Hey Patrick, I’m wondering if you have a shortlist of martial arts book recommendations. I appreciate this is a broad question that can include old classics or modern manuals, so take it whichever you’d like.

Hey Sacha, I’m personally not a big fan of martial arts litterature. I usually find it too abstract and often quite pretentious. I did enjoy “The Tao of Jeet Kune Do” by Bruce Lee, but it’s more just a collection of notes and thoughts than a finished work. It was published posthumously. If we’re talking books in general, I would say “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Steven Covey is my favorite, and a close second would be “Evolutionary Psychology” by David Buss. Let me know if you find anything noteworthy!

Thanks, Seetsa! Indeed, I didn’t invent any of this, just borrowed it from wiser people than I and adapted the concept to martial arts. Glad we could help! - Patrick
