Man, Randy's the coolest. He's got that humble, laid-back, southern Oregon ease while making some of the most outrageous and amazing automotive art. I just wonder what's going on with those pulse jets too!
This guys is amazing! He treats his work like an artist would! Starts from scratch and has such a passion for the whole process! Not just an engine guy, but you can tell he really loves the design aspect of every part of what ever he is building! Its sooo awesome hearing him show off at talking about his stuff!!! Id love to get to meet him someday!
the passion he projects just in explaining his ideas and vision is so real. you would need that love and passion to take on and go through with a build to that caliber. the time it takes to do just one small step of something like that is just mind boggling. credit to you my friend.
I love how enthusiastic Randy Grubb is about his work, it's a joy to see his passion. what isn't a joy is 40 5min videos uploaded at the same time by HRM clogging up my youtube feed
I guess your using computers now Randy, in an interview with Jan Leno you stated you didn't use them. I'm glad your computer literate now, but I would hope you still keep your old school style, because that's were the majic in your creativity is. Thanks for sharing Mr.Grubb, if you ever need help bucking rivets, I'm an A&P mechanic/technician. Thanks again for all your beautiful builds, I really dig them, especially the Decoliner & scooters. Take care Randy, peace out TheBentley.
We all look at these amazing cars from history and dream about them. You see a classic Cord and know you can never have it. How cool would it be to just be able to build your own version? And it's even better because it's your own version. Everything is how you would want it.
Would be amazing to spend a few days going through stuff with the likes of him and Foose. Just different people than you will ever meet. If you could just soak up some of that motivation and vision......GAHH.
Totally agree . Another I love to watch is Marcel DeLey (?) and his sons . ( I only ever got to see the Alumatub by Boyd , but I have seen some of their work in Hot Rod mags and I am envious to say the least !
The Bugatti Aerolithe & Atlantic coupe were welded but it was very difficult to weld because you couldn't heat the magnesium at to higher temp because it would combust
Funny seeing the guy crouched down, arms splaying out over the skeleton on the fenders explaining in pained terms about the intended effect of the proportions all measured and focused and then your eyes notice the front wheel of a motorbike behind him with the most ridiculous and outrageously large exhaust. Then you start to say, oh...!
I think he should drop the engine down and make taller trumpets, engine being down and back as far as possible is best, i know its not a racecar but the driving feel of a well balanced car is best bro!
Randy rocks but I would dropped have the motor that 4" and gotten longer trumpets (velocity stacks) so they would poke through the hood as he designed it.
What kind of crazy bastard makes a car body out of magnesium? I'd hate to get in an accident in one of those. For those of you who don't know, magnesium is extremely flammable and it burns HOT.
the guy is a genius and a true artisan..what a mind he has...very multi-dimensional....all of his stuff is rolling art
Really like Randy's enthusiasm. He builds some amazing rolling works of art.

Rands Grubb is incredible! I'm amazed by builders talent. Randy blocs my mind with what he can do.😊
The best thing about Randy is how lost in is vision he gets while talking about his project.
He's a true artist.

I got to meet Randy and hang out in his shop a few years back. He really is a great guy.
where is his shop? I live in Ashland, Oregon
@@timhitt9541 It was in Grant's Pass, not sure if it still is

True designer. As a humble nobody design oriented guy I give massive credit to this guy!
Randy is that perfect blend of brilliant and mad haha

Brilliant … he brings you in all the way!
Nice! Love the enthusiasm he has for the craft.
I just love his deco-pods... and Randy is growing with his projects! He IS theee metal sculptor. Made fantastic cars+ ;-)
Randy Grubb is the Christian Koenigsegg of customs. Has a vision that is hard not to buy and actually follows through with it. Deep respect.
Going to be a Great car. What a Great guy for going into such great detail.

hes a mad genius. freaking amazing!!
pure genius is the dude.
Andy Grub is amazing and absolutely insane. I wish I could afford to have him make vehicles for me...
I would love to apprentice with Mr. Grundy. The skill he has shouldn't be lost.......
Mad genius..sometimes you have to be a little off to be genius..wonderful work...
geniuses ;-) are not normal people...
Awesome project , amazing talent
If I ever hit the lottery I'm having Randy build me a car.
Randy, another masterpiece. congratulations from Team Wienerdog !!!
Talent and enthusiasm are magnets ...G...
He was on jay Leno’s show with his cars , just such a nice guy and a phenomenal artist fabricator
I want to spend my life working for this guy.
On a different level!
Love his deco pods!
He's so passionate I love it
Randy, how do you keep the alloy from weathering? Do you coat them with gloss clear or something?
A true work of art.
Would be amazing to spend a few days going through stuff with the likes of him and Foose. Just different people than you will ever meet. If you could just soak up some of that motivation and vision......GAHH.

it would be cool to see what he foose and steve mohl could come up with maybe just mohl and grub let foose put a foose fade on it
++Steve B Why mess with what Randy does? If you want Fosse, then use Fosse. You don't wheel Michael Angelo in to touch up Leonardo da Vinci creation
Great work!
Only concern is the welded frame. Too many welds too much power - will it all hold or give way?
Ahh, that V12. Like a sledgehammer in a silk stocking!
Pure creativity.
Great artist!
Awesome video guys!
Salvatore Dali of the custom car world
Awesome craftsman too!!
Randy Grubb's passion for cars reminds me of Howard Hughes's passion for aviation. Also, he kind of looks like Howard Hughes as well.
Wish you could bottle his enthusiasm. I'd drink it for breakfast.
The Bugatti Aerolithe & Atlantic coupe were welded but it was very difficult to weld because you couldn't heat the magnesium at to higher temp because it would combust
What a craftsman.
wow..... I love this guy!!!!
I want a neighbor like Randy
to be his apprentice for a day would blow your mind
boys thats a nice start
This guy is amazing
I wish I was that smart and talented
This guy makes some amazing vehicles. I can't understand how 52 people give it a thumbs down. Must be basement dwelling mouth-breathing amoebas
52 haters, it's called Jealousy and envy because they can't build or do anything big or small thats creative or cool.
All of these techniques are old boatbuilding. The rivet body goes back to the Vikings. Water cut with tabs is modern stich and glue.....
I gotta say to the falconer guys,do you think it was necessary to put v12 on the valve covers
What a genius 😳👏🏻
Pure genius!!
what program did you use to built chassis
Incredible insanity!

+TommyTwobats It is a Pulse Jet Engine
The Atlantic has a magnesium body, that's why it's panels are not welded.
+mcstaal Thanks for repeating what Randy emphasised
Could have featured "pink shoes" a little more!
I think he should drop the engine down and make taller trumpets, engine being down and back as far as possible is best, i know its not a racecar but the driving feel of a well balanced car is best bro!
+Prodriver33 Randy builds these mind blowing creations
but you argue with him
from your lounger
I know this was filmed quite a while ago. Is there anywhere we can look for an update?
Click the link in the description for article on the finished car.
I read the article the other week.
What ever happened to Randy Grubb? I haven't heard or seen anything new in 6 years
is it legal for the road?
❤
I see Robert Maddox hanging around out there!
i can weld .090 with little or no warp .125 is very strong and heavy i think u should try .090 c.s.
Randy rocks but I would dropped have the motor that 4" and gotten longer trumpets (velocity stacks) so they would poke through the hood as he designed it.
Drop the motor 4 inches add 4 inches to ram tubes and it would look exactly the same?correct?with nothing protruding just like he designed it.
Funny how these "new" tab tech ,was on model airplanes in the 50's if not sooner? Will be a "great " car when done.😁
he's a genius...
This is the guy.
GENIUS, PURE GENIUS!
sir can you give me a chance work with you?
What kind of crazy bastard makes a car body out of magnesium? I'd hate to get in an accident in one of those. For those of you who don't know, magnesium is extremely flammable and it burns HOT.
would Lov to work with Him.
Randy.. I hope you got rid of that automatic transmission!
the Atlantique is Aluminum...only the Aerolithe was Magnesium
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍
Diana doors had a delay
The motorcycle needs a bigger exhaust...
+TRUTH SEEKER It is a pulse jet, which is essentially cyclic combustion happening inside an exhaust pipe
I'd cover those air intakes.
So it's a sort of a Morgan diy thing?
+Tag 915 Token Pratt, thanks for coming, and going
WAOW ! this is so hot!

WHAT DID I JUST WATCH
Awesome car, and engine but not much of a shop tour.
+blazemaestro1 You really want to blaze through in 13 minutes, what would you see?
Nice but you need to not lose to Lott of money
