Dylan’s 2019 season is an all time great season for a defender in my opinion. For Rance to go down in round 1, Dylan completely took over that defence as its leader, shutting down both key forwards and small forwards every single week.
Great point. Totally underrated by the wider footballing community.
This is a great interview. Good luck, Dylan
Great Richmond man. Always be fondly remembered ❤
Great interview. A champion of the club, thank you for all you have done for the tigers. Go well
15:38 "Deep gratitude and I feel like I'm still heavily indebted to the club for the opportunity they gave me when every other club said no. That's the reason why I never considered leaving"
Says it all, really.
Gonna miss you Dyl.
Good on ya Grimesy, a champion of the club and a champion bloke. Some great insights into your football journey which I admired as a Tiger supporter. Best of luck with life after footy. Another great interview, thanks Andy Maher.
Great story grimesy your a great person and player thanks for the memories. Enjoy your new journey 😊
What a great interview. He’s a very stable, honest and passionate. I remember in his early games (like 5th or something) he went up against Buddy due to the other backs being out of the team and not doing too bad. I then found out he was one of the few kids to be drafted as an actual Defender. Told my family he was going to be a champion but all the injuries kicked in and no one believed me for years
Geez Radar’s gone up in my estimation. A brilliant, HONEST, interview with a humble champ of the Richmond Football Club.
great chat..down to earth and a richmond champion
What a champion, Optimus Grimes is a tiger legend. Would be great to see him release a book or something one day (Cotch, Jack, Pickett, Houli and I'm sure Dusty in time) - Dylan has great insights and speaks well.
How good was that?
An example of a man who got away unscathed with a lot of others wanting to desperately drag him back down under to pay more of a toll 😂
