢
Resin hooks, no matter what brand breaks if you’re not careful w/them. I’ve broken both Furls/Ommi but I love them both even tho Ommi is my absolute favorite. I love the long shaft bcuz it allows for more stitches depending on what you’re making. A little tip abt some hooks, you may have to either wipe them off w/alcohol or run them thru/across wax paper bcuz of residue.

I agree… I use a microfiber cloth for mine. Works wonders 😉
