The point of the long contracts from a club perspective is to help with financial management, and to ensure that if a player wants to leave they get good value for them. If it goes wrong then they work through that but it's a risk assessment. Why does it bother Cornes so much?

He was shithouse in that final he played this year. He was fit enough to play and still wasn’t picked for granny, says it all really.
Peter Wright has one good season and gets a 4 year extension. Hasn’t played a decent game since.
