Hi Samantha, OMG they are stunning 😍. I couldn’t pick a favourite as they are all beautiful. I would love to try one of these sometime. Furls are out of my price range but these are great. 🤞🏻 I’ll get one sometime. Thank you for your review and I hope you have a wonderful weekend x
Hi Samantha, yep, that totally would have brought my kitties running if I had been watching this at home. Love the OMMI hooks. I am working on a pretty good collection of them myself. I also have quite a few Furls hooks, and a bunch of those cheapy hooks sets. I have way too many hooks, but I can't stop buying them. Ofcourse when you have 40 some projects going, and always keep the hook I am using with the project, i have to have a lot of hooks.
That's my thinking too, I mean what if you forget which hook size you're using on a project.. gotta keep the hook with it! But what if you need another of the same size for something else... that's what two hooks are for! 😂
I love your new hooks, my favorite one is the purple/pink and resin hooks are my go to hooks. They just fit in my hands so much better than any of the other ergonomic ones. Enjoy you new babies 🥰
I too built a whole set of mixed ommi & divot shilp hooks. What I did was order the whole sizes (4, 5, 6 etc) in the wand shape. And the half sizes are in the "furls" shape. I made a chart so I didn't order colors too the same next to each other 😂😂. I love these hooks and my clover Amour hooks. Enjoy your new hooks 😊
You always make me laugh in a good way! Love the hook unboxing I really love the purple one even though they're all pretty. Not a red white blue fan but the hook is pretty now if you take the white away it looks like the red is blood andis dripping. Just saying. Anyway have a nice weekend.
Nice hook unboxing. I’ve all the same hooks and colors you have plus other some other colors from Ommi. I’ve yellow, navy, pink sparkle, red, green all resin. Can you tell I love them. Use them everyday.
I've stared at that yellow one too I don't know how many times! They are such lovely hooks and they just glide with the yarn, really nice to use! I'm with ya!
What a lovely hook haul 💚💜💚 I have a few Furls and a couple Ommi hooks and they are absolutely beautiful, but I started using Prym plastic hooks and every time I use something different I go back to my Prym. I crochet so much faster with them, lol.
The aren’t overly impressive to look at, but I love working with them - they are in-line and feel very much like a Susan Bates, but I love the way most yarn slides on the plastic and I like the ergonomic handle, which is shaped like a Furls streamline, but a bit less chunky.
They have them at Michael’s and if you like them you can get sets on Amazon for a pretty decent price. The only downside is that they do not have a 5.5 or 6.5mm hook. Only 5, 6 and 7 mm.
I was gifted a Furls Cherry Streamline Resin hook I have not used it yet because I might break it. I always wanted to try out a Furls and Ommi crochet hooks. I have some Dollar Tree plastic and aluminum crochet hooks, Dollar General aluminum crochet hooks, all of the Boye crochet hooks except for the resin ergonomic crochet hooks, and some cheap ergonomic and aluminum crochet hooks.
The cherry hooks are so pretty! The small sizes feel very delicate I agree but as long as you don't crochet super tight, they work great! But I still use plain metal ones too, mostly because I discovered that resin doesn't play nice with certain fibers (cotton I'm looking at you). As long as they feel comfortable and work for your project, any hook is an awesome hook 😁
Lovely hooks, the half wood half resin is my fave I think :) I am an absolute Clover amour girl, they are my go to hooks, however I also love the the colour way Andromeda in furls and I have 3 of those and have ordered 2 more just because I love the colours they remind me of the sea and the beach with the blues and earthy tones 🏝🏖 PS Love the little spooky/cute ghost in your background haha is it amigurumi? I would love to make one haha
Furls is so tempting, like all the time 😂 I love their Sagittarius line too! More clovers as well are on my list, it really is such a nice go to kind of hook. And my little ghostie friend is a beanie boo! I think I got him from Joann lol
@@AmethystCraftworks yes Clovers are a safe go to quality hooks they never fail me with any type of yarn just a joy to work with. When I started crocheting I was using very cheap slim aluminum ones from Alieexpress lol and after just one project I would have pains in my wrist, I was lucky to stumble accros a clover amour review on youtube, and ordered one to try, honestly haven’t had any pains since ahah and it’s been around 3 years I have almost all the sizes in Clover 🧡😊 but the furls tempted me with their colors 😂😂 however I don’t think I will ever buy their more expensive ones, I only like their Andromeda colourway and still getting used to an inline hook after the Clovers I can’t use them with all types of yarns.
I would say with the Ommi brand at least, the difference is minimal. The wood hook is very slightly lighter weight than the resin of the same size. They're both light weight!
I think a clear coffee mug would display the hooks beautifully and have a handle for picking them up. Now I have someone order. 😂
Oh!! What a great idea! And I can't say no to a new mug either way lol
Wow! Gorgeous hooks! 😍 Love the purple 💜 thanks for sharing.
The purple is so pretty! Not gonna lie, I've been eyeing the purple in 5.5 too 😅
The hooks are gorgeous! I'm definitely going to try some!
Ooo I wonder what yours will look like 🤩

There's a reason why I only have one Furls, they are pricy! These are equally as nice and easier on the wallet for sure 😊
Oooh Prettiful! 💚
Very! I cannot resist 😂
I love and use all my Ommi and Divit Shilp and Furls hooks!
They're all so lovely! Furls makes so many pretty ones too.
@@AmethystCraftworks That they do

They feel so nice! I can crochet for way longer too with the resin hooks.
Samantha you really do make me laugh, that intro.
If your username is any indication, I am sure you are familiar with that cat treat sound too! 🤣
I want a whole set (4, 5, 5.5, 6 and 6.5) of those purple Ommi hooks. I have the rainbow glitter 4 and love it.

I'm not a huge fan of red white and blue together either, but!! I like the way you think!!

I’ve tried the divet shilph hooks and they are not bad but I prefer my Prym hooks 💜
Yes I remember you like Prym too! Next time I'm at a craft store, I'm going to grab one to try!

New here. Love those hooks!
Welcome!! They are so fun to open, it's always a surprise 😄
omg i love your energy !!! I just wanna be ur friend!
You already are! 🫂 Welcome!
I very never tried any other kind of crochet hook than the aluminum ones.
Dammit if I didn't already have enough hooks... 😅
Ahahaha I'm sorry (but not sorry, they're so pretty!) 😇
You and I have the same taste :)
High five! 🖐
It’s crazy how a 1.00$ hook and a 50.00$ hook can do the same exact thing … 😅
So true! The simple ones work just as well, but maybe not quite as fun to look at 😂
Are the resin hooks heavier than wood?
I would say with the Ommi brand at least, the difference is minimal. The wood hook is very slightly lighter weight than the resin of the same size. They're both light weight!
@@AmethystCraftworks I ordered the red white and blue hook

@@AmethystCraftworks I got my red white and blue hook. Wish I could insert a photo. Mine looks a bit different than yours. I love it.
