    The 2021 Gas Gas motocross and offroad line up is the latest addition to be attached under the KTM umbrella of motorcycle manufacturing. GAS GAS will be offering a host of new motorcycles for the 2021 model year including electric, off-road, trials, and motocross. Some of you may be asking yourselves what the differences are between the brands and is this just a red KTM? We're here to clear up the air a bit and give you some details on what gives the Gas Gas its own identity as well as similarities that cross over from Husqvarna and KTM. Motocross Action Magazine will be testing the all new Gas Gas motocross models mid December at Glen Helen Raceway. Immediately after testing we'll be able to give you a more in depth look at their bikes and how they perform on track. We hope you enjoy this informative video and it further helps you in making a conscious decision before spending your money on a new bike.

    Yeah, people are not getting that KTM/Husky/Gas Gas are really helping to keep dirt bikes, SX , MX, and off-road racing alive. Our sport has really been suffering, with teams going away, deserved riders not getting rides, etc. I truly hope Suzuki doesn't totally go away from SX/MX... with half a dozen tweaks, they would be back in it. From a regular consumer point of view, more choices equals more competition and hopefully overall better prices and service.

    A few corrections-
    KTM and GasGas triple clamps are forged. KTM special edition models are billet. All Husqvarna triple clamps are billet.
    KTM has Brembo brakes/hydraulics. Husqvarna brakes/hydrulics are Magura. GasGas brakes/hydraulics are Braktec.
    GasGas will have less components and less bling and will be made in Spain where labor costs are said to be less as well.

    It’s crazy how expensive dirt bikes are now. I was born in 1984 and when I was around 14 a brand new 250 was under 5k, the dealerships would have used bikes for nothing I remember a 6 year old yz 250 was 1100 bucks it wasn’t brand new but it wasn’t shot you could tell it was trail driven from the scratches on the plastics. Back in 2005 I sold a 1996 rm 250 that was in like new condition it had many thousands in new parts all top of the line stuff, built motor by a very reputable guy from my area known for doing the best port work but even then they were only going for 1500-2000 max.

    *KTM* is actually developing 2 strokes unlike the other 'big 4' defunct aluminum framed 'nascar' clone bikes.

      Big difference between producing and developing. KTM is actually still spending money on R&D for their 2 strokes. The YZ’s are awesome no doubt but Yamaha could do better. The YZ’s have basically been the same since 06 when they switched to an aluminum frame. Since then they’ve only updated little things like Ti foot pegs, tires, & plastics/graphics. Engine & chassis have been the same for about a decade and a half and the bikes sell for around $8k?!

    At about time 3:20 "Map Switch" ? What is a map switch ? What does it do ? I've never heard of this before . Please explain .

    • @Belt372
      @Belt372 2 роки тому +1

      Pretty much every new bike has a map switch meaning you can change to different fuel mapping with that switch

    • @harrypeterson9287
      @harrypeterson9287 Рік тому +1

      It's basically just a way to tune your engine to make more or less power by changing fuel mapping and ignition timing. Pretty useless since almost everyone I know just runs the most powerful map.

    For a saving of 800$ Ill take a ktm with the billet triples and the black branded rims, mapping switch and header pipe. They cut production costs, but for the consumer only 800$ saving. No thanks

      Chinese wheels is a real bummer on Gas Gas. Could as well put Excel rims on it. Don’t see myself buying a new bike for 8 grand on Chinese wheels.

    Ok here is one. What is the difference between a factory Ktm, Gg and husky.
    Looking at pro enduro they have the same engine, same frame, same linkage, same cone valves, same exhausts etc.
    Its sad to see 3 teams hang out together testing under the one wp van as team competition is dead.

    Definitely seems like it would be worth it especially if you like KTM/husky but don’t need all of the bullshit bells and whistles that aren’t necessary for regular riding. Love my yz125 and yz250 two stroke but would definitely consider an mc125 if I just had the money sitting

    So basically, the works-riders will add all of the parts that the gas gas is missing, making it a regular KTM and creating more work for the mechanics...

    I don’t get it. What was KTM’s incentive to buy GG? They must be rolling in money. Gas Gas was a good bike, had some flaws but a great motor. The actual GG is now Rieju. They took over the GG patent. Good for them. To me this is another reason to not ride Orange, White or Gg now. Just my opinion
