The rumors of such a successful rebel leader being still alive are very dangerous on their own. If slaves believe Bull Gorg to be alive and free they might rise up to try and join him wether he actually lives or not.
Exactly. A story of a long dead hero is just as dangerous as one who still lives. Suppression of his story is enforced silence so it wont perpetuate a repeat occurence. So by that logic, the Guilds have a very real fear of it happening again. Question then is, is it because he still lives, or because their own power grip is loosening? Its a self perpetuating cycle in any regard. Only real way to get direct, or rather indirect by process of elimination, answers would be to find out who of the Inquisition was on Necromunda at the time of Bull Gorg's uprising, capture and execution, and most importantly, when and how they left. If i was the Guilds, id send Half Horn to scoure the Underhive for evidence of Bull Gorg. One of two possibilities will then occur: Bull Gorg will kill Half Horn, who is most likely the only being who could. Bull Gorg is then proven to be alive. Or Half Horn will kill Bull Gorg, and the threat is permanently eliminated. This sounds stupid but it does present quite an opportunity to flush him out. Peopke will go looking for him. People leave trails. Trails can be followed.
Still, if he really was dead it would seem the accomplished fact he was dead could be used to crush the hopeful. See what happens to those that oppose us? Even Gorg was nothing but a pest to us! Raise our ire at your peril!
The fact that they do not crow about it more if he is dead or shush up the very real possibility that they failed to finish him is a sure sign something isn't right. Either he really is alive and they are afraid he is regaining strength...or they still lost so much in putting him down they hold their position by a thread and don't want people to know that.
Bull Gorg.. The only man alive that was doomed to never be able to scratch his own arse ever again..

@@40KTheories Your dates are right. Doom II came out in 1994, a year after the original Doom. Necromunda was first released in 1995.
If GW produces a figure for Bull Gorg, then we will know he's alive.
Not necessarily, since Captain Tycho of the Blood Angels continues to have a figure, and he's been dead in canon since 3rd edition

I like to believe that he’s still alive and he has some sort of help. Even with his immense strength and skill, he isn’t going to be able to wage that war without support. There’s probably someone or something making him even more powerful than he already was.
I mean, with his body and hands its probably hard to eat by himself.

Also, a question actually: How exactly does Necromunda deal with Chaos? Since I haven't seen anything about chaos attacking the planet or stiring around.
There was a cannibalistic Chaos Cult in one of the hives at one point during Necromunda's history (not the Corpse Grinders, but a different one) so in order to halt their rampage, the planetary governor simply had that particular hive sealed off for about 200 years, so that everyone within it would simply starve to death, ending the threat.

Considering the symbolic significance that Bull Gorg would have among the slaves, I can see why mention of his name would be suppressed even after his death.
I could even imagine a “Spartacus”-style scenario panning out among rowdy slaves:
Slave 1: “Did you hear about Bull Gorg? I heard he’s still freeing slaves, and is amassing a new army!”
Guilder: “Silence! Bull Gorg is dead! And his memory shall die with him!”
Slave 2 charges in thru the wall: “I am Bull Gorg! The time of your reckoning has come, Guilder!”
Slave 3 snaps a guard’s neck on the other side of the building: “I am Bull Gorg!”
Echoes from across the hive walls: “I am Bull Gorg!” “I am Bull Gorg!” “Bull Gorg lives!” “I am Bull Gorg!”

I have a dumb theory idea that may interest you. Do you think that adhumans can be turned into space marines? If we disregarded the Inquisition, the rest of the church of Man and two-thirds of the genetors, we could theoretically implant a gene-seed into a Navigator or an Afrei Strain (which are basically proto-primaris).
I believe that some Primarch gene-seeds may turned their mutations up to eleven (a Navis with Magnus gene seed would be terrifying). However the new Primaris gene-seed is far more stable, and may allow this type of new marines.
For exemple, Ratling space marines could enter smaller spaces that the average size marine couldn't ; Ratlings are also more people person than the average human and could help with the more "community managing" aspect of the marines. A Navis Marine could be both a help political against the powerful Navis Nobility (making Navis more socially accepted and more invested in the wellbeing of the populations), and with the fight against Chaos. As an aside, Ogryns marine would be silly and Nightsiders in raven guard armor would be dope.
Is this all a ploy to try to push for felinid marines and finally have proper felinid minis and make a catboy army? Yes. Yes, it is.

Whether the guilds actually executed Bull Gorg or not is irrelevant, he's a symbol of freedom now, a story that slaves on Necromunda will whisper to eachother when their masters are out of ear shot. If the guilds don't crack down on the rumors they run the risk of their slaves revolting. Whether Bull Gorg is alive or not, he showed the slaves of Necromunda that freedom CAN be obtained, if that freedom was temporary and bought at great cost doesnt matter, revolutionaries will always believe that their revolution will be better than the last.
Everyone is asking how he eats when you should be asking the real question...

Don't really agree with your take on them only killing to suppress his survival. It makes total sense for them to punish all hearsay of his survival with death in order to avoid inspiring another potential uprising. There are numerous examples of this in the real world.
