- We've been through a drought of sorts with Resident Evil, but it looks like 2025 and beyond is looking absolutely amazing for the series. Capcom has a lot of Resident Evil developments going on, and with Resident Evil 9 getting amazing news recently, along with incredible updates for Resident Evil and VR, in addition to numerous remakes reportedly in the works and much more, the future of Resident Evil in 2025 and beyond is looking absolutely incredible for the series.

RE Code Veronica remake is necessay because it's simply one of the best games of the entire series.
Let's hope that RE9 will bring back more horror into the franchise. With RE5 Remake on the horizon - we can expect a more action packed future.

They should remake RE original. I know that we already have a remake but there are a lot of things they could add: Jill and Chris working as STARS, Mansion with modern graphics and gameplay, Wesker and UMBRELLA, etc

I don't know if they could replicate the actual feel of that game. For me, there are two things that the RE remake has that no other RE game has, and that's saying something. They are:
1. Extremely eerie horror vibe.
2. Having to be very careful with ammo.
These two combine to create an RE game like no other. The reason why I say that they might not be able to replicate the feeling of this game in a remake is because most of the eerie horror vibes comes from it's dated graphics. The old graphics gives it a pretty vintage horror feel to it that I feel would be very difficult to replicate with new graphics.
they should definitely remake re1!! I watched my uncle play the original on the ps4 but could never get into it. the controls are just so bad!! the first game I played was re2 and it was amazing!! they definitely should remake re1 to be more like the newer games in the series!!

I do not want another 1st person RE game. I always thought part of the charm of the games was being able to see your characters. I want to see Leon, Chris, Jill or Claire, not just their hands. I feel it's more impactful especially when I see the characters getting bit by a zombie or dying. If they could make the camera an option, that would be nice.
Though 7 was a creative and interesting take on the series, it felt more like a spin off rather than a main series title to me

Jake/sherry and leon/claire sequel ( Dont attack me for jake and sherry they are related to the greatest antagonist in RE so a game with them would make bank if they pull it off right)

What I noticed lately is remake, remake, new game,remake. So my guess next game might be a remake from the looks on how they are releasing the games
I’d be happy with a re1 remake for the 30th. The games perfect as is but wouldn’t mind the controls updated with the over the shoulder.
My idea for a future boss fight,
Ozwell Spencer reanimated with evrey bio weapon parasite and virus (mold, plaga, cadou, uruborus, c and g virus, T, Veronica and abyss virus, and others) with the first phase having Spencer's reanimated corpse dressed like a darksouls boss using tendrils claws and other things, the final phase has him turn into a cethulu like creature
With everything Village did for the lore? Honestly, I’m the MOST excited for the remake of Zero. It could go from being one of the most, “meh,” (personally I adore that game, and I find it one of the most fun to play) in terms of the community’s view at large to being one of the best.
If anything deserves the biggest overhaul? It’s Zero; meanwhile, you could largely leave Code Veronica untouched and everyone would still love it.
EDIT: Considering what 7/Biohazard did for the series? And, considering that the REmake of 2 seems to have the best reviews and the most amount of reviews (and it’s the best selling last I checked a couple months ago)? In lieu of that?
And, with the dude who created 7 and did design work for 5 at the helm?
RE9 could be legendary.
Also, I hope the open world rumours are true.
Besides the remakes I’m wondering if RE could let us have custom guns in the series starting in RE10. Basically we find junk around the areas and bring it back to whatever gunsmith/shop owner and we can have him turn it into parts or save it up and make a gun out of it but we can only have it made to one class such as normal hand guns or machine guns no rocket launchers that would be cool. I think code Veronica will come out first and then the remake of 0 will happen can’t wait to see the first trailers for 9 and then the 30 year celebration.

Capcom should definitely stop keeping VR exclusive to PS forever. Timed exclusivity ok, but it's a waste not to never release VR modes on PC after a while
My biggest complaint of RE 8 was the game play. It worked for 7 because you it was meant to be a super scary game where you played as this normal guy.
I’m hoping they bring back the stagger effects and critical hits like ins 4 and 5 it can still be scary with more advanced game play than just dumping bullets in enemies.
Being able to Perry Dodge and critically wound staggered enemies made me feel like the game encouraged me to be somewhat skillful in how I play. But they were only necessary on harder difficulty settings.
With RE 8 You just slowly walk away while shooting them a bunch. And on harder difficulty, you just shoot them more. It’s a bit more nuance than that, but not nothing worth mentioning. I guess blocking was better than nothing.
Resident Evil Zero make it CO op great game but the switching would be better to just have a friend just like OutBreak Files need a remake.
I want 9 to finally establish Leon’s love life it’s just never ending it should be Ada but I could see it being Claire

Dead space and evil within were scary as hell when you first play them a few times and evil within 2 was more open world but still scary as hell with the long haired women that just come out of nowhere humming yet it had the upgrading system with health and guns and that's what alot of us as resident evil fans loved was when it got into re4 I didn't like re7 as much as the rest of them I enjoyed re8 but loved it with the expansion to 3rd person cause I hate first person horror games it's crazier when you can see an ax barely hitting your character or popping into the screen and you know that guys right on your ass lmao

8 really was not my cup of tea with it being neither really scary, interesting or featured alot of exploration.
You could see the exploration was sorta fake and you just went from one place to the next.
The puzzles also sucked.
The only good part was the basement with the baby please more of that and less hot vampire lady in 9 please.
