Thank you dear Azadmator for remembering GM Zia who left us very early. I played against him in a banter chesss in 1993 and had been trounced brutally. The memory is still vivid. Praying for the salvation of his departed soul.
Long time subscriber from Bnagladesh, nice to see you covering him, when we were young it was his name that got me in chess, and many other in Bangladesh. we owe him, a lot. Thank you. it means a lot Antonio.
I have been following you for maybe 3/4 years now, and seeing this commemorative video from my country’s GM is absolutely touching. Thanks for covering this masterclass from the bottom of my heart, Agad. ❤
I am from USA and have also followed this channel for many years. I am always impressed by the comments here. So many beautiful peoples and cultures represented here. Humbled to be able to share and learn with you all. My condolences on the loss of this great man.
I have been following your channel for the last 7/8 years too. In fact, my passion for chess begun only after I accidentally stumbled upon your channel in UA-cam. Thank you Antonio for presenting us the beauty of chess.
Thank you Agad for giving tribute to one of our great. Zia vai was not only a good chess player but also a great human being. What Anand did for India he did it for is.
They say that Capablanca died while kibbitzing a skittles match. I had no idea what that even meant until I looked it up, but he basically died while watching and analyzing a game during a chess tournament.
Going through some tough times in my life. Can't focus on anything or anyone. This video is not very cheerful, but your content gives me peace. It's like an oasis I can always escape to. Thank you for that, zemljače... ❤
Once I witnessed a game of GM Zia. His opponent reached after 45 minutes. But GM Zia urged the host not to deduct time from opponent and initiate the game from beginning.
Very few GM's are there in Bangladesh, We are not that strong internationally also the root level Championships speaks the same, but among them Ziaur Rahman and Niaz Murshed were the brightest stars that shine through chess in our country. A GREAT LOSS 😪 Thanks Agadmator for sharing his journey. Much appreciated ❤
Respect and condolences from India. Peace to the maestro on his soul's eternal journey, and strength to his family. May his life and work continue to inspire new chess talent in Bangladesh. Thanks Antonio for covering this.

Dear Agad, I am a big fan of the way you present all the chess matches. Today, I am really very glad that you presented this match. I am from Bangladesh, and it is good to see this match on your channel. We have lost our pride. May Allah bless him.
Poker has it's dead man's hand, I suppose chess could have a dead man's position, but a number of people died while playing chess. 50 years is too young! I am 59, such news makes me feel more mortal than usual. Try to enjoy each day, you have, that's for sure. A nice tribute I think, to cover a game from this GM.
@@sbosboniso7036 Well, legend has it, that Wild Bill Hickock was murdered, while holding Aces and Eights ( two pair.) True or not, that's the traditional dead man's hand in my experience.
Hi, we are proud that you covered Bangladesh's grandmaster Ziaur. Please cover more of him as well others grandmasters from Bangladesh. Take love from Bangladesh.
I've been lucky enough to have coworkers from Bangladesh, and to meet twice Nobel winner Dr. Yunus back in Paris, feel sad for the great Bengladeshi people😢
Charles Dickens died while working on his final novel "The Mystery of Edwin Drood". Many decades later, David Madden completed the novel. I wonder if Mr. Rahman's game will ever be completed by anyone? #suggestion How about a one-off tournament where top Bangladeshi players try to finish the game in a double round robin, once with White and once with Black.
I was playing a tournament once and I was playing an important game I felt like my heart was going to stop chess can cause a heart attack sometimes and so many people died while playing a chess game
Thank you for covering this so wonderfully agadmator. And also for pronouncing the names correctly. May his soul rest in peace. Sending love and respect for him and his family.
Thank you for presenting our bangladeshi great. Chess is a difficult game. It takes too much thinking. Even Magnus is trying to take some less pressure by leaving the Chess championship. So he could have quit and spent time with his family. Condolences for his family.
Something I’m wondering is since the tournament game came to a halt due to his stroke, what’s the result of the game for his opponent? Does his opponent gain any points or is the game voided? RIP to Rahman regardless, it at least happened doing something he loved I imagine
Very sad news I met him in Alekhine chess club gorky sadan kolkata west bengal india while he was a guest coach in that club.very nice man he was rest in peace
As a proud Bangladeshi American, I was so saddened to hear GM Zia’s death. I was going to request Antonio to do a video on one of his matches. No doubt. A true winner.
I wonder what’s causing so many recent abnormal deaths lately… Hmmm… what could it be…?
