Nathan Johnson- Take another look at the riverboat figures (as well as other places in the ride such as the Brer Bear strung up in the rope trap), there are quite a LOT of broken animatronic figures that are supposed to move but don't. Disneyland's Splash Mountain has been in this condition for many months now (one hopes the upcoming refurb fixes these similar to WDW's recent massive fix up). These issues may be at least partially traced to Disneyland inheriting Animal Kingdom's old president Michael Colglazier earlier this year. It would appear that he brought over some of his more unfortunate philosophies of lax park maintenance that has plagued Animal Kingdom for years under his reign (see the broken Yeti animatronic on Expedition Everest that has remained unworking for years as well as all the missing effects on Dinosaur).
We got lucky news the re-themeing is going to happen after 2023 and there is possible reopening for Disneyland so it's a win-win and you'll be able to ride the right before it's gone
I enjoy getting wet very much, because Splash ⛰ never stops cooling people down on hot days. It's so sad that I'm unable to board it with my dad's supervision, because coronavirus has entered the picture. People are getting sick with it as we speak. 🥂🥂🥂
You should see the creepy pasta of this by mr. Nightmare it takes the fun out of this I dare u guys to watch the entire thing without freaking out IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
Well, they aren't going to change the ride right away. Disney did say that they will open the parks with the original version of the ride to give guests time to ride it at least one more time before they change it.
