    Incredible! His movements reflect a multiple attacker scenario, and how he switches from lightning-fast, to super-slow is un-real. This is a man who is an Artist, with killing grace! I added this to playlist "Fighting Exercises."

    His hands, feet, head, torso, flow in a totally natural way. Each time he punches, he feels the strength of his whole body in a fist.

    absolutely perfect, the shaking jin in this video shown in the beginning is the sign of a true master , the explosive power in tai chi cultivation is the secret behind the internal forms , youre seeing the practice and cultivation, but if you ever see it unleashed in its full power and speed , its scary.

    This is what I was looking for!

    his movement like stretching silk, iron wires, soft, slow, but can be fast and powerful whenever he feel like to attack. Especially his full body movement is very harmonious with his hands.

    @SkyeAten According to their wewbsite, it is Zhang style. This is apparently a mixture of taijiquan, Bagua, Xingyi, Shaolin, ans sandra.
    It looks nice, but i would wonder if it adheres to Taiji preinciples.

  • @KeithOng

    seems to have too much bodily movements for his tai chi. Donno which style was that too. Looks like chen style. Not sure if his tai chi is from dan tian or just shaking his body (which is wasting energy). I use master Feng Ziqian or Chen XianWang as the benchmark.

      Bob Jones What makes you say that? I've been hearing a lost of people say that these demonstrations are fake and I don't understand why. Are you a master yourself or something along that area?

    • @LeriObba
      @LeriObba 9 років тому +2

      Fresh Appleseed I'll give you one easy way to differentiate a Wushu form from a real Kung Fu form: pay attention to the footwork first. If the form looks like all the "cool moves" happen while the stance work is facing one way then it probably is a Wushu form, it was designed from the start to be viewed by an audience from one direction and mostly for show and competition. There's also something to be said if you either practice the actual style or see it done a lot where you can see where the applications have been completely removed or modified to be useless in self defense. If you don't understand why it's because you don't practice it or know the history, if you do practice it be warned that whoever is teaching you is either un-aware that you don't know of this issue or is aware and keeping you ignorant on purpose.

If you see something wrong or not authentic, just point it out and do the correction in your own video. Quit hating on other people!

    Yang was standardized in the late 50s, and it's original teacher, Yang Luchan, studied Chen Taiji under Chen Changxing, who is in the direct lineage of the famed modern interpreter of Chen, Chen Fa Ke. That said, train with any of these guys, relax, deepen your stance, and it's all good.

    It would be interesting to know how the creator of Taichi came up with the movements for it. Also Taichi is a much more fluid style vs Bagua which is more running around in circle and then Xingyi is more of a forceful quick attack with Taichi combined.

    Remember kids this kitten is good enough to have what could have jet li's job. In fact if Jet had not become so famous he would be the happy kitten dean at that same school. Oh wait the same damn school that teaches the chinese olympic team. oh it's not real? Do you know what bau gua looks like on the west coast of the US? Not like we are masters - we got visited by masters. But from Vancouver to CA that is what ba gua looks like here. Honestly I see a much stronger influence of xing yi from the east coast. I like the xing yi influence in the east coast (add some ba fa while you are at it) - way more aggro and scary. Or then there are the flavors of ba gua you find in europe. All are good ... but, what really matters is the person behind the motions. My stance is better than your stance means nothing if you are down on the ground. Nothing. This guy doesn't mess around ... he is so bad ass he can effectively add flourishes to his stance. Look at how his body is balanced. Notice how getting hit by him would be a lot like losing an argument with a brick. Now walk the circle. Walk the circle. Walk the circle!

    • @highmajorus
      @highmajorus 7 років тому

      his ba gua is good - even if he holds a "tight" circle (is that bad?) - gonna use you mead advice (epic)!

    Wushu translates to martial art in a literal sense, but in the kung fu/ Chinese community, it is commonly referred to modern wushu and competition routines that are in no way real kung fu or real tai chi.

    We learn tai chi at our school, since im a second degree black belt i could recieve this if i asked but i prefer Pa-kua as my fighting style, tai-chi is a very smooth nice flowing peace of art, i love it, i learn it, but overall id choose Pa-kua(not disrespecting tai-chi in any form)

    The stances for Chen rely on diff 'rules' then Yang. I love yang and its derivatives, and I also love chen. They are diff. Chen is usually credited as being closer to the source of what is actually Taiji. What is was originally, we may never know. We can barely go back to ChenFaKe, who was promoting his take on Chen in the 1930s.

    chen style tai chi is the originator. Never heard of wudang as the originator. Chen style is difficult to learn and master with lots of silk reeling jing. this differentiates itself from the other styles of Yang, Wu, Wuu, Sun, which also has their roots in Chen style tai chi.

    Chen Xiao Wang is a master, but the 'Chen' name gets a bit over recognized. I would def put this guy over Chen Xiao Wang, Chen Zheng Lei, and as good as Chen Yu. However, when you combine his TaiJi, Xing Yi and Bagua, he is amongst the absolute best, relaxed, coiling, differentiated speed, internal connection. Amazing!!!
