I feel Taylor was genuinely very upset as he was looking forward to a nurburgring trip with his mates after the long slug of getting stuff done to his car.
It's got the feel of the original old Top Gear episodes, before it was so obviously scripted (like the cheap supercar episode where Clarksons Maserati exploded). It's such a joy to watch real car guys doing real car shit with cars that people can actually afford.
I didn't mind Top Gear with MLB and Chris Harris, but I can't stand the Paddy/Freddie roadshow. Can you imagine Top Gear with these three? It would be epic!!!
Must admit, it does sound like it would make a great video. But if they all bought Alfa's it would end being a challenge video of them trying to keep them running long enough to get to the nearest ferry port. I doubt they'd even get to France let alone Italy.😆

As a mini fan and owner myself, seeing Taylors love that car is exactly the reason why we drive them. Reliability is very questionable but they still make you smile! No doubt, Taylor will get it fixed and running again! It’s clear that Alex has always wanted that trio dynamic and since gaining his own channel he has created his perfect trifecta! Definitely love Rory’s Beemer. Obviously Alex is the OG comedic. Only joking here’s keeping my fingers crossed he gets it sorted but an R53 with a busy engine still has more street cred than the other two!!!!!!

I’m 21 just got myself a 2019 cooper S and watching Taylor’s over the last few videos was the main inspiration. It is turbo charged rather than supercharged but I’ll tell you its the thing I’ve ever done. It’s so god damn fun to drive, looks the part and I just love the way it feels.

I think the reason people prefer this over the new top gear is because it’s not trying way to hard to be the same as Clarkson, Hammond and May top gear, it’s doing the same stuff as the old top gear but in its own, different, way

I will never understand this love of Alfas....they are....well....for the money you spend on getting one, you can get a better more reliable car and looks are very much a case of beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Take the Alfa badge off most of them and you could be looking at anything....

Most of them that I have seen look like a variation on a Vauxhall Astra! Then there are the older classic ones. All expensive, all with massive faults and all unreliable and with such a reputation that most people avoid them. Go back in the mists of time, there must have been a reason why people think they are great. But I missed it. An Alfa is the very definition in real life, of that moral / fable tale of the Emperors New Clothes.....

@@RollinRoadsUK my only advice is look after it, don’t expect it to be like a Ford or Vauxhall that you can skip servicing, treat it well and it should treat you well, find yourself a good independent Alfa specialist. They were rare when I had mine I can only imagine how rare they are now. Mine was grey with 3litre Busso, cream Momo leather, full bespoke stainless exhaust and I imported some teledial alloys that were an option with the zender body kit, fantastic car, I’d have another in a heartbeat if the opportunity presented itself.
Sounds beautiful! I was literally underneath mine yesterday on a ramp and checking over for any signs of rot or leaking! Found my transmission was a little over filled too so il be double checking everything now! The seats are some of the best I've ever sat in! Mine are the black MOMO and they really do feel special. I feel very lucky to own such a car and plan to keep it for many many years to come 👍
When things go wrong for real it shows how obvious the "fake" problems are, because THAT was a genuinely grumpy Taylor and we delight in his suffering!
I actually felt genuinely bad for him because it was clearly not scripted. If it was me bringing my R53 to the Ring and it blew up a few minutes away I'd be devastated.

Great video guys and am fully captivated to see the outcome. I know how Taylor feels as well. In 2019 my Clio broke down in Belgium on the way to the Ring. An amazing friend who was already in Nurburg drove 6 hours with his van and trailer to come and collect us. The Clio barely fit on his trailer and an hour back up the road in to Germany his van broke down. We waited another 6 hours for a tow truck that could tow his van and trailer. When we finally made it to Nurburg a local garage inspected the engine and diagnosed it as 'Kaput'. In the end I sold the car the next day as a non-runner to a dutch race team who turned it in to a race car. Here's hoping you guys get the Mini fixed!
Serves him right, the car isn't road legal as the number plates are incorrectly spaced, he need to look at his V5c to see what it should look like I.e T4 YHP & get some correct ones made
So if the recovery fee back to the UK is £1450 but the seats are worth according to Taylor £2500 it's a no brainer because he said the cars he bought for the parts he sold 1 for more than he bought it for and 1 for £200 less than what he bought it for so he would be atleast £1050 profit if he sold the interior plus all the other parts that he put on the car if he sold them he would be well in profit.

@@Simon-xc5oy they are the most amazing cars for about 15 mins and that is just part of them haha. your not wrong there lots of car that are more reliable but they are not Alfas.
@@lcw2007 Very good. But why is this the case? What makes an Alfa? In that it makes grown men start drooling about how amazing they are. Most of them that I have seen look like a variation on a Vauxhall Astra! Then there are the older classic ones. All expensive, all with massive faults and all unreliable and with such a reputation that most people avoid them. Go back in the mists of time, there must have been a reason why people think they are great. But I missed it. An Alfa is the very definition in real life, of that moral / fable tale of the Emperors New Clothes.....
You never spend that much money modding a BMW. It’ll go sideways faster than you expect. Thankfully the other 2 could complete the journey without any incidents. 😉👍🏻

I felt so sorry for Taylor! We all know what it's like to have a car die on us, we try not to get emotionally attached but it happens anyway. Really excited to see the next episode!

@@Jabber-ig3iw I have fallen completely in love with mine! I never really wanted the 166 for looks but I was desperate for the BUSSO engine. Now I have the car I am completely smitten by its looks! Fabulous looking car and driving it is heaven! They are getting rare now but I think the odd bargain may still be out there? 👍
@@RollinRoadsUK my only advice is look after it, don’t expect it to be like a Ford or Vauxhall that you can skip servicing, treat it well and it should treat you well, find yourself a good independent Alfa specialist.
They were rare when I had mine I can only imagine how rare they are now. Mine was grey with 3litre Busso, cream Momo leather, full bespoke stainless exhaust and I imported some teledial alloys that were an option with the zender body kit, fantastic car, I’d have another in a heartbeat if the opportunity presented itself.
Sounds beautiful! I was literally underneath mine yesterday on a ramp and checking over for any signs of rot or leaking! Found my transmission was a little over filled too so il be double checking everything now! The seats are some of the best I've ever sat in! Mine are the black MOMO and they really do feel special. I feel very lucky to own such a car and plan to keep it for many many years to come 👍

I know how Taylor feels as well. In 2019 my Clio broke down in Belgium on the way to the Ring. An amazing friend who was already in Nurburg drove 6 hours with his van and trailer to come and collect us. The Clio barely fit on his trailer and an hour back up the road in to Germany his van broke down. We waited another 6 hours for a tow truck that could tow his van and trailer. When we finally made it to Nurburg a local garage inspected the engine and diagnosed it as 'Kaput'. In the end I sold the car the next day as a non-runner to a dutch race team who turned it in to a race car. Here's hoping you guys get the Mini fixed!
Serves him right, the car isn't road legal as the number plates are incorrectly spaced, he need to look at his V5c to see what it should look like I.e T4 YHP & get some correct ones made

So if the recovery fee back to the UK is £1450 but the seats are worth according to Taylor £2500 it's a no brainer because he said the cars he bought for the parts he sold 1 for more than he bought it for and 1 for £200 less than what he bought it for so he would be atleast £1050 profit if he sold the interior plus all the other parts that he put on the car if he sold them he would be well in profit.
