- Colin is back at it, looking at 4 ways to screen print black plastisol ink on a black shirt (or any black garment.)
There are multiple ways beyond this to achieve a variety of results, like most aspects of screen printing. It really comes down to what you, the printer or the customer wants. These are a few ways to think about how to bring variety and offer value to your customers just by slight adjustments in how you approach your screen printing job. Screen printing black ink on a black shirt isn't rocket science, but it is interesting to see the different effects using puff additives, printing with a clear base, or changing up how you cure. Either way printing black on black can get a really cool look that customers will love.

The puff real nailed it but I also dig the clear print 🔥🔥🔥
Hit it with the heatpress after will give you a super shiny look also.
Good Tip!

I have the same setup. Great Job.
Really really helpful 👏🏾👏🏾

Really shinny can also be achieve by finishing it up in the heatpress with a teflon sheet ;) Love this color highlight... Black on black... Red on Red... white on white... very interesting design ideas can come out of it!! :)
Thanks @Dankous - Happy printing!
Sweet!
Just had a shirt screen printed, and I was so disappointed with how it turned out because picture I sent them looked like the two pictures on the right, but what I got back was totally white, I'm glad to see that that sort of look can be done, it looks great!
Dang Jett! That stinks. Hopefully you can find a printer in your area that can make it happen for you. Or.... maybe you want to start printing on your own?!
@@Ryonet I'm looking into doing it myself, but just for a one-off for Halloween, so I'm not sure 😅
Understood, Jett. Maybe a DIY kit or something just to some one offs. otherwise finding someone who can do it for you would be a good way too.
I’ve been wanting to do this! Thank you for the video and tips!
Awesome! Show us your prints when you do and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
Is the puff additive ready for sale yet? I want to give that a shot with a new job.
Thank you kindly for this demonstration, Where does one find clear ink?
Good morning, @DJGolDon! Plastisol extenders, some curable reducers, and high density clear are all good option for the clear in this video. Just make sure that they are curable by themselves. We don't have curable reducer at the moment, but we do have some HD clear on our site. Hope this helps.
Hola saludos de México, podrán regresar a las explicaciones en español tiene muchos años que no editan.
رائع ❤️
Coba pake warna drak grey
We just print the black on a white underbase and then flash and print black again and it gives a nice clean print.
but as the shirt ages the white underlying print looks awful. i really wish people would NOT do this.
@@oo.182 Depends on the inks you use. We have shirts that we printed a few years back that still look the same.
Can you use permaset black ink on black shirts.? And how would that look ?
I don't have usage info on Permaset Inks but as it's not a brand we carry so I would definitely check with them or check out our Green Galaxy line for black waterbased inks that look amazing when printing black on black! ProTip: Add a touch of Puff for a special 3D black on black effect. Check it out here...scrnprntl.ink/Puff
