Why I love the Tundra over the competition; reliable 5.7l V8 with no cylinder deactivation nonsense, reliable six speed transmission, 4.30 rear end from the factory, none of that 3.73, 3.55, or 3.31 from the completion, and no use of aluminum body panels. 💪🏽
@@MeynMotorGroup Those 07-21 tundras with the 5.7L iforce v8s. Have aftermarket support. custom tires, lift kits, lowering kits, exhaust, you name it. That's my favorite body style tundra & I'm planning on getting one.
If I wanted a DVD screen in the engine compartment, bluetooth to my trailer hitch, and heated tailgate - I would have purchased a Ford. I want a rugged, reliable, safe piece of transportation that gets me around and gets the hard work done every time. ToYoTa
Hey my friend thanks so much so yea I absolutely love driving the Tundra even amongst the new Trucks I think the changes Toyota made over the years really made it a nice refined driving experience
Im in my second Tundra , I have a 2021 TRD off-road double cab , this truck is all about laid back power and totally reliable, just relax and pull your trailer, your Tundra will crank everyday and comfortable get the job done , its ridiculously solid, speaking after 330000 miles
Bravo on the review. I have driven ram 1500, f-150 in 5.0 and 3.6 twin turbo, f-250, and Nissan Titan. There is nothing to me that replaces the sound and feel of a true V8. While people complain about the tundra being antiquated, I love the practicality and utility. Simplicity is so refreshing in my opinion. The round, adjustable AC vents, the huge knobs that you can just turn instead of tapping a touch screen to adjust AC temp and level. I love it. I just didn’t feel like I was in a true V8 while driving the Ram because of the auto shutoff while stopped at traffic lights. I don’t want a Tesla touchscreen. I actually wish other manufacturers would take a cue from Toyota, and hope that Toyota continues to offer more utilitarian options like this and the Sequoia. If it ain’t broke..
Thank you my friend! Yea I def dont mind the other trucks but yes Tundra has that solid old school feel mixed with all the new school refinement and proper drivetrain tuning really enjoyed driving this new Tundra for a week
I just bought a ‘21 1794 after the release of the ‘22. I wasn’t impressed with the new front end and laptop look mounted in the dash. The V6 has impressive number yet I’m not crazy about owning the first of its lineup. I’m happy with my choice knowing I have a solid V8 under the hood!
I'm so impressed with this review. It's the best out there. I've been watching so many review as I'm getting closer to purchasing a Tundra and this is by far the best.
Had a 2019 f150. Used oil, transmission shifted strangely sometimes. Sometimes when I would crank it up, it would jerk like the drive shaft tried to move. Being a 5.0, of course it had the type writer tick. Traded for a 2021 tundra limited. No issues so far!
"You're getting a studio apartment back there" lawls. Thanks for the review man! Already set to grab one, and I appreciate someone who is able to get through an entire review without bashing a great vehicle.
Thanks for the perspective. I've o ly owned one pickup my whole life, and lack the diversity in driving experiences you have. I'm trying to be open-minded in what I buy to replace the now 20 year old f150, and this video has done a better job at selling me the tundra than nearly every other. Thank you.
Glad the vid helped my friend! Although you're not going wrong with any of the trucks but what I wanted to convey is these other reviews and their assumptions are pretty ridiculous about the Tundra. The 2020 Tundra is leaps ahead of even the 2018 Tundra...those small changes added up for a more refined experience and because of that the Tundra really closed the gap glad the review helped
You are 100% correct I have the 1794 with the Trd package it is an amazing truck. I also got a Trd crew cab with a 6 1/2 foot bed for my wife we love having two tundras in the family. I love these trucks all I can say is we purchase them and depending on what year you got make sure they have the transmission cooler if they don’t install one. It’s not that hard and you can get packages that have all the Toyota parts you need to install one. Great review keep up the great work.
I love the Tundra. It is a solid machine. I couldn’t beat the value of the 2020 Silverado Trailboss so ended up buying that and have been blown away by how fantastic it is. It has the V8 and I get 18.5 MPG over all. Price wise it was only a few thousand more than a Tundra and I got dual zone climate control, heated steering wheel, heated seats, remote start, keyless entry/start and tailgate opens with key fob and a two inch factory lift with off-road tires and shocks not to mention the 10 speed transmission which makes it feel more powerful and faster. It was comfortable and very smooth even compared to Tundra, Ram, F150, and Nissan Titan. I spent a few months doing a tremendous amount of research and all trucks are good choices. If I had a tundra I know I would be just as happy and look for all the ways to justify why I bought it. I’ve owned F150, Silverado, and Tundra and honestly, when it comes to cars or SUVs I wouldn’t spend money on anything but Toyota. With trucks there are too many attractive options available. I paid 42k for the Trailboss and after a year I am still excited every time I get to drive my truck. Great review. I think personally without bias when spending 50k on a truck you should drive at least 3 of your favorite options available before buying.
Awesome Silverado my friend great deal on a great truck. You're right, I love how Value Packed the Silverado Trail Boss is and honestly, I love the way it looks too. I'm glad you are sensible enough in finding value with all trucks but most importantly, I'm glad you found an option that best suited your needs, to the point where a year later you still love it. That's what it's all about. Thank you so much for stopping by
picked up a 21 sr5 trd offroad and am building it up slowly. Love the truck and I'm keeping it till I die. reliable and bulletproof truck but above all it's the best truck to fit my needs and what I was looking for.
Really appreciate your honest review. I am looking for an upgrade after owning my Tacoma 4x4 extended cab truck. That truck was a total indestructible beast and I sold it with 230K miles and still got $4.5K for it, I paid $21K for it 20+ years ago brand new. ;)
I own a 2010 Tundra too. I’ve driven her from 12 miles to now 150k. She is worn but not worn out. I ordered a 1794 and should have it in a few weeks. I wanted to enjoy the last year with a 5.7. I don’t want a V6 twin turbo yet.
I just purchased the 21 1794 with TRD-off road package 2 months ago. Difficult to find . I moved to Tundra from 20 years of driving minivan. Great truck and review..very comfortable and comes to life on the dirt trails
Wow that is an awesome truck! Not only did you get a 1794 with TRD Off Road, but you even got a 2021. Some dealers aren't even accepting 2021 Tundra orders right now, congrats on your purchase.
Great review! I currently have a leased 2019 Tacoma. With such a high demand for used trucks, my dealership is offering me $2,000 to bring it back 7 months early. Currently looking to slide into a Tundra crew cab. Such a great looking truck!
Thank you my friend and yea my buddy did the same thing he flipped his leased Tacoma for a nice little profit. And yes this would most likely be the last chance to get a v8 Tundra
Hi, I am new to your channel, you caught my attention from the title. I will say it is refreshing to listen to someone that gets into detail for a review of the Tundra's. Especially when you said you have driven all other brands. Your video made me subscribe to your channel, I dont like to do that to to many because of all the notifications. But any way YES I am a Toyota fan, and a long term truck owner. A year ago I finally bought my first Tundra, actually first full size "had a Tacoma for 11 years before". Plan on handing this 2014 limited TRD crewmax with levelling down to my son around the year 2030 lol. My question to you is if you know about the levelling kits with spacer and some now I see use the 5100 bilstein adjustable shocks if only going up to 2 1/2". Do you think it would be better ride with the shock adjustment than with the spacer on top of shock? Yes it will be a shame if they dont have the V8 option for the future Tundra's. They forsure can modify this V8 for more power and MPG. Just hope they dont sacrifice the know Toyota reliability and dependability for long term use lol.
I'm humbled that you subscribed my friend thank you so much! Congrats on the Tundra but unfortunately I am the worst person to ask when it comes to modifications. I especially I don't recommend lifting trucks, I know it's a common thing many owners do and really enhances the looks but for me it just compromises on road use too much. Lacks smoothness, handling, and safety. But again, I would ask some experts on Truck modifying what their thoughts are. There might be some less compromising, albeit expensive ways to lift a track without sacrificing too much
By far, the best review. I have the TRD Sport CM, and to me, it handles like a dream. The swaybars do help a lot, but it sacrifices the comfortability over bumps. Still a very comfortable truck and i love it. I chose it over the big 3.
i love the tundra. it's old. it's honest. it's got a great motor. HOWEVER, at 1794 edition... that interior looks like what a japanese engineer in tokyo in the early 2000s must have thought Texas looked like ... ... i'll miss the v8.
Hahaha yea that orange brown Interior is well interesting to say the least. This generation Tundra will def be missed for sure. Glad pops picked one up before 2022
The 1794 is incredibly luxurious to drive I should know I own one. Mine has the TRD off-road package on it. Plus a rear sway bar. I will never get rid of this truck.
I just watched the release of the 2022 Tundra. I rushed out and bought one of the last 2021s in Ontario Canada. Chill white, 1794. This is my 3rd Tundra. People complain about fuel consumption. Fuel costs less than parts. I typically go 110,000 kms on a set of brakes and I tow things not frequently, but often enough. I have never been on a tow truck and between my trucks have put over 400,000 kms on them. When it comes time to sell these things, the value of a clean Tundra is amazing. If the twin turbo V6 proves to be as good as people feel they will be, mine will be an easy sell. There will be a following of V8s that will go on longer than I'll be around.
I don't really feel the need to floor it, pedal 1/2 to 3/4 is plenty. Power is more than adequate in 3.5 in the Ford SuperCrew that I have. Fuel economy is much above the 11.7 you were showing. I don't notice any build quality issues.
I was torn between buying a Tundra and a Titan. I even considered a Ram as well but I am just impressed with the build quality of the Tundras and their excellent resale value. My wife is enjoying it!
@@MeynMotorGroup I hope not. I hope Toyota don’t sell out to emission regulations. Buy the V8 Toyota engines while you can. I have the 04 Tundra and 06 GX470. Only 95k miles on both. Never had a single issue with either vehicle. I’m hoping they will last longer than me. Great work Kevin!!
Thanks for the review. I have a 2018 1794 Tundra and it's everything you say in your review. Plus it will be around for a long time without lots of repair shop time unlike some of the current offerings.
@@MeynMotorGroup Not sure I agree. It's def not for everyone. If you like drone in your everyday driving then go for it. I think the stock exhaust sounds perfect. Sorry I ever spent the money on the TRD Exhaust. Went back to stock after a few years and absolutely love my truck again. Great review by the way
I own a 2001 Limited Tundra (double cab) with 297,000 miles on it , still runs incredible and have never had a problem with it. I was very worried about not being able to buy a V8. Bought a Red 1794 Tundra 2021 and it is stunning and incredible. I keep it parked in the garage and my daily driver is the 2001. Just absolutely phenomenal vehicles. I love driving them !! We also own a 2003 Avalon, with 224,000 miles, and it was a no brainer, bought a 2021 Touring Avalon. And let me just say, the new Avalon's are not your Fathers vehicle - Wow what a Car !!!!!
I have owned Toyota cars and trucks since 1984. Working for the SCDOT for 34 years, I had the chance to drive new Chevy's, Ford's and Dodge trucks. The Chevy wins with me. Personally I owned 3 Toyota pickups prior to my dream truck I now drive. I have a 2018 Toyota Tundra Crewmax Platinum. It only has 61,000 miles and it is one bad ass looking truck.
Great video. Found a 21 mesquite brown 1794 beautiful truck but it does not have trd off road - now i am worried. Should i hold out until i find one with trd off road - sounds like its a deal brekaer for you ?
No not a deal breaker at all it's just my preference as a driving experience. Have you test driven it? It's a beautiful truck and finding a 1794 with TRD Off Road will be rare and difficult so see what you can do with that truck and best price possible there's only like a 1000 or so new 2021 Tundras across the United States from my understanding
1794 Basketballs were used to create this interior :) . Actually it has grown on me since i first saw it. Great review. I love my 18 SR5. Platinum and 1794 are really nice. All share the same guts. BA 10" muffler is you want to hear that V8 without being obnoxious :)
Well i owe you a HUGE apology lol thats what i get for commenting before watching the video in its entirety i just reached the point where you mentioned it was a press vehicle. I recant my statement on assuming you were abusing a new truck. My Bad. Heck as they say drive it like you stole it see what its got. Keep up the good work.
Question to everyone. i communte a little less than 100 miles round trip per day. 75 %on hwy and 25% back roads rarely in traffic or in city, if i buy this Toyota v8 travel at 65 mph, on avg,, will it guzzle gas in these conditions as well? i figure id have to fuel up 2x per week ,maybe. Does that sound right? $200 a week maybe? Just prepping for driving the Truck i love and will keep for a few 100 k miles!😎
Well Said. I really appreciate your honest review of this truck. I have driven the fords and rams and I like them also, but every time I go back to the Tundra (I use to own the first Tundra 2000 when it first came out back in Oct of 1999), this truck was silky and solid to drive. I sold this back in 2008 and I recently purchased my second tundra last year (2020 TRD Sports). There is something to be said about the solidness, no frills and simple truck that is very reliable. It does what you want it to do and it has all the amenities that matter and nothing more. Good job.
Hey thank you my friend and yes for sure I love the other new trucks but like you mentioned Toyota is old school but they managed to pull of all the new school refinement and immediacy in their drivetrain and that makes it a very unique driving experience that's hard to explain to someone who is just poisoned with magazine specs in their minds
I have a 2021 tundra limited silver on order..I like V8; I like hydraulic steering, I like tow hooks, I like the front end over the new front edge, I think the new screen is obnoxious
i own a 2011 Rock Warrior and love it. I know 3 other people who bought a Tundra when i said test drive everything and they all got hooked. 2 left chevy behind, 1 left ford behind.
I own a TRD Sport with Bilstein shocks and sway bars...but it's not "off-road," nor did I wish it to be "off-road." It's funny, other than the Pro, the only other shocks / sway bar package I ever hear about is the TRD Sport OFF-road. So what does that make mine: TRD Sport On-road? I just never hear it phrased that way and I didn't ask at dealer except to know that I hadn't bought a model which was focused on off-road performance (though I know this model can do okay off-road if I needed tdo something mild to moderate off road). Makes me want to go out before it's too late and buy another Tundra. I sure wish Sport had come with integrated nav and convenience package but not the end of the world. Me like those beepers when parking big-ass truck.
Yes you got basically the "on road" sports truck it's supposed to be the best handling tundra and more calibrated for the street which isn't a bad thing since that's where 99% of Truck owners keep their vehicles. I'm just curious about the ride on your truck
@@MeynMotorGroup I've never owned a truck. My other car is a Chevy SS ('17) that handles like crazy. This isn't anywhere near as tight since it weighs more than 2,000 lbs more and...is a truck! When I first test drove a Tundra, I was upset because local dealer didn't have Sport on the lot because I sensed that I wouldn't like softer SR5 ride / truck ride. Month later at another local area dealer they had a TRD Sport on the lot (wrong color for me) but the test drive confirmed my suspicions: I really liked the handling and the tighter drive. Hard to find anything I liked in south Miss, so I had to put out feelers from the dealer and they found two Barcelona Red ones, one in New Orleans and one in north part of state. Since then, I've put on Westin 5" black nerf bars, rear step up peddle, Husky mats and an after market console safe from Lock'er Down (a mom and pop in San Antone that does nothing but make these console safes for all major truck brands going back to like '05. It's a much better make (thicker with better lock and comes in half and full console) than Toyota safe and lock. Thinking about some sort of window tint treatment but options are numerous; and a bed cover; and maybe an exhaust system that highlights V-8 a bit more. Guy at custom shop even trying to talk me into leather seats! May wait a year on that one cuz I'm not sure about leather being an advantage in hot climate. Loving the heck out of the truck and allows me to save miles on the SS. It's a real workhorse and very reliable. I'm retired, so I didn't mean WORK horse, lol. Play horse, more like it!
Sorry meant to respond to this yesterday but yes they work decently well, on full blast I def feel it so If you live in a hot climate yea it's not a bad option to have
Well I haven't tried the 2021 F 150 but 2019s didn't even work at all. I'm sure chevy and ram are good and hopefully Ford made their features more reliable for 2021 but idk which is best
TRD Off Road Package with 18 inch wheels, do that and you will get tighter steering feel and a better ride. But good luck finding one trucks seem to be hard to come by right now
@@MeynMotorGroup I purchased 1749 last weekend with 20 wheels and your absolutely right about the feel. Definitely not tight compared to my 2013 Tundra with 18" wheels but the Toyota dealer said I wouldn't feel the difference, and it's not worth it....but I can :) Can I purchase 18" TRD Pro wheels and replace them myself? I was thinking of using the Michelin LTX MS2 instead of the Bridgestone Duelers?
Well it's not just the wheels it's the whole suspension too that's you get with the TRD off road package. Like my Father and I could care less about off reading but what that off road suspension and wheel set up offers is the comfortable ride and also slightly tighter driving dynamics out on the street which is what we really cared about and wanted. Now In your case, since you already purchased such a beautiful truck I would just leave it as is and enjoy it as is. I didn't have an issue driving the 1794 that I did in this video I still enjoyed my 1 week with it so you should be fine
I just got mine 21 tundra limited TRD off road in for a week now and love it. Beautiful truck. Don’t worry about the HATER . Tundra will out last their competitors
You are 100% correct. We have two of them for my wife and eye and we love them both. I totally agree with you on your perception of the other trucks. I have owned them for company trucks. My money will go on V8 tundras but the new V6 tundras are not nowhere near as good.
Very nice my friend yea amongst the half ton trucks, I genuinely don't think the Tundra can be beat for work purposes, plus we like the looks of the 2014 and up generation
@@MeynMotorGroup Oh yeah, it looks great. I recommend Gulf State Toyota's side 5" black step tubes (For a Crewmax, part number 00012-T1572-03), paired with a nice front bull bar, & the TRD PRO front grille.
Yea I think the one we ordered comes with predator steps the 2 piece ones we prefer a 1 piece step tho. TRD grill is epic but we may just do a chrome delete on ours but we'll see
I got my 2021 Toyota Tundra sr5 v8 crewmax 4x4 with the trail edition and man I love that truck. I was going to get the new Silverado but I heard there are issues with them
Thank you for the great detailed review! I was torn between a 2022 and 2021 Tundra. I wanted the V8 and old school styling but some of the new tech on the 2022 is also nice. I'm currently waiting for my 2022 order of a Limited CrewMax TRD Off Road in Lunar Rock to be delivered as the wait is still 4 months away. I'm located in Vancouver, BC, Canada and the new Tundra's are finally making their way north of the border. My dealer contacted me two weeks ago to let me know that a customer cancelled their order of a black 2021 CrewMax TRD Sport Premium. It is the last 2021 being delivered to BC and since I was first in line waiting for the 2022, I was asked if I wanted it. Without hesitation, I jumped on it! It should arrive in 1-2 weeks and I'm very excited. I won't lie as I was having second thoughts, but your video reassured and convinced me that I made the correct choice! Thank you again for your detailed opinion on the 2021 Tundra! 👍
Oh wow massive congrats my friend that’s crazy how that worked out for you but I think you ended up with a pretty epic truck there and a very desirable one as well. Good thing about the 2021 is you know you can flip it anytime for money but enjoy it my friend great vehicle
@@MeynMotorGroup Congrats to you and your father for your purchases as well and thank you for the kind words! This will be my first ever truck and very first Toyota. I've owned several cars including a 1968 Charger R/T 440, 1987 Grand National, 1993 Corvette 40th Roadster, 1995 Corvette ZR-1, 1996 AMG C36 (currently own), 1999 AMG C43 with an 2002 E55 crate motor swap (currently own) and a 2006 AMG CLS55. It will be a little strange going to a truck but exciting at the same time. I thank you again for the unbiased and very detailed review. The very best review of the Tundra and I've seen them all. Being the last V8, I'll definitely be hanging on to this truck. Your video initially caught my attention as you reminded me of my cousin when I was much younger. All the best to you my friend and be safe! 🙏
@@MeynMotorGroup Thank you! I've enjoyed and cherished every vehicle that I've ever owned and the Tundra will be no different! In your opinion, is the Toyota Extra Care Protection Warranty worth purchasing through the dealer or are they just a money grab? You're very welcome and I appreciate your awesome reviews!
The new Tundra is a no brainer. My mom just bought the exact same truck but in black. She loves the crew max and the rear window rolled down allows the dog to poke his head through to us LOL
I have 2020 Tundra v8 I bought it new.... I love it so much that even when the dealer call me to sell for them for another truck like 2022 I told them hell No... I don't want V6.. they offer beautiful amout for it still I reject the offer
Honestly I'm not crazy about the Raptor the TT V6 does not sound good I mean Ford in general does an awful job with how their turbo motors sounds and the exhaust sounds very boomy on it. But driving wise, despite it being so large it really does handle great. That's what the F 150 is best as I just wish they would use their Coyote 5.0l V8 or something in the Raptor an epic vehicle like that deserves a proper engine.
2019+ Ram 1500 Limited 100%. I have had the tundra 1791, 18’ f-150 limited, Sierra Denali. The ram limited is so far above the rest in interior and suspension it’s just ridiculous. F150 has the neat motor, tundra has that Toyota reliability, Denali has a little of everything, and the ram has the interior of a 7 series while the rest are more like a 5 series and below. That ram is just so god darn nice inside. And the four corner air ride once it softens... damn... Range Rover ride quality almost.
I agree RAM is epic you summarized that well. I will say the Limited gets up there in price and I'm not exactly a truck guy so for like 70k+ I'm going with a CPO S class or AMG but for the Truck enthusiasts, RAM is an epic truck to lease
I have had all gm products and recently had a new one every year starting in 2018. I’m so disappointed in them and I keep going back to them. I’m so done. The 2021 duramax that I have now the driving experience I get just sucks. It wanders down the road. It has great power but doesn’t make up for the crappy driving experience. I am looking at trucks and test drove 3 f150’s but there having engine problems with the 5.0. I drove the tundra and it was nice. Good ride comfortable and just reminded me of what it was like when things were normal. Remind me of like a crown Vick smooth but yet nimble powerful but not uncoupled. I’m going to put money down on one tomorrow. I do have a 3.0 at4 duramax ordered but I think I need to go with my gut and not chase the fluff. The resale value on gm 1/2 ton just suck. Thanks man good video and you are spot on when talking about the Toyota.
Absolutely love the Tundras but man the gas mileage isn’t that great. Would totally buy one if gas wasn’t so high right now, leaning more toward a Tacoma. Toyota’s are the best!
Hey so regarding gas mileage, if you can get away with a smaller truck, have you looked into the Honda Ridgeline? It's very overlooked but because it's basically a Honda Pilot it has car like handling and great fuel economy as far as trucks are concerned. I know it lacks the rugged appearance but I'm just saying a unique choice
My Gather and i owned a new 2000 tundra TRD. Loved that truck ive also owned a Ford expedition Eddie bauer addition the Tundra was by far the better vehicle. Quite comfortable ride nice handling. I can only amagine the 2021 in comparison. Great review but one critical criticism. Please tell me that was a used truck or at least a Demo that was at the end of its use for the dealer and it had enough miles past its proper break in period. You do not take a brand new vehicle and ring it out like that and floor it. Im sure you were not thinking about it. Either that or you were never told how to properly break in a new engine/new vehicle. Sorry not trying to be that guy but i had to point it out. Otherwise. I wish you and your father well on your new purchase.
Haha thank you for stopping by my friend, that's awesome! Great to see viewers close by, just graduated in 2019. Hope school is going ok for you with all the nonsense going on.
@@MeynMotorGroup Definitely. I’ve noticed you were local once when I think you drove a Tundra with a Hendrick Toyota Apex sticker on the back of it lol. I currently have an 03 tundra access cab trd 4.7 leveled with a flowmaster and several other goodies - love it. I plan on getting a 2020 or 2021 Limited Crewmax trd sometime after college. And honestly, school is still going super well for me with all this covid mess. Even just launched my own small business as a mobile auto detailer so all is well. Just looking forward to getting my new tundra
Haha yea the blue truck was from Hendrick and that's awesome congrats man glad to hear everything is going well you're way ahead of the game with even a business under your belt. Keep it up you will def get that new Tundra in no time
What's "advanced" about the domestics suspension? It is nothing new. The Ram's rear coil spring is nothing new. For example Toyota uses that setup on the LandCruiser! Soft ride? That can easily be changed with a different coil spring. Go softer spring, smoother ride, more squat with Heavy Payload. Go high rate spring, harsher ride, less squat with heavy Payload. The Silverado rides firmer in the rear because of harder leaf springs for more Payload and handling with load.
No credit where credit is due those trucks really are advanced and they can be that advanced because they sell like 500k of them a year in the states alone. This is why the F 150 due to economies of scale can use an all aluminum body that some sports cars don't even have. Then there's the variety of tech whether you use them or not the vehicles have it like the trailer assist, advanced safety tech, 35 inch television screens, massage seats, etc etc. Sure there's diminished returns with a lot of this stuff but on paper, these domestics do offer a ton of tech that make owners feel like James Bond and reviewers continue to paint the Tundra as some antiquated irrelevant vehicle but reality is, it's got more than what you need and 100% of what's offered can be used and is very satisfying to drive.
I already have my friend! Check my channel I did a 2021 Pro 4x. I loved the interior but wasn't a fan of the more jittery ride over smaller bumps but ride wasn't bad as a whole. Subjective but was not a fan of the looks but is a solid truck good power train and best warranty out of all the trucks
My brother in law has a coworker who bought a new Titan last year and at 10 000 kms it needed an entire NEW engine. If you watch PINE HOLLOW AUTO DIAGNOSTICS...TITAN has issues with camshaft VVT sensors and also ECM issues. I would go with Toyota. Good luck with your choice.
2020 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD Off Road Review: ua-cam.com/video/Vf8AE8tRCwg/v-deo.html

I respect this review. Thanks for not crying about how old this generation is. This appeals to those that aren't distracted by showroom gimmicks.

By far the best review on the tundra. Definitely sold me on getting one.
Haha glad you liked it my friend
So drive with one with out the eTorque with out Auto shut off.
I love Mazda, Toyota & Lexus. You're killing it with the reviews brother!
Haha thank you my friend hope to bring an LX 570 and Miata review soon!
I have '18 1794 edition. Installed the TRD exhaust and intake. It's my 2nd Tundra and I love it!
Now that is epic my friend!
I'm so impressed with this review. It's the best out there. I've been watching so many review as I'm getting closer to purchasing a Tundra and this is by far the best.
Glad I could provide value my friend!
The best review I've seen on the Tundra, ever. Great job 👍
I'm humbled by that my friend thank you!
Really good review Bro! I got mine 2021 tundra 1794 just last night with 20 k miles on it and I can’t wait to ride it everyday!
Had a 2019 f150. Used oil, transmission shifted strangely sometimes. Sometimes when I would crank it up, it would jerk like the drive shaft tried to move. Being a 5.0, of course it had the type writer tick. Traded for a 2021 tundra limited. No issues so far!
Best Tundra review I’ve ever watched.
Kevin always talking about the things other car reviewers overlook.
I’m humbled by that thank you Benji!
"You're getting a studio apartment back there" lawls. Thanks for the review man! Already set to grab one, and I appreciate someone who is able to get through an entire review without bashing a great vehicle.
Haha glad you enjoyed my friend
Toyota Tundra one badass truck on planet Earth been in love with Japanese technology
Haha yea I also like the looks of it for sure
Great review my friend. Thanks for not keeping it generic like most other reviewers, but really putting in your editorialization.
Hey thank you very much super happy you found value with it!
I pickup my 1794 edition Monday....super excited‼️
Massive congrats my friend !
I just picked up a black 20211794 with the TRD Off Road package. It's an amazing truck. Drives fantastic.
Wow gorgeous truck my friend congrats! Excellent job on getting the TRD Off Road Package
Congrats!
One of the best reviews on any truck I've seen on you tube. Nice Job.
Humbled by that my friend!
Really appreciate your honest review. I am looking for an upgrade after owning my Tacoma 4x4 extended cab truck. That truck was a total indestructible beast and I sold it with 230K miles and still got $4.5K for it, I paid $21K for it 20+ years ago brand new. ;)
Hey thank you my friend and that's awesome yea you can never loose with these trucks on resale
@@MeynMotorGroup Thanks much. It was definitely hard to find. Thanks again for your honest review 😊
Love my 15 SR5 tundra with TRD off road!! 60k zero problems! Still looks and drives like new
Vert nice!
The most fair video about Toyota Tundra I've seen on UA-cam
Thank you my friend I tried my best to give the Tundra the chance it deserves
Picked a 2021 1794 up in December. Love it. Sold my 2013 Tundra for almost what I paid for it. Needed the new V8 before they go away 🤪
Massive congrats! Exactly what we did with our 2010 Truck. Had tot take advantage of that new 5.7 V8 for sure
Best review on tundra ever. Excellent.
That's awesome!
I was torn between buying a Tundra and a Titan. I even considered a Ram as well but I am just impressed with the build quality of the Tundras and their excellent resale value. My wife is enjoying it!
Nice! Yea I really enjoy driving the Tundra especially with the TRD Off Road package
The last of the V8’s.
Yea most likely my friend but we shall see
@@MeynMotorGroup I hope not.
Thank you my friend and awesome job getting the 1794 it's a very cool truck
Great video. Could not have explained the "mechanical feel" better. Similar in the new Tacoma's and its the best part about them.
Glad you liked it!
Bought my 2021 with longevity in mind. The extra gingerbread options like adaptive cruise are nice, but they might be a little buggy down the road.
Great review! Just got my 2021 Tundra Limited 3 weeks ago! Can you tell me how to set up the compass in the rear view mirror?
You gotta install the trd pro exhaust ! Sounds so good on my trd pro !
Ooh man I'm jealous TRD Pro sounds soo good yea that exhaust is def worth it!
Great review by the way
Yo bro those brown seats and interior doors are fire 😎👍🏾👍🏾
Haha yea I liked them for sure lol
@@MeynMotorGroup Definitely had a luxury and comfy look to them bro
I def liked how solid the interior was as well!
@@MeynMotorGroup Yupp bro Toyota stepped their game up nicely on that truck interior
Haha that is awesome my friend that's a lot of Toyotas!
Toyota is an incredible auto maker...one of the very best.
Very nice truck bro and love how great the steering is and how u described it 👍🏾👍🏾
I have owned Toyota cars and trucks since 1984.
I owned a 2019 Raptor and just bought a 2021 Tundra 1794 and the only thing better about the Raptor was the power. The Tundra is awesome.
Great - thanks !
Turning Radius and Full rear window roll down is what sold me
Yea turning circle really is incredible wish more people talked about that
I love this color. Mines a 2021 in magnetic gray. Really regret going with that color wish ida gotten windchill, super white, or cement.
Great review! I picked up a 2020 limited loving it.
Congratulations my friend!
1794 Basketballs were used to create this interior :) . Actually it has grown on me since i first saw it. Great review. I love my 18 SR5. Platinum and 1794 are really nice. All share the same guts. BA 10" muffler is you want to hear that V8 without being obnoxious :)
Haha 😄 it is a unique interior choice for sure but glad you are loving your SR5 def a solid truck
No worries my friend 😅
That's a cool truck! Glad you and your friend's like it
I have one coming in October and I can’t wait! Great review
Massive congrats my friend!
Do the cooled seats work pretty well? My dads getting a tundra this week and he was wondering if the cooled seats are worth it
Sorry meant to respond to this yesterday but yes they work decently well, on full blast I def feel it so If you live in a hot climate yea it's not a bad option to have
@@MeynMotorGroup What truck do you think has the best cooled seats?
Well I haven't tried the 2021 F 150 but 2019s didn't even work at all. I'm sure chevy and ram are good and hopefully Ford made their features more reliable for 2021 but idk which is best
@@MeynMotorGroup thanks for the replies💪
You mentioned to order a 1749 with 18" wheels vs 20" what's the difference in the feel?
TRD Off Road Package with 18 inch wheels, do that and you will get tighter steering feel and a better ride. But good luck finding one trucks seem to be hard to come by right now
@@MeynMotorGroup I purchased 1749 last weekend with 20 wheels and your absolutely right about the feel. Definitely not tight compared to my 2013 Tundra with 18" wheels but the Toyota dealer said I wouldn't feel the difference, and it's not worth it....but I can :)
Can I purchase 18" TRD Pro wheels and replace them myself?
Insert *you wouldn't get it* joker picture.
Thank you for helping me make my decision on buying a 2021 tundra. It's my second one. I love it!
thank you for a true review! I'm looking at one tomorrow!
I just got mine 21 tundra limited TRD off road in for a week now and love it. Beautiful truck. Don’t worry about the HATER . Tundra will out last their competitors
Massive congrats my friend epic truck glad you got all the nice features and the TRD off road package!
Thanks 🙏. Great video u put out. Best of luck to u.
Always owned silverados..... my last one lasted 300000 miles. Drive tundra & ram.... by far, silverado has the smoothest ride.
The new Silverado won’t last that long.
You are 100% correct. We have two of them for my wife and eye and we love them both. I totally agree with you on your perception of the other trucks. I have owned them for company trucks. My money will go on V8 tundras but the new V6 tundras are not nowhere near as good.
My dad actually owns a 2017 Tundra SR5 for hauling/work. 30,521 miles in and just needed new PowerStop brake pads/rotors we DIY'd and tires so far.
I was going to get the new Silverado but I heard there are issues with them
I just test drove a Silverado for fun, interior was like a fisher price toy felt like a tin can.
🙏
Wow now that’s a lineup of vehicles anyone would love to experience well done! And I’m humbled by your kind words I really appreciate your support!
Michelin M/S Defender betr in snow and rain and longevity from my experience owning 2 Tundras
Do trd off road have a rear locker by chance?
The new Tundra is a no brainer. My mom just bought the exact same truck but in black. She loves the crew max and the rear window rolled down allows the dog to poke his head through to us LOL
Haha for sure yea that was a smart feature by Toyota
I own two tundras. A 2001 with over 220,000 miles and still going
My 2015 1794 is perfect (except the gas consumption)
Your the man..nice job and great review!
Glad you enjoyed my friend!
I have 2020 Tundra v8 I bought it new.... I love it so much that even when the dealer call me to sell for them for another truck like 2022 I told them hell No... I don't want V6.. they offer beautiful amout for it still I reject the offer
I've had 2 new chevrolet Z71 and the transmission went out on both
Thanks 🙏 Kevin, great overview.
Great review!
Yo legit a collab with Savagegeese would be fire 👌 🔥
Haha humbled by that my friend
What you think about the Ford raptor?
Honestly I'm not crazy about the Raptor the TT V6 does not sound good I mean Ford in general does an awful job with how their turbo motors sounds and the exhaust sounds very boomy on it. But driving wise, despite it being so large it really does handle great. That's what the F 150 is best as I just wish they would use their Coyote 5.0l V8 or something in the Raptor an epic vehicle like that deserves a proper engine.
I have 2019 F250 fx4 6.2. I don’t floor it when I drive, and I get 15 mpg.........
6.2l 250? Gotta floor that all day long
2019+ Ram 1500 Limited 100%.
Tundra is my dream truck. Some day hopefully.
Great review, but if I could suggest? Shorter would be good.
What color is that? Pearl white?
Yes it is it’s called wind chill pearl
Best unbiased review.
Appreciate that!
You’re wearing the right hat, bro 👍🏼 I’m currently a junior at NC State lol
Best truck review, subscribed....
Appreciate that my friend and thank you for the support!
Should last you forever. Its tried and true. I love that 5.7 V8.
Haha yea it is certainly dependable and motor is certainly a gem
Exactly why I chose one.
Excellent , wonderful review. Thank you
Appreciate that my friend!
My 07 Tundra 5.7 has 271k, run great. Never had it for nothing, just normal stuff.
Nice!
Blue is sweet! White, not so much. Love the 1794 interior.
Review the 2020+ nissan titan now! I'm debating between the two trucks
Subbed. Keep the honest reviews going 👍🏽
Humbled my friend really appreciate the support!
Very good review. Thank you
