it does not matter if you deliver top quality production content if youtube algorithms don't pick your channel up only people that search for specific content will find the channel.
Had one for about two years now, barely using and babied until just stops working, conveniently two months after the warranty expired and all Antlion would offer is a 10% discount lmao Not to mention I bought it for $100 and now it costs $140 for a replacement
This mic seems amazing . thinking of getting it to use it when i am doing VR stuff cause although steelseries mic is good i find the steel series mic to Nasley for my taste when it comes to audio quality . so this would be awsome . Might have to pick one up .
The Wireless is a really good option! The mod mics still are a bit thin sounding and nasally, but a solid option if you already have good non gaming cans. Some Gaming headsets do have better mics, EG, Beyer-MMX 300/330 pros, Blackshark V2 Pro (2023) although most of them are really bad it's laughable for the high price, I did try the mod mic with my Beyer DT990 pros and it just wasn't a good compromise over my XLR RE-20 mic. and sounded worse than my black sharks. I now have the Beyer MMX330 pros and that mic is a lot better, I also have the Rode 3.5 to VLXR adapter that steps down 48V PP and steps it down to 3-5V to power the Mic on the headset into my Audio interface and enjoy Direct monitoring and expensive preamp/EQ/Comp.
The price is high all for it to break within less then a year. Worst bit is the uni is awful and crackles and the usb is expensive for just a usb port.
Would this be good for someone who works from home and needs to remove as much background noise as possible? I have a loud mechanical keyboard that I’m not willing to replace
Hello! Was looking to upgrade from my Arctis 1s for my Xbox series S gaming and I noticed you mentioned the modmic wasn't compatible with it (Xbox controller)? I looked into a bit and saw posts mentioning certain setups do work with the modmic so long as you have a splitter. Is this true? If so, would it work with the Arctis 3? Any help deeply appreciated! :)
So technically you can get it to work with Xbox, you just have to do a bunch of work arounds. Honestly, more trouble than it’s worth to do so in my opinion
Ah, I see. I've been striving to find some headsets that work with the Xbox that have probably the best mic quality and haven't found any that are satisfying. Your workaround however seems like just the thing! Do you have any recommendations that might be more easier?
Have you found an attachable mic better than this one? I love the convenience of an attachable mic but want the quality of a high end offering. I’d spend a lot if meant getting a genuinely high quality headset mic. Alternatively are there any gaming headsets out there that have genuinely good stock mics? I know the Logitech G Pro X headset with that BluVoice chip for some love at its price point awhile ago, but I never found it to be all that great to be honest.
Honestly this is one of the best I’ve found so far. Beyond this, you could look for things in the film market. Like wireless lav mics with transmitters. But in the gaming space, this is the best I’ve been able to come across
I just cant justify the price, those little stupid mics you plug into transmitters are 25$ and better than it.. at their core mics are incredible simple. antlion is somehow the only company filling this extremely common use case basically the mic part of the mic at its core is only 15$, so 100 on top jsut to power it and have a wireless connection? doesnt add up
SteelSeries is a sh!t mic quality brand. It is a known thing. Buy better brands but not Steelseries for gaming :) They are also data thief. They develeoped their engine driver software for that ;)
im honestly surprised this guy isnt super popular, this is a cool channel!
Thank you so much!!🙏
Definitely a very underrated channel imo

This would be really useful for VR
Exactly why I'm here watching this as a VR content creator. lol
@@CR00K__Gaming it awesome for vr, i have one stuck to my quest 2 and use virtual desktop to play pc games. works amazing and sounds great

Good review, short and sweet, hits all important bits/pros + cons, cute doggie. Great work!
109$ for the renewed versions with a 2 year full warranty from the manufacturer.
Great Review, Well done!
Thank you so much!!
Had it for 2 years now, no problem and good sound
Thanks that video helped out and was really well made up!

$200 for a mic released 6 years ago. Forget it pal.
when you spend £1000 on a headset then it's nothing
@@LynxEng who would spend that amount of money on a headset? lol
@@ghostkiller4865 HD 800s isn't far off and a lot of pro gamers use that
@@LynxEng i know bro but still most people don't have the luxury to to throw in 1k on a headset
Pro race drivers aswell use some of the best cars and parts @@LynxEng

My question is, how far away is the sensitivity? I play drums, and I would be worried that the drums sound would come across on the mic.
It will for sure pickup the sound of your drums
@@BaxTechYT Thank you for answering! For context I am talking about electronic drums. Would that be picked up as well?
@@FonixVR_ ah I gotcha. It would still pick up the thuds of your sticks hitting the pads

Had it for about 3 years and still going strong. Hard to say it’ll break in a year if you take good care of it
When you upload full review steelseries arctis 3?
I have a full review on the channel!

I would look into Corsair. Their mics are amazing.
Do you think , it could connect to iphone with a usb port
It's also a nice mic if you want to stream in vr
Can you use this on iPhone
Hmm you might be able to with a ton of adapters, but I don't think it would be worth the trouble
Mod mic vs corsair hs80. Which is better?
Hmm the Modmic is just hard to beat for any headset honestly. But the HS80 is very solid!
I like it when you say dongle
DONGLE!!
After some use, the wire becomes loose and won't hold it's shape. It's very annoying. Other than that, this is a fantastic mic.

130 is kinda a lot tho
Maybe, depends on your budget and needs! A cheaper price would be nice, but I do think it’s worth it
Compared to the next tier which is a desktop mic
This price makes sense
Get a Job Lil bro
@@9klincolnlil bro my audio technicas cost me $215. Spending $350 just to fit my needs is kind of insane.
