    OK I did this, and I’m wondering what I could’ve broke. I had no code prior after one trip the next day check engine light came on reading
    P2647
    Control unit:09
    Status: Confirmed
    Rocker arm actuator A, bank 1 - actuator stuck on VTEC Oil Pressure Switch Circuit High Voltage
    The VTEC solenoid is only a year old, I will replace it tonight and put in a new one but I’m concerned that I’ve done irreparable damage. Any thoughts? What could I have broke?

    Did you add rtv to the inner threads of the bolt holes? As it states in the manual.

      @tyrc12pro94 nah I never do, I put rtv around the hole and of course it squishes and covers when putting on I'm sure some goes in bolt hole though when closing it up

      @SwishLifeGarage I didn't either. I was just wondering. Not 1 that likes rtv.
      I seen so many leaks. I have fixed alot of people's mess ups. I try to use as less as possible. Appreciate you communicating back. Most don't care about helping those that came to UA-cam videos for help. They made the video to help. I'm seeing that most make videos just for the money. Once they get bigger and more subscribers they forget what got them there. Keep up the great work.

      @tyrc12pro94 ill answer as long it's a logical question or something that in fact wasn't on the vid and not someone just commenting before watching lol I just got to keep it real with the viewers and show how things are supposed to get done. I love real work and not just fooling/fast forwarding the viewer just for entertainment. I appreciate your time and comment!

    how's it been with the heat shield removed? (over the headers) How many hours did this take you? Tia

      @SwishLifeGarage  2 місяці тому +1

      theres no issues running without the shield, dont remember how long this take, maybe hour and half? takes twice as long when recording lol

      What I find best is a green scrub pad 👍🏽

    Ha! I also see youre not using a torque wrench and just going off of feel. Same here lol. Have a torque but dont have the right adapter for these tiny 10 mm

    Only 9ft/lbs so barely tight?

    • @SwishLifeGarage
      @SwishLifeGarage  Рік тому

      Yep basically just till it stops and slight pressure on the rachet but make sure evenly tightened all around
