This guy would like to have had my childhood. I didn't live far from this depot when I was very young. My grandmother's back yard backed to Depot Street not far from where the depot is located. I remember sleeping at her house watching the steam engines going back and forth from the bedroom window. I could hear their haunting, beautiful whistles as they neared a crossing a ways away. I remember being at that depot saying goodbye to my uncle as he was leaving for the Korean War and my mother would take the train to shop in Cleveland before Christmas. When they were switching over from steam to diesel they parked numerous steam engines on the side tracks and we used to climb all over the engines. It was great. I've been to the restaurant and like it very much.
Glad they gave you permission to film the depot and the food is freaky amazing. And you gave me an idea for a Christmas video .what a send sendoff toward the end. Have a good one wallie
Glad you enjoyed. I absolutely love Berea. I'm dying to get out to Fostoria and Deshler too. But this place is just as amazing. I love that CSX and Canadian Pacific come rocketing by. And if I lived in/near Cleveland and Berea, the Berea Depot would be my hang out. That place you'd catch me after work enjoying a cold beer, or going for lunch on Friday, or taking Kayla out to a nice dinner. Can't say enough good things about them.
@@WallieB26 you would love Fostoria and dreshler. Berea Definitely has a hold on me as well. Hit me up when you are ever in this area again. Can Show you the other spots I go too as well
Thank you Wallie & Kayla for taking us along on your travels. Food looks delicious. Would love to visit The Berea Depot, love mom & pop restaurants. Safe travels.
If you visit the restaurant do it during NFL training camp, the Browns training facility and main offices are within walking distance of the restaurant.
I love half a mile from this and I always see people filming it and take pics. Never understood why lol. I'm not a train person this just happened to get suggested to me haha
I live 2 minutes away from there I've never been thr. . But I can tell you there's a place in downtown Berea rite down the street. . . Mike's Bar and Grill. . They have amazing food.
In Kansas there's an old railroad depot that's now a antique mall, it's way out in the fields of Topeka Kansas. I'm from Louisville Kentucky, but visit Kansas in the 1990s I think 1994.the place your at looks neat, love it.😎👍👍🚂

I’m just wondering if it’s friendly to mobility-challenged patrons? I don’t need a wheelchair ramp, and am able to go up & down a couple of steps with assistance, but you mentioned that the bathroom was up a spiral staircase, and there’s no way I could manage that. Are there restrooms on the main floor too?
Yeah, it is handicap friendly. When I was there doing my video, their restrooms downstairs were having issues at that time and, as a result, people had to use the ones upstairs.
Eww yuck Heineeeekin that's right hiNickin says it all ow man I drank that one time I about threw up on that taste I'm a Cornia and Coors I like miller's too kinda guy but yah I like me some mixed drinks to baby I'll take the Reds apple ale too..

That place closed up its for sale now
Great idea buy new land out there or renting out there a apartment
I ate a steak there ( attempted to eat) about 3 months ago. It's not what it used to be.
I'm from the area and they are permanently closed and selling the property. I hope the don't demolish anything.
First
It’s closed since fall of 2023 so don’t go there.
That is very sad. Which month in the Fall of 2023 did the Berea Union Depot closed for good?
