Oh that make sense
SoCal Attractions 360 ummm the Orlando universal studios is way better and higher u should go there
SoCal Attractions 360 I went on this ride and it was a really good experince
of all the povs out there this is the clearest and easiest to whats going on at the end....none of the others even show the trexes legs

The lights were turned off that’s why
Dark Doge X-s Tech no it was just the lights in the room were turned off. You can see now they’re turned on
Agree
@@alexhein6386 oh, my bad. We all know that this channel is known for their amazing low light camera work.
I wish they had kept those two dinosaurs fighting over the popcorn bucket. That was humorous and my favorite.
Compys! They were cool
MytokyokittyStudios in Orlando it was scraps of a shirt
That was so iconic haha
Me too ❤ :(
Wait I don’t remember that part
I mean there are some problems with the ride but the biggest has to be the fact that you no longer hear "Welcome to Jurassic Park" when the ride starts. That part gives me goosebumps
The Jurassic park in Orlando keeps it more Traditional like the older movies
My favorite part was the doors opening and seeing those beautiful dinosaurs as the theme plays.
And now i dont want to go that is one of my main reasons to go
@@eveequinn733 For me, it was the huge dinosaurs eating the plants as the theme was playing. Now you just go into a mosasuar tank with no theme, less majestic.
The T Rex comes out way too early and there should be some rainfall and fog so you don’t notice he is magically floating in air.
Omg Yuri in your photo profile 😂😂😂
They have that at the one in Orlando but it does not have all the video screens and things like that but at least we don’t have T.rex jesus
that yuri photo just made me SCREAM
Spring Lady you are definitely right, but maybe he comes out early so the riders have more adrenaline before the drop, like they’re about to get eaten by the dinosaur.
When you’re actually on the ride, it doesn’t seem to be floating like this.
I'm impressed and glad they kept the ride mostly animatronic. When I saw the videos screens for the aquarium at the beginning I was like, oh here we go again.
Nicholas haha
Agreed. The Fast and the Furious ride is a disgrace, mostly because it's all screens.
Nicholas agreed. Was disappointed Skull Island Reign IG Kong was basically the same screen show from the tram tour. I think this use of screens is appropriate though, cause the Mosasaurus is such a cool addition in the movies and there’s no way to make an animatronic of it that’d always be in water. Plus the water splashing effects are a nice tough.
Ikr
Agreed
The old one was more scarier to me, I’ve experienced it first hand.
Are there videos of the original attraction?

i loved that part so much
Swing by Orlando! It’ll be there
"Baby stegosaurus... one of our latest additions." Been there for 22 years bud.
Really? Man, I haven't been going enough because I've never seen it lol.
Exactly what I said lmao.
Oh no see, the baby stegosaurus is actually the grandchild of the original stegosaurus /s
Feeling better?
They meant it like it was a new breed not like a new part of the ride
I know these dinos aren't real, but it still makes me happy to see them. I love dinos 🦕
t rex without the heavy rainfall and smoke effect.... just doesn't give that same creepy vibe
It looks like the T-Rex is floating in mid-air it just comes out of nowhere and it's hovering it doesn't look like it's standing on anything.😂
Musta been broken
Greyson J to me it does lol
ik and because its a older animatronic it does not fit with the new cool indominus rex
I don't know if they got rid of that waterfall effect or they just turned it off in this certain pov, but after watching this vid again, I just noticed that the waterfall did have a purpose in the old Jurassic Park ride, that purpose being to hide the T-Rex and until the boats got close enough so it could part ways and let the T-Rex crash in. Now you can see the T-Rex in the shadows, which sounds menacing, but you can see his head is facing down and the illusion of it being real is almost gone.
Definitely the clearest of videos, why is the t-rex levitating?
That's always been the case since the original ride, just in that one the Rex only appeared AS you went down the slope, so you didn't get time to notice (theoretically)
It could be the low light from the video, which we wouldn’t usually see with the naked eye. The indoor portion of the ride is much darker in other videos. Great filming as always though 👌🏼
Its flying... remember that they are the ancestors of the birds.... :)
Antony Muscat I just watched a video a minute before this one, the last half was pitch black.
It has never made any sense, this is a multi-billion dollar studio with an incredibly valuable franchise and they wernt able to fix this rides original sin during refubishment....could have easily rigged the t-rex to slide out straight and dip to make it look like it wasnt rocking into place...ugh, sorry, ive been triggered now..
7:58 Blue's acting is pretty good 😆
Fun fact: The Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios Hollywood cost more than the actual movie.
wow!

Yes, I suppose the brightness is a nice touch, but I prefer it dark at the end of the ride. The brightness just gives away the surprising and unexpected thrills.
BTW, I left a comment on the "Discussion" section of your UA-cam channel.
The T Rex coming out like that really made be laugh 😂 maybe when actually riding it doesn’t look quite so ridiculous
I dont know why they change that part. On the OG, it was timed to look like the T Rex swooped out and was going to eat you and the dramatic fall was how you got out alive!
He just looks like he is straight chillin in the air. Lol
It’s flying lol
It’s when rexy gets a hold of creative mode.
It looks just as silly when riding it.
Honestly when I went on i didn’t pay attention I was getting ready for the drop 😂
So Chris Pratt has the best of both worlds, one ride at Disneyland and another at universal
Haha
Oh that’s right. Forgot about that.
Wait thsley dont have one in disney tho
Allyson Estes You know he stars in other movies besides Jurassic World, right?
I'm glad they kept most of the original ride animatronics
Edit: except the Brachiosaurus may they be remembered
They needed to keep them in imo, tbh..
Kaiju Former well, they’re not brachiosaurus but ultrasaurus
Bruh that thing was always broken, I'm glad they took it out. The underwater was a cool idea
Darn it. Sauropods are my favorite. |:(
I'll never forget the first time I rode it as a kid and it was an unforgettable moment when they rose up. Grandiose. I do remember the weird, kinky neck from when I was older, but it's not part of that original memory. I wonder if I was seeing it through kid tinted goggles or if it developed over time with wear and tear. I would love to see some kind of longneck added to the ride eventually.
Old or new I’ve always loved how they executed this ride. Even if you know what’s going to happen you can’t not feel absolute joy seeing the “good” dinosaurs which makes the scary parts all the more brilliant
They go through all this work and the T-Rex is still floating.
He is god
NeelTheSphynx omg it’s a ride you act like it’s a movie.. it’s not even a big deal.
@@Ihsuz In a ride it's a lot more important. You see everything. In movies, you don't.
NeelTheSphynx its just a ride lmao
ShyGuy Eats pie nope, its suppose to feel real... maybe a darker room and problem is solve :)
Great video but the new ride is so lame in comparison to the old one! There was really tension and horror with the T. rex and the raptors escape
ZAID- *POINTS GUN* WHAT DID YOU SAY?! ⊙V⊙
I don’t agree
Cause they knew it was going to be to much to replace anything now like wth everyone is know making fun at the T. rex at hate to the ride so what
And*
Nebuladesign people wanna go on a ride with a good drop, tension and somewhat of a story they can somewhat put themselves in even for only a few minutes. I like the improvements of the surroundings and the area but overall classics are just pure nostalgia everyone can enjoy. I’m pretty sure a lot of people would agree so I had to at least put that out there.
*Even though I’m not on the ride, I still got childhood anxiety. I almost fell off that thing once. I was literally floating....*

Wolfy Angel I know what ride you’re talking about, I was in the front seat and there was nothing holding me down, I only had something to hold onto, I was in the air during the drop, biting the side of my mouth hoping that I didn’t fall out. They seriously need to update that.

Just watched a video from the Jurassic Park ride back in 1997 and it was so much better!!
In this new ride I only enjoyed the beggining with the mosasaurus. It was a pretty cool visual effect.
I’m so glad I rode this before they Upgraded it
They kinda more Downgraded it then Upgraded it tho tbh
@Germoney814 yeah ive never seen a dinosaur animatronic so big which could move almost the entire body
So it's basically the Jurrasic Park ride with a different sign and some new dinosaurs.
Stacey Marie and a different forest and completely different.
Well yes but no
Stacey Marie what else do you want? Dragons and aliens?
It's the same guts as the original ride .. same track, same layout just face lifted what it is.
They were too lazy to even get rid of the old raptor pen from the Jurassic Park ride
Predator cove is so dry they should've put dinosaurs there
that's the point, it makes it more exciting, not knowing what you're gonna see inside.

I agree, Eric Andre!
I hate how they ruined the flow of the ride. There's no suspense and half the ride is boring, literally an eyesore
I'm glad I experienced the original ride. It's not gonna be the same riding this :(
The original jurassic park ride is still in orlando.
I couldn't agree more!! 👍💯
The first ride was genius and thrilling fun with nice steady build up with the herbivores, as said by John hammond "we spared no expense"
The new ride, we got a screen module the squirts water😓 the herbivore scene is shortened and everything else is just a jurassic world rehash of what the original ride was! In short.... They spared EVERY EXPENSE!!!! Seriously even the Flintstones wouldn't be impressed by this nonsense 😓🙄
6:20 this is brilliant. Everyone is focused on that T-Rex, looking up, not noticing the cart will drop down lmaoooo
um... i think they notice the giant fucking drop. they're also probably confused on how the t-rex is floating
@@MrAnimason Nah I've been on the ride, you don't notice the drop until the last second. It's quick
Can expect much more from that place
Das Dovian exactly and the t-Rex doesn’t appear to be floating like it is on this video either.
Right after the big uphill there is an illusion like your gonna drop but then you dont but like 10 seconds later the drop happens and it comes really by surprise if you were never on the ride
I think it’d be really cool if they had all four raptors present in the raptor encounter.
The Potted Piranha Plant it would, but sadly universal can't add too many dinosaurs into it or else it'll probably mess up the whole ride
@@sleepparalysisdemon383 bruh he meant for raptor encounter idiot
This ride used to be so much scarier. The T rex no longer looks scary and I thought it was a darker setting at the end.
Remember when there was a box hanging over you at one point and it would fall slightly once you were under it? They made too many alters 😔
Why you gotta complain tho
@@JohnGannucci who’s complaining? I’m glad they still have the ride lol
@@JohnGannucci NEW is not always GOOD or BETTER....🤷♀️
@Jackson Keller I rode it again in 2012 and it was trash, it was super bright in that part and you could see the T-Rex standing there like an idiot lmao
Before we enter the predator cove They should add a death for the guider like with him screaming when the dinosaurs are eating him and then end with a beeeep
I think I prefer the original version better. The animatronics were nice but it was kinda boring overall.
It need some padding before the inside section. I understand that they probably used most of the budget for the indoor section and the big whale thing at the beginning but I really don't understand why they left the middle so empty. I was thinking a quick fix would be to have the trees at the empty t-rex enclosure move from back to front towards the boat and then have a small animatronic pop up at the broken barrier, wouldn't even need to be a t-rex, just something to keep people pleased.
Yeah even though it was just another screen it was a cool idea and showed promise. But the ride continued and it was just like oh...okay.
It's called building suspension. Also that area is empty anyway for the Florida and Japan parks except for a crate jump scare.
@@kevinkrupski246 the suspense doesn't really start till the boat begins going up
For the beginning part, I'd have had more of the glass crack, and more over-spill of the water, and then when the beast went under the ride, I'd have had a miny-wave device set up to create some waves, or had some small cannons set up to make the affect like he's under the boat, or have the boat rock/nudged. Something along those lines.
Now eventually you might have dinosaurs on your, on your dinosaur tour, right? Hello? yes?

I feel like it could've been better with more detail, even while using the original layout of the ride. The addition of the Mosasaur is cool, very well done. Animatronics look about the same. Blue looks weird... Trike is so cool! To a kid though, this has to be the best thing ever
wish they had a mosasaurus animatronic in the water even if it's just a head trying to eat you that'd be freaking terrifying

Wish they still had the falling car scene, just with a new Jurassic World vehicle!
I don't think that was in one of the newer films though. That's a scene from the first film, and they are clearly adapting more for the newer films.
They took the falling car out a long time ago tho
I went 10 years ago and got to feel like a car was about to fall on me until I noticed the safety cable attached. Lucky for me, I lived without even a scratch being on the ride alone in the front boat on a balmy Sunny early March day with the entire park almost to myself fully operating everything open. It was such an awesome experience and if I remember correctly it was like only $50 to do all the rides multiple times without any lines for 10 hours straight.
@@Worldofourown2024 New Jurassic World Coming To Universal's Islands Of Adventure
@@elvingarcia3010 That sounds so fun. I didn't get to go to theme parks and attractions as a kid, but found myself being a kid for the first time. Universal Studios is the best for real live action magical effects, especially on a balmy sunny Spring day when hardly no people are present, but all rides await welcoming you in with zero wait times. I got to do every attraction in a single action packed day about 10 years ago and need a fix and update. I was sitting in the front yellow boat and enjoying Jurassic Park all by myself. It was so surreal. Hopefully masks and wonky rules don't have to be the main features of the new tourist attraction with a big bold vibrant message soon like, 'the world is now reopen and everyone are welcome to move about the cabin.'

The og ride was better imo i remember riding my first time when i was 5 and being left shitless lol
Fishfan 2 it was better because you were five lol.
I bet if you put a 5 year old on this ride they would be too. All these ppl saying the "og" is better just viewing it with nostalgia goggles on.
@@fightingdreamer123 Or maybe Jurassic Park is simply better than Jurassic World. It really drives me nuts that they decided to rebrand the entire franchise.
The OG was darker and scarier. The new one is more kid friendly. I liked the original better.
Cause you were 5...
If you were 5 in this era, then you'd feel the same..
My problems with it involve the fact the beginning of the ride isn't as immersive as it was originally, from the opening of the gates, to the dialogue from whomever is talking, to the music. It's just not as spectacular and interesting as it was before. I'll admit the underwater screens aren't as horrible as I thought they would be, but are actually pretty realistic and neat. I'm glad they actually had animatronics (Seems to be the original ones at that.) but I wish for more, also neat that they left the raptor cage. What sucks is the throw backs and easter eggs around the 3:54 mark. Originally there was a blocked path to a river that was a call back to the original Jurassic park book, as well as having a damaged boat with little dinos around it. As well as having a mickey mouse hat floating in the water. Aside from that that area is a bit uninspired, as the original had quite a bit from a control room, pipes, dangling boxes with raptors inside, boxes, and dinosaurs which would jump out and spray you with water. When you go up towards the inside of the part there are TV screens and a sign blocking the ceiling and the rest of the hall. In the original ride the vertical pipes and the extended looking hallway created an illusion that looked as if you were going straight up at a 90 degree angle, and going multiple stories into the air. Due to the signs and TV screen you don't get that feeling. The new interior is a bit underwhelming as well, as it's...well I guess it's not bad, just the original had more tension, and was very fear and anxiety inducing with the flashing lights, sirens, bursting pipes, and screams. The countdown was also extremely intense as you know when it hits ten you're going straight down. The indominus rex is an obvious plug, but I never really liked the hybrid story-line of the new movies. I'm super glad that the T-rex is still there, but I think because of the lightning she looks a bit off. Not only that her jaw and head doesn't move around as much as the original. At the end there is also the missing shaving cream can from the original movie. I know, this sort of in-dept essay for a dumb ride is ...well dumb, and I know a lot had to change due to copy right, but fuck you I loved this ride and grew up with it for 25 years, I'm allowed to be picky :Y
Ah yes, 2019, a year where we could actually go out and do stuff without the threat of a virus..
Just two weeks to flatten the curve...just one month to flatten the curve...now it’s been a year...better to wear 2-3 face masks..
It’s gonna reopen but it still won’t be the same
Yeah I'm going in June so I hope it's reopened by then.
Uhhh Meow

Yea I had made a comment about lack of the Indominus Rex on another video cause they just didn’t film it! Only to see he shows up twice lol
Admittedly, the revamp version is missing the payoff.
You get the sense that the tension is rising, while you ride it, but the end feels like it's missing that big "oomph" moment.
I think it's because you can genuinely SEE what's going to happen in front of you. I think they should heavily consider adding MIST, or at least SMOKE effects near the end, to mask the drop. The T-Rex appearing in front and looking like it's floating up there, does not do the ride any favors.
They seriously need to revamp that end part.
ZRovas117 the camera they used picked up a lot of life, it’s very dark in real life and lots of the leaves and things shown are really not visible, including T. rex body
They need to remove this ride put it somewhere else and put back the Jurassic Park ride cause that one was better. This one is pretty bad.

the amount of times ive seen that trex come out the wrong time or the boat freeze for a min before the drop..
babyhols666 it’s supposed to do that, they bring out the trex for longer and earlier to give the idea that the indominous and the rex are about to fight, and they pause the boat so you can watch for a moment. there’s also rumors that they’re adding different animatronics, after all, it’s technical rehearsals

They’ll probably end up merging JW and JP versus completely renaming the island, or just go along with how JW is on the same island as JP like in the first JW movie 🤷🏻♀️ still really early in development so I’m not sure, but since most of the new coaster is on the lake it seems promising that all those trees will be replaced by new JW theming instead of being taken up by the coaster!!
@@jamiepaton9813 I just recently went to the Orlando Universal Park, the original JP area is still intact, but they have construction areas near it. I'm guessing they're leaving JP as is while adding the JW area as well, just so there's at least one JP area. (Disney did the same thing with Tower of Terror in California vs Florida, so that's what I'm hoping for)
@@Blue-hw4vn Apparently they're building a new JW rollercoaster. Fingers crossed 🤞
Nobody ever told me the trex could fly. Good to know
weren't birds evolved from dinosaurs lmao i guess it checks out.
Original ride: as said by John hammond "we spared no expense"
New ride: Spared EVERY expense!
I think the flying trex being so visable is the result of the camera catching a ton of light that you wouldn’t really see in person.
It’s not so visible irl
@@a_cowwithlegs yeah it is, I've noticed that since I was 7 lol.
Still think having Dr. Hammond narrate is better then this generic theme park voice.
The actors dead tho
It wasn't John Hammond, it was Richard Kiley.
John Hammond is canonically dead after the Lost World, as well as the actor who played him.
You are an ignorant
Actually, isn't the voice in the ride Dr. Wu from Jurassic Park and Jurassic World 1 & 2?
OMG THAT LOOKS FUN AS HELL!!
When ever I hear the Jurassic world theme song it just reminds me of the vine..
wHat aRe thOoOose wHaT aRe thOoOose
This is an underrated comment😂
hxneybeee OML I THOUGHT OF THAT TOO
Glad I’m not the only one who thinks this hahaha
How I can tell you’re a young cat 😂
Literally I sing it every time I rode this😂
Why is the T-Rex using a Fly hack?
*ban him*
@hungry dinosaur yes
I know the old one was better but I’d still love to ride this! I love the Jurassic World movies too. And apart from a few things the refurb looks pretty solid.
And btw these things are pretty darn impressive. 7:51
Two things i would fix
1) Make the lights turn red after the dino pops up otherwise there is too much going on and you cannot focus on it or the lights
and 2) you have the T-rex come in way too soon you are looking at the raptor talking it should come out right before you drop when everyone is on edge
I know its unrealistic to change things but if they fix the timing i think it would be way better
That Tricerotops looks so cute and the ride looks awesome!!!
No matter how many times I watch this it is always just as amazing.
As far as new summer rides opening goes; I think I prefer this revamp over Smuggler's Run. Crazy.
Because summer + water
well i assume it's because this has onride animatronics while smugglers run is a simulator, i mean galaxy's edge is building a ride with heavy practical effects and animatorics called "rise of the resistance" but unfortunately it wont open til January of next year (in the west coast anyway, it opens in December for the east coast fans)
I much prefer the original.
The narration from John Hammond, the big OG Gates opening up. The suspense that was built from when you got to the Raptor Cage. The falling Car and the Raptors and the Rex showing up at the end just as you dropped. Man. It truly was perfect. Not to say that this redesign isn't cool or anything but I dont think it was needed unless it was a separate ride or an "add on". There was some opportunity to bring back other dinosaurs and make it "longer". I'd love to see the Spino or something.
I'm just glad I got to go on the original before they redesigned it. Great video!👍 the best POV on this ride for sure.
When I rode this as a 10 year old for the first time it stopped. For five minutes. Right before the huge drop. And the dinosaur. I was scarred. Not to mention the bar didn’t go down all the way.
I promised myself I wouldn't watch any videos and spoil it for myself before we go but I HAD TO!!!
Catricia Alvarez me toooo!!! Im such a Dinosaur Fan I just coulnt resist 😂😂😂
It’s literally the exact same ride lol. How old are you?
@@CommandoIvan some of us havent been to universal at all-
This must be todays stuff. I wanna "meet" live Dino's too tho 😤. 6:56 I almost thought he had a dino snack. But scratch, awww it's a dino baby.
Wow, they refrained from using 3-D screens! Give 'em a round of applause!
That Raptor costume is amazing!
This is the best quality video of the ride. SoCal Attractions 360 has always been the best after many years!
Damn thing opened 3 days after I went to universal and back to Canada 😁
Did you know they added 30 more feet on the fall? So, now there is 81 feet to the fall. Way too high but really fun!
I like the classic ride more, but it looks like a good update with some nice new animatronics. Universal is still in the game for good animatronic-featuring rides! :)
I rode this when it was still Jurassic park and I can’t wait to go back this summer and ride the ride. Sure the T. rex “ floating “ is still kinda odd to look at. And thick fog covering the legs would help , but at the same time the screens for the water Dino is amazing, and the electronics cost loads of money. Over all that the rides still good and all but there could be improvement
The one in Florida is way better, it’s more Jurassic Park.
Y’know, the better movies
The first jurassic park and the og jurassic park ride were better than all the others tbh
IPlayVideoGames06 the lost world was pretty great. I mean sure it was flawed but then we get the T. rex pair, which was awesome.
I have went on the original one and the best part about the ride was that you see the T-REX at the end of the ride for a couple seconds when it is right in your face which gave you more of an adrenaline rush, and it gives a nostalgic fell to it, but I still respect universals decision. 🦕 🦖
That Triceratops Quadsuit.... oh how I love to try to go around in that! Love to see a video on how the performers get in this Quadsuit and how they work in it... like seeing where they are going and whats around them, also how the eyes and mouth are manipulated; done from in the 'suit or radio controlled by someone from the side? Need this for the next Fursuit Parade at Anthrocon in Pittsburgh PA.
1:52 that definitely looks real
i just went on this ride yesterday and honestly it was great. there’s ALWAYS gonna be people complaining about how more should’ve been done to the ride and to those party poopers i say just stay home if you don’t like this ride 😂😂😂
