Great video! I love the fact that you are open minded to different translations. I believe that if it gets folks to come to Jesus then it is all good. I used to be a KJV only fanatic. Then the Holy Spirit got me to looking at different translations and paraphrases. ATM I am using the NIV Study Bible that came out last year. I am very appreciative of who you are in Christ Sheree.

I love Bibles. I have about 32 including the one that arrived in the mail day before yesterday. I have my favourites and I read those more often of course, like my Matthew Henry Study Bible in KJV, my large print NKJV, my Knowing Jesus Study Bible in NIV. I also have my g-g-grandfather's King James Bible which was gifted to him in1866. I treasure it so much!!

Your Thumbnail of the Quest Study Bible really got me to watch this video. I've worked in Christian Retail, for many years and that Bible was my go-to for most customers looking for a new Bible. I was Trained by Zondervan on how to sell a Bible to someone. Can you imagine having that responsibility on your shoulders? Selling someone a Bible!? But I love the Quest Bible. I'm currently reading the Life Application Study Bible in the NIV. I giggled at this video because you are so much like me, a Bible collector! But, like you, I have certain Bibles for certain needs and I love them all! Working in Christian Retail, I bought so many of them! And Dictionaries, and Concordances, and Handbooks! LOL! There has been a time in my life when I would be studying and have two bibles, a dictionary, and a concordance spread out on my bed searching the Word! I love that memory! God Bless You!

A Helpful Creation Well, you two are not alone there! Just did it last week. Had some extra fun cash and I HAD to have a Life Application Bible in KJV and well so I bought me one from Lifeway! Could not walk in with it...I had just received one last week from Amazon. I found a slightly used Stormie Omartian bible for only $12! Yes, I had to have it, because I pretty much own All her books and devotions, so I did.
“G U I L T” is settling in with me and my huge bible library. I am now praying and writing EVERY morning for the Lord to tell me NO, you have enough! I have the Life Application, The Woman’s Study Bible, and The Study Bible for Women and The Apply The Word Bible. Those are some awesome bibles to stay with for a few years...now...trust in God to help me say NO, No More!!

I wholeheartedly agree with your comment about starting kids on a more easy to understand translation than going for a KJV/NJKV and then they could be put off because they cannot get into the stories. As they grow and mature, they can go further to study with a more literal translation, once they have the stories in their heads. I would also say the same for people who are new Christians or Christians returning to their faith. Love your videos sister Sheree, God bless you!

I just ordered the NIV Quest Bible.. I went to church with my Grandma when I was younger, but of course I fell away from it and just recently started going again. I feel like I do not understand the Bible at all so I am very excited for this one to come.

when my daughter was growing up, I purchased her one of the Revolve Magazine Bibles. It was really nice, in that it has that magazine feel that young girls like and bright glossy pages. I also have quite a few Bibles, and to be honest, I sadly haven't read any of them, but I'm trying. I am, what I consider, a NEW Christian, even though I grew up going to church and going to a church school in elementary school. It's funny how as we get older, we THINK we know the right way to do things, and tend to take over control from God; what a disaster. Needless to say, I am back on the right track and enjoying studying and learning all that I can, about His love for us and how we should be growing in our faith. Thank you for sharing your personality and passion for His Word with us, and with me especially. :)

I haven't read all the comments, so maybe someone has mentioned this already, but have you seen the Waterproof Bible? It's on slick plastic paper and resists water. It seems very durable, but the print is small and I definitely have to wear readers for sure! Thank you for your videos...love them!

Thought you might be interested in a new book by Joyce Meyer I found at Sam's last week - it is Battlefield of the Mind - Psalms and Proverbs. It is leather bound and the pages are nice and thick to write on and they do not tear easy! It is just the Psalms and Proverbs with notes and commentary by Joyce. Enjoyed your book videos and bible study ones - you have such a sweet spirit!

They do make Bibles that are made with that material that you like, they are waterproof Bibles. You can find them on Christian books.com They wouldn't be the best for taking notes in them but they would last a long time.
