this is one of the most imaginative rides ever :D it was always my favorite. Plus, it's a good long ride- unlike other rides that are over in a matter of seconds!
Fantastic camera work! The Disney World version was the first dark ride I'd ever been on. Completely fell in love with it. Dark rides are great. :)
Brer Rabbit sounds suspiciously like Wakko Warner though.
As a matter of fact, the actor, Jess Harnell, who voiced Wakko Warner also voiced Brer Rabbit. Just a fun little fact :)

DUDE! This camerawork is amazing!!!!! I have a slight Disney obsession so i watch videos of rides al lthe time, and this, by FAR, is the best i've seen!! No one can ever catch the scene with all of the neon lights! You're amazing!!! Looking forward to more Disneyland videos ;)

I'm sort of glad the Magic Kingdom version cut that part that starts at 6:26. The two undertaker vultures are creepy enough - did we really need THAT? I do miss Brer Fox's shadow on the wall, though.

The only reason the possum and the other rabbits are there is because they needed to do SOMETHING with the America Sings animatronics.
+Bannar I actually like that scene a lot, I was somewhat disappointed that the Magic Kingdom version didn't have it.

The clay of the ride queue's cave wall on 0:35 also resembles Louisiana's clay soil besides Georgia's red clay soil, due to the Critter Country part where Splash is located is next to New Orleans Square and the area is rather bayou-ish.m
The queue building of Splash's queue also resembles Louisiana's swamp cabin.

Splash Mountain included a good many of the audioanimatronic figures previously found on America Sings. Now that Splash Mountain s being remade into Tiana's Bayou from The Princess And The Frog, I wonder if they'll recycle those figures again. I guess we'll find out.

But for subsequent Splash Mountains (WDW and Tokyo Disneyland's version), the second feel of Splash after Georgia, which is for the area, is AZ instead of Louisiana, and the soundtracks are using country-western style with banjos and harmonicas.

I noticed on Disneyland's you're much closer to the animatronics than the one in Florida... Is that just me or...?
Based on video that I've seen, I'd say some of the characters seem to be closer. I think the ones at the end are.
What did they do with eagle Sam from America sings? I doesn't find him in this Attraction!
He wasn't used because he was a theme character and he can't really be put into splash mountain looking natural, so he's either sulked up somewhere deep in storage or he's been gutted of his robotic parts which may have been used for something else, much like the geese who were put into Star Tours or Big Al at the country bear jamboree being converted to Oogie for Haunted Mansion Holiday.

At the end of the ride, there was one alligator missing
This ride seems so much longer in the disney world version, by at least a few minutes. But i liked the scene in the dark at the end much better on this version
the florida one isn't largers, the los goes more slower than disneyland logs i know the florida versión its a bit better

right now the wheel is not lighting up and they just refurbished since april, like what the heck! they could've change the lights into something different or fixing the boat that it would move again

I can handle all the weird animatronics, but not that drop. My husband and I will be there tomorrow through Sunday, I know I'll have to ride it, and that drop will be the longest sickest five seconds of my life. I'm a wuss, and one California Screamin' and one Tower of Terror was enough for me, thanks...
This ride does not deserve change! There’s nothing in this ride that makes it racist. Sure it comes from Song of the South but no slaves were put in the ride nor the Tar Baby! Besides how is the Tar baby racist when the baby literally is made out of Tar? Also the film is after the civil war and after the slaves were free!
