All about working with cloud and earth and wheel and wall planes and keeping you mind on the dart/hammer at all times. But your eye on the opponent. Try to keep your movement fluid and continuous. Keep the line straight as you spear and retract as the length of the line is reached. Remember to move out of its way.
@@emilbecker8970 just figured out how to launch my training hammer with kicks and do that sweet neck transition i feel like a mortal combat character lol its crazy how fast it is to learn
The way he manages to make so many loops around his body, building up the speed of the hammer in shorter swings and then manages to fire it out to its full length without any of the loops getting caught or tangling. It's genius
Even at 1/4 speed his movements are STILL hard to follow. His technique is flawless, and his passion and devotion to his training is evident in his mastery.
I came here because I read the term meteor hammer in The Rise of Kyoshi and I have never been more impressed by a real life fire bending meteor hammer master. Thank you sifu
I have never seen the reverse back double Elbow Butterfly Rope Holding Technique Performed So well.....In the middle of this performance.....Ropes Ppl. Pls. Take note... I always wondered after reading Romance of the Three Kingdoms if that weapon could actually be real since a lot in that is exaggerated. This is amazing.
Probably so, but look at Castlevania at the least Season 2, the way Trevor uses the Morning Star is EXTREMELY reminiscent of Meteor Hammer fighting, so it's been done in animation and looks REALLY good, too.
Look for the "Shaolin Kungfu " YT channel and their video "Shaolin meteor hammer" . Its 40min of monks doing just that, breaking down every move with lots of explanation.
@@sal_vulcano_maybe6873 welcome to the club buddy! Meteor hammer and rope dart are amazing. If you want join the rest of us over at Rope Dart Tech over on Facebook it's pretty much the place on the internet for rope dart/ meteor hammer. Many post everyday with tutorials, questions, answers, demonstrations, showing off new skills, all kinds of stuff. It doesn't take too long to run out of UA-cam rope dart and meteor hammer tutorials. I've learned a lot there.
I've watched quite a number of Rope-Dart and meteor hammer videos recently, trying to understand the weapon and the fighting method of it. This is the first one that I've thought, "now this guy can kick some ass with that thing." Like it's his pet snake and he's just willing it to strike.
Sh*t that's some serieus skill. The weapon which I have the best skill with is the sanjiegun, but I won't approch that level yet even though I have perfect controlle and can bassicly do most if not all technieks I have seen and what I came up with myself, but your level is just crazy.
Shields are always good, but unless you can guard perfectly against every strike, soft weapons will wrap around the shield and hit you anyway. Really, you're just better off trying to break it, or wearing heavy armor.
Came here wondering how it was even possible to use this weapon, left feeling extremely impressed.
It seems strange at first but the ways you can use the centrifugal force really adds a lot.
I practice with a rope dart and once you get the basic spins it all snaps in place and becomes relatively easy to handle
Watch gogo yubari

I came here because of Kill Bill, I never thought this weapon would be used in a more graceful light than violent.
Ah, and that is why it is called martial arts. It is an art of death.

When you're using weapons in terraria :
Admirable control of momentum!
Don't forget some of that angular velocity and centrifugal forces!

Woah, it's interesting to see how he coils it around the body and then pulls it off in a way that builds momentum
wow now THIS is what i true master looks like in comparison to literally everyone else on youtube. hes so accurate and precise.
DAAAAMN, LOOK AT THE SPEED!
Oh my heck, that's stinking majestic!
It looks so beautiful from afar, not realizing how deadly it would be to be in his vicinity!
Ive seen some meteor use on here before but holy this guy is insane. incredible skill and looks beautiful.
Master! The style of the Dragon...
I always wondered after reading Romance of the Three Kingdoms if that weapon could actually be real since a lot in that is exaggerated. This is amazing.
The weapon was real, but it could never be used in organized battle for fairly obvious reasons.
Insane to me that anyone can be this coordinated. I trip over my own feet. So impressive!
best on youtube right there folks.
excellent crisp form.
much respect liu lianJun
Incredible display!
Is that Gogo's father. Seriously though, what an amazing weapon. Lvl 10 difficulty
Martial arts are beautiful.
"The morning star whip, well played belmont"
Morning Star from Castlevania
So good looks unreal
This is so beautiful
It's gonna be a pain to animate it tho XD

beautiful guzheng, also i think that the meteor hammer would work well with piguazhang because both are swinging form
i love his speed
Trying to fight that must be a real headache....
This is how people who are really good with a yo-yo see themselves.
Beautifully done, Master Liu
Thats so elegant!
Seems like Trevor was sent to train with the monks in China
MASTAH!!!!
I came here after watching Everything Everywhere All at Once. There was a fannypack scene where he used it like this
damn, this shinobi buff is looking good
This is how I imagine I look when I yoyo

Wow!
Him vs Gogo from Kill bill who would win?

Of course the otaku chic! She only died because of Beatrix's luck on finding nailed wood.
I think he would gogo ha only one strong thing which
is the blade

Wait. I'm instantly reminded of the fanypack fight scene in "everything everywhere all at once"
Is this what that was based on?
Amazing!
Swinging the chain..swinging the chain...
so basically a ballistic yoyo
It’s like a yo-yo that comes with a free fracture on the face if not used properly
I am here because I remember Old Master Q fighting the black guy in the Water Margin movie.
Ah,... miss spinning the ol' hammer/rope dart
I want this to be a Monster Hunter weapon so bad
Its like utilizing the power to end opponent's rightly.
Lol ......
AWESOME!!! :o

wow!
Someday...
How does he make it fly so straight and so far with seemingly so little effort?
keeping momentum
wow he is the master
It reminds me of kung fu hustle
This probably takes decades to master but a bow can beat the meteor hammer
I'm seriously questioning about the thought process in these weapons and their tendency to the user.
Holy...
nice
No doubt this wold be devastating when hit but you get one chance. if you miss it's done

I've larned how to control a ball on a rope, but the dart feels almost impossible
But what about... you know... if the enemy had any sort of shield?

One of the most visually impressive and wildly impractical weapons ever developed. Right up there with tactical nuclear artillery.
fuckin sick

Never hit the fuckin ground!
I wonder how many times he hit himself in the face.
