Look, even Charlie would probably agree this hasn't been his greatest season...but he has still kicked 41.28 for the year. There isn't a team in the comp who wouldn't jump at that return from their main small forward if it was offered to them at the start of the year. Guess it just goes to show how good Charlie is when he can have a season most small forwards in the league can't match, and it is still a down year for him.
@@ungabunga88 Dangerfield has kicked more bags of 5 than most forwards have, one on one he could easily take half of the current key defenders in the game today, in his prime probably all of them, Horne Francis bops up for the occasional goal due to a lack of representation in Port’s forward line
What happened to. Charlie Cameron? Have a slomo look at the holding he cops every single week…teams put a big defender on him and just hold him like it was a ruck contest…it’s disgusting
Jordan Sweet didn't get the credit he deserved last week. Everyone was talking about Meek's form all week, he monstered English and had the most hits out he's had all season and was very effective with his possessions. One of the reasons Port dominated the Hawks at clearances particularly in the first half, is because Sweet got on top of Meek with his tap work, he was super physical and that chase was outstanding. He won the hit outs 50 to 30 or something similar and there were very few occasions the Hawks were able to get clean clearances. It allowed Port's better midfielders to strut their stuff whereas the week before Meek's dominance made Hawthorn's midfielders look far superior than the Dogs, which they are not. He'll be a really important cog to make sure the Swans elite midfielders don't get free run at it.
Johnson is right, North have been going after established players for years, but few players want to go there for some reason. North cant even hang on to their draft picks like Jason Horne Francis or their father/sons like Blakey. Jack Darling is willing to go and North need more big bodied established players. Its only a 2 year contract, not a huge loss if it doesnt work.
I get the point they are trying to make about Charlie Dixon but he had Aaron Francis on him last time. This week he getting a Meclian or McCartin hell i would trust Rampe to shut him down too. But big difference between those 3 and Francis
Remember there was criticism of West Coast drafting Drew Petrie from North in his latter years. He was very serviceable to West Coast. Very similar to Darling trade. Darling is only 32. Has a couple of years left and he is a premiership player. Reinjected with a fresh environment, no doubt will reinvigorate him. I say its a good move for all parties.
I read he had the most F50 tackles at West Coast this year and he competes and is a good shot for goal. I don't think North can keep doing these types of trades long term, most of the mature age recruits and recycled players they've brought in haven't worked out, but Darling has valuable experience and the Roos' need to get some support for Larkey...seems like a low risk trade with upside.
North got an old Jarrad Waite and was serviceable for a couple of years. I think he took a backseat to Watermen and Allen this year and helped them build their own game. So much talk about a trade worth a packet of chips
Darling is good value for his professionalism and dedication to fitness off-field and his availability yo play most weeks. He plays most games and may not mark and goal like he used to but he competes hard and gives the crumbers a good look.
I haven't read the Robbo article yet, but am i wrong in having heard it summarised in this way? Jake Stringer is now, essentially on a list because of his "associates" and these associates frequented games and are of the same faith as Jake? Am i missing a piece of the puzzle? Doesnt seem to be a reason the AFL would endorse. Maybe another faith? Yes. But not the one in question? Surely.
Jack Darling would of been the first West Australian born player to play 300 games for West Coast, spewing I like Jack his gonna be ok I think his gonna be good for North
P.s. Matt Kennedy should not have played on Good Friday. He permitted his baptism and developing friendship with Christ to be used by the meeja in a story that was a thinly veiled cynical ploy to justify their anti-Christian corporate greed that is football games on that solemn day.

Kane should not be dissappointed that Petracca is not at Melbourne's best and fairest. Emotions can blur people's minds if you don't believe it just have a look at the video of Ken Hinkley doing the aeroplane dance.. Kane very selective with his dissappointments yet again lol
re: 5:00 - the "sugar hit" effect is quite real for some. Stevie J in 2016 is a really good example of that - like the bloke who's freshly single, so he started going to the gym, eating right, getting up early, got a new haircut and a wardrobe refresh...

My favourite stat is Goals and Points kicked versus the opposition Goals and Points kicked
haha perfect comment mate
I hope the afl schedules north v wce in round 2 so darling can get the respect he deserves
No preview for Cats v Lions?
theyll do that friday morning id assume
They don't want to admit Cats are doing OK. 😜
apparently not which makes the title confusing
"Horne Francis is a better forward than Dangerfield" ☠️ Dangerfield's kicked over 300 goals, put your bias aside
How many games has Horne Francis played again? He’s a 60/40 Mid forward Dangerfield is not, Horne Francis is Cleary a better forward
This might be the dumbest comment I’ve seen

Wasn't Papley out when they last played Port? I think he changes the whole team for sure
112 point difference?
Yep, papley, McInerney, rampe all out and we played ladhams for some strange reason. Definitely not representative of a full strength Sydney

Charlie Dixon needs a powerful performance. If he doesn't crash packs and lay tackles he can barely run right now to get near it.
My prediction swans will get free kicks in front of goal and port in the middle and back half!!!

The article kind of went both ways. But the mention of his faith surely wasn't a coincidence.
Im just not sure how it ( his faith) factors in the story, at this point.?
