Nice job that. Enjoying this build. Look forward to next install. Mentioning yer mistakes is refreshing to hear from a UA-camr and admitting the budget constraints . You are for real sir. Many thanks .
I think Will whereabouts did the bed the same way as you from Ikea & if you go back to Ikea you can get a cheap units for the kitchen as well in the Bargain part
Great video, but why mount the bed widthwise? It is clearly not wide enough for your body length. Have you tried leaving the SKORVA beams across the width, but orientating the mattress lengthwise?
Bish bash bosh bed done 👍and a decent sized one at that, Stage 1 complete 🎉 Keep a micro fibre towel in the back when you sleep in it pre insulation for the condensation also gas cooker will add to that. Where and when is the diesel heater going in? It will make a load of difference, being able to lounge in shorts & T in all weathers. Any plans for a Scotland trip? Atb John 🏴
I’d say if you plan to have multiple outlets (4+)and depending on length air has to travel maybe the larger one will be better. Glencoe is stunning,I’ve stayed at the ski centre, glen ettive,An tor & at glencoe lochan(hight barrier, I’m a low roof) 👍
howdy do. the bed is looking great. I'll hold my hands up and say Ive got a fully converted 2017 vivaro. I took her away for the first time the other day and first thoughts were, shes fab but.....gonna need a bigger van. I'm already looking at selling my house, and trading my van in for a decent crafter and living in it. I'll see what you do with yours and see what your conversion ends up like. Bessy regs-Kenny
Obviously up to you but just a Idea think before you put window in everyone puts big windows in and if we were doing what your doing now. We would say little windows warmer winter.cooler summer and more stealth no one can see in.. pull up blinds. Good luck can't wait to see what's next
Got a Crafter and looked at the bed beams. You do not even need to drill holes and use brackets. The beams sit over the edge of the metal lip where the window panel is. By the time you screw slats to the bars that frame is going nowhere
Hi mate. So. This video have me inspiration to do this to my van. I've got the mid beam and the slats. But where donu get the brackets to mount the mid beams please help!!!
Hey, I had a look at the beams at ikea the other day. How is it holding up? I didn't see very good reviews on it, and the ones on th me shelf looked a bit warped. It's a great idea if it holds up. I want to do it like yours, but strap all the slats together and just hold the four corner slats to the beams by dropping a bolt through . So I could take the bed out in two mins with no tools.
Why not add pully wheels underneath the bed frame either side of the corners then you can pull it up to the roof then when your not use it the bed build seat underneath it makes more space seen a video somebody has done that looks class
literally just looked down the comments and found them on ebay... such a donut great video though i actually feel confident about building my bed now xxx
King size?? takes going to take up so much needed living space and in turn give u a very big garage, if you are going to live in it you need as much space or feel of space as you can, I also took the shower out of mine because I used it once in 8 months, showers are very easy to find plus its also very easy to keep clean with out one, but hey its your van so your rules, it was just an observation on my part,
If I got a shower in mine then I wouldn't go to the gym haha but I got the lwb just to have a kingsize . Still leaves me with more extra space then a double in a mwb
Great video, absolutely love your no bullsh*t approach, this has really helped me and I now feel confident installing the skorva beams myself 😊
That’s a clever way of doing bed frame, so easy.
Definatly strong. Hope your well my friend

Man, THANK YOU for this. I was looking for a way on YT to install a bed that I can uninstall easily.
Great idea!!! Are going to have to dismantle it to sound proof? Are you going for a TV or a portable projector ?
This is my kinda build, brilliant mate proper layman's terms 👏 👌
Great video! Do you mind me asking where you bought the mattress from? Cheers 😊
Its coming along nicely
Awsome work, king size bed lol now your taking it to another level. Great job mate

Great video man. Thanks very much.

Did you buy the brackets at ikea?

We're planning 3 builds within the next 12 months. 1st is budget just to get me back in the van. 2nd is higher quality and 3rd will be epicly amazing
@@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES I'll look forward to watching all three.

Like watching you wish you video were longer . interesting clever and funny.

@@leelewis4943 my worry was them sliding and damaging the outside skin panal
@@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES I did think that too but once fitted and screwed with slats I cannot see it being able to move
Hi mate. So. This video have me inspiration to do this to my van. I've got the mid beam and the slats. But where donu get the brackets to mount the mid beams please help!!!
Nice one. Do the brackets come with the skorva beam?
No but you cN get in touch with ikea and say the best didn't come with them and they will send them to you or I just got mine on ebay
Hey, my question is about the walls weight limit, I'm building the same bed, but with 5 instead 3, so, can the walls support an amount of 250 kg?

So far it's doing great but I've only spend 4 nights on it . No problems so far
How did you get the brackets ? Went to IKEA and they say they don't sell them separately
Looking good 👍
Thanks a million

Did you find them?
@anonscot-qi3rk yeah, I ordered them off Amazon unfortunately
