The Oldsmobile Toronado was a front wheel drive vehicle, not four wheel drive. Another unique feature of the car is that the transmission and engine were linked together with a multisprocket chain drive.

Ignore the other reply, the reason 17 h.p. sounds so anemic is the engine is actually 569 cubic CENTIMETERS, which makes 17 h.p. sound not so anemic in its day. He also blew it calling one other engine as being c.i. that was c.c.
In addition to stating the chassis layout of the Morgan 3-wheeler wrong, (it has TWO front wheels, and one rear wheel, video states the opposite), it also got the engine wrong, it stated a 4-cylinder side-valve Ford engine. All Morgan 3-wheelers until he recently released new generation Morgan have V-twins. Various engines were used throughout the years, JAP, Matchess, and S&S to name a few. The most recent model has a modern Ford 3-cylinder normally aspirated engine (DOHC).
If you are going to use an AI to generate the script, at least FACT CHECK the results. Besides the Morgan description as having a 4-cylinder Ford engine rather than what is OBVIOUSLY a V-twin, the Topolino and NSU Spyder have exactly the same description of their features, and both are entirely works of fiction. Reclining front seats? Three wave radio?
Both the Fiat Topolino and the NSU Spyder are described as having engine sizes in cubic inches. This AI narration should have described the engine sizes in cubic centimetres!
Please note the following HUGE ERROR at 10'31" (Engine dispoacement of the NSU Spider) saying it was 497 cubic inches (fourhundred and ninetyseven) which equals 0.5liters(!!!). 497 cu inches would equal 8.144liters and not 0.5 liters!!! (i.e. ZERO point FIVE liters). For your information the NSU Spider's engine engine displacement was 61 cubic inches which equals 1 liter (or, exactly 996 cubic cenetimeters) Please check your data before publishing INCORRECT (and stupid) information!!!!!
Number one the Oldsmobile Toronado Jay Leno should be horse whipped because of what he did to this car. It WAS front wheel drive. He had it reconfigured to a rear wheel drive, Other than the styling of the body there's nothing unique about this car. Still don't understand why he felt he had to change it.
What in Hell is a "3-way radio'? You used the term in two different auto descriptions. Also, the Olds Toronado was FRONT wheel drive, not "4 wheel drive" as stated in the narration..
The commentary of this video needs re-recording. It's full of mistakes and misinformation. From confusing cubic centimeters with cubic inches to misplacing the engine location to even getting a wheel arrangement mixed up. In some cases, the narrator even contradicts his own narrative.
I love Jay Leno's collection of cars, but the descriptions in this piece are garbage. After describing the Morgan 3-wheeler as having a single front wheel and 2 rear wheels and using a 4 cyl. engine I had to stop watching.
Morgan - and several other English companies - made 3-wheelers for one very simple reason. The English road tax system, which was based on weight and horsepower - for cars. But, there was a loophole in the system; if the 4-wheeler car weighed less than 1 cwt. (1100 lbs.), or it was a 3 wheeler? It was taxed as a motorcycle. And, the road tax for a motorcycle was... well, it was basically pocket change. The fact that some of the Morgans were very sporty, was just icing on the cake. As for the little lightweight cars? They're known as "'cyclecars", and while nowhere as popular now, as they used to be? Yeah, some small companies still make them, even though the Road Tax was revised in the early 1960's. Why? 'Cause they're just fun....
21:55 it's curious that you made no mention of Jay Leno's 1967 Toronado, which he heavily modified to sit on two modified Corvette chassis, powered by an 1100 hp Chevy experimental small block engine.
The Oldsmobile Toronado was a front wheel drive vehicle, not four wheel drive. Another unique feature of the car is that the transmission and engine were linked together with a multisprocket chain drive.
No, no. The Morgan Three Wheeler has two front wheels and one rear wheel. You got it backwards.
And it uses a 2 cylinder engine, not a flathead 4 as described.
LMAO
Not if driven backwards, I say this video is correct. 🤨
Didn't have a ford engine I believe they had aJap engine
It’s a matchless v twin engine
What an error filled commentary.
^^ So many comments saying essentially this, yet so few 👎 down votes.
Addon - 'Show the youtube dislikes'. I know for sure Firefox has it.
I just like seeing these unique automobiles. If I want accurate information, I will check out Jay Leno's garage.
Wow. Almost everything in this video is incorrect.
It's on purpose so you respond
There are many incongruities between the narration and images shown.
Yeah! It would be nice if the vehicle being displayed didn't change during a specific narration.
The Oldsmobile Toronado was a front wheel drive vehicle, not four wheel drive. Another unique feature of the car is that the transmission and engine were linked together with a multisprocket chain drive.
I guess the Cord wasn't a 4-wheel drive either then... Wasn't that the go to car for off roading in the old days? :^)
@@PhilipSanfilippo Right, you are.

Evidently Leno has a different car. His is a Tahpolino not a Topolino! LOL

There were so many mistakes in this. Leno used the body of the Toronado, but put a C6 Corvette chasis under it with a 1000 hp engine .

haha! "AI"???? It is obviously Artificial STUPIDITY - and the only thing more STUPID is the person/narrator using it! 😆
Both the Fiat Topolino and the NSU Spyder are described as having engine sizes in cubic inches. This AI narration should have described the engine sizes in cubic centimetres!
One of the errors .. topolino Engine displacement: 34.7 cu-in / 569 cm3
Horsepower: 17 HP / 17 PS / 13 kW,,,
So is the Volga poorly assembled or durable?

Was the narrator on commission for how many times he could say the make and model of each entry?
What in hell is a "tree way radio"?
Thanks I was worried that stuff from the 60's was kicking in again.

Learn the difference between cubic inches and cubic centimeters.
Cant tell his CID from his CCs, this is an insult to Jay Leno!!!
NO cubic inches in a Toppolino
The Morgan 3 Wheeler had a V-Twin not a 4-cylinder
So many basic, obvious mistakes.
Kay's driving the Morgan backwards. 😉
The Morgan , wouldn't it be good idea to look at the film before , start talking ????!
it would be nice if you could get the specs. correct
"Under the hood"? The engine in the Morgan isn't covered by a hood.

😂 as Bugs Bunny would say what a maroon, god so many f ups

ALL BARNACLES AND NO BOAT COMMENTARY.

I believe that Jay Leno converted his Toronado to rear wheel drive

Im surprised more people didnt but those bug block little cars back in the day.
Five-hundred cubic engine in a Topolina? I doubt that.
Oregon two wheels in the front one wheel in the back you dolt
Those little European cars had some mightily sized engines, but they were pathetic in power.
I believe the Morgan is a 2 cylinder car and you seem to confuse cubic inches for cubic centimeters in several engine sizes. Good video otherwise.
Also, it was described as a single wheel in front and two in the rear which is, of course, just the opposite of its layout.
Well scripted. 🙄🤣
😂😂😂😂
I'm not going to reward this poor performance, dislike and block channel.
