In my experience, strictly as an amateur chess player, it's one thing to outplay your opponent and be in a somewhat "won" position, and proceed from there and actually checkmate your opponent. After you get the winning position, you cant mentally let down on your level of play. Your opponent goes into a defensive strategy. You could make the claim that a winning position isnt necessarily going to be an easy win.

Brutal. Tal isn't usually considered a positional player except he is. He understands positional chess so well he knows what positions are worth a sacrifice to create. He inverted positional chess theory into an offensive mode. That is what makes him a genius.

Wow. Tal was casually brutal. Keres had no idea what was coming (and neither did I - that goes without saying). The queen and two rooks somehow took absolute control. 'The best defense is a strong offense' has always been the motto.

6:51 It's will to capture the Bishop with Bishop
    Bxg4 Nxg4
    Rxg4+ Qxg4
    Rg1 Queen is pin
It will end up with Queen vs 2 Rocks
    But white's position is better

Dear Agadmator, thanks for your work , your way to talk about chess and explaining the back ground of each game is amazing, but could you please take a look on the playlist section because its very hard to find something there. I was looking for the Tal playlist but still didnt find it, I am not even sure its still there. Thanks to you, take care

6:52 That's not the only option. After Bxg4, Nxg4, Rfxg4!, Qxg4, there's Rg1, and black have to sacrifice the queen. I know it's the queen for the two rooks, but black pawn structure is not impresing anyone, not to mention the dangerous white passed h pawn. The engine says it's still close to equal.

    • @nagahumanbeingzooofparticl8836

No coz after rook to g4, queen gives a check on f3, forking the rook at the same time, king only move f1, queen takes rook on g4. Rook on a1 can't move to g1 coz king is blocking on f1 after moving from black queen check on f3
