One final tip: don't avoid pvp. In order to keep large amounts of treasure, you will actually need to know how to fight to keep it all for yourself. Getting more fight experience ensures that you can combat enemy crews. Running away from every fight will just make it more annoying for both sides.
Completely agree that’s kinda what I meant at the end when I said don’t avoid player interaction makes the game 1000% more enjoyable
while thats true. you shouldnt pvp all the time either. that makes it annoying for both sides. you also cant expect people to want to fight all the time and thats something a notable portion of the pvp community doesnt get or understand.
I totally agree with this, kinda what I mean by the final statement in the video player interaction overall is what makes the game amazing so either helping each other out or setting up a good steal all of it is fun so just don’t run away all the time cause that is what will always be boring no matter what

@@nintendoman12111 Believe me, I was on the same boat too. Then I started playing hourglass through the endless losses and eventually got good enough to get both of my curses.

I watched this because I used to play sea of thieves a lot but I can’t play anymore since 1 year ago cuz my Xbox1 broke and I’m glad it’s coming to ps5 so now I get to roam the seas again

Don’t worry about how much you’re dying if you try these events. Even good players die constantly in this game. As long as you’re making progress, death matters not. I’d recommend holding off on the Fleet of Fortune until you’re comfortable with fighting one skeleton ship, though. Do lower-level voyages and you should be attacked every few islands by random skellies. Once you can consistently sink them, you’ll do alright in the FoF. If you see a red ship on the map, you’ve got a Reaper. These players are incredibly sweaty and aggressive, so hold off on confronting them until you’re more confident with naval combat.
I played Sea of Thieves on the Xbox and when I swapped over to PlayStation I couldn't play it anymore but now that it's arriving to PS5 makes me happy that I can Play it again

Day one player here. I recommend not avoiding pvp as often as possible. Please note you DO NOT owe anyone a fight, always play your way...but i recommend only because you WILL have to fight for your loot sometimes. PvP combat is fundamentally the same as PvE, but taking on actual thinking/breathing players requires different strategies that only come with experience and time. Please, above all, have fun! Cant wait to have more pirates on the seas. My 'Ebon Dominion' guild does have some openings for any pirates looking to have a band of scallywags to play with!

I would love to join I was a top 1% wow player, top 1% fortnite, top 5% cod and just living this game like I do wow.
So I understand most game mechanics from experience have been in a top game guild before, have lead armies on wow of legit over 300 players that heald enemy city's locked down for 3 days so our own faction would get a lead start on a release date of a new expansion leaving us in a lead for progress by days for the rest of the expansion that lasted 2 years leading to a population increase in faction changes to our side.
I'm currently 4 days in have my own ship and plan on getting more can eve donate one to the guild when I get it. I have have sunken about 10 other players on the open Sea via being sunken 5 times and working one getting better. Taken one red tornado evens and phantom bases alone. From wow I have over 200k on one character alone with over 400 days (²⁴ hours days ) playing PvP and PvE. I'm one ps5 but I have the competitive back paddle controller for ps5. Hope my resume I good enough to earn a position in the guild cause I look forward for the chance to make friends memories and a impact.
I know I’m not good at this game yet when he said the skeleton ships are trivial but they’ve messed up 3 hauls for me in the last 24 hours 😂
My two kids and me have started playing on pc in last month its great fun. All one my kids wants is to be shot via cannon onto another ship .
This is after our first encounter with a good team who boarded us dropped anchor and firebombed us 😂
Would have more fun if I could figure out how to get the multiplayer open mic to work.. still haven't figured it out. Hahaha for PS5 yet I can hear other players. Weird too its only in this game, other games I play mic works just fine.
To anyone watching who is considering getting into this game, all I'll say is don't take it personally. Learning the game is a ton of fun and digging up treasure with friends in the beginning is magical. The PVP is what will keep you playing in the long haul so just do yourself a favor and give it a solid chance. It'll be really tempting to just move on the first few times you get sunk with ease but I promise it achieves something no other game captures.

I know you probably mis-spoke, but to clarify: grade 5 flags provide a 150% bonus, not multiplier. So in total, you get a 250% multiplier.
I'm sticking to PS5 only servers until I get my sea legs, no point jumping in deep end with player base on PC and Xbox who've been playing for years.

I think you can opt in or out of cross whether or not that means only PS5 or PlayStation and Xbox who knows
Just turn off cross play
You have 2 options on ps5 "play with only controller users" option that xbox people have as well and second options "cross play on or off completely" meaning that if you set your crossplay to on and you set it so you can play only with controller users then you will be in servers only with xbox and ps5. But if you turn the crossplay completely off and to play only with controller you will be limited to ps5 people only.

How can i star with story quests? Or yk you do this quest then you go back to the person and he taks and gives you another quest and is there a line like you go first to this person and then to the other of what?
There’s no real story quests in the game it’s all just trying to get more gold level up your company ranks and so on. The only stories in the game are called tall tales they are found at the outpost there’s two main story quests you could start one being a pirates of the Caribbean story line and the other being a monkey island one
if u talking about general voyages they are all on your ship deck now, come on your ship and vote for it

3:32 as a new player, I’d recommend staying away from this as it is a very contested event and lots of good players compete for it which will most likely cause you to end up at the bottom of the ocean
What else would you suggest they do though playing world events having player interactions are the only way you can really learn if you shelter yourself you will never learn anything
Do something like a skeleton fort as you can still learn the basics of PvE but also other players will sometimes contest for PvP but less than the fort of fortune so they don’t feel overwhelmed
the first thing they should do is play the maiden voyage and then farm enough money to buy a ship, and avoid world event for at least id say 15hrs of gameplay

Why would you not start in “Safer Seas”? It’s there for exactly this reason. A place to learn the ropes.
cause it doesn't really teach you the ropes plus the point of this video was how to have fun and safer seas in definitely not fun
@@DaBinBin-_- SS is definitely not as fun. But it is the BEST place for new players to start and “learn the ropes”.
Too many people quit because they jump into the game, get “ganked” by a larger (and more experienced crew) in the first 30 minutes and never play again.
Sending them straight into your version of “fun” is detrimental to a growing player base. There is absolutely no harm in starting in SS and then moving into Adventure as soon as you feel ready.
As someone with both PvP curses who wants to absolutely demolish the ps5 people thanks for putting them in one spot for me 😊

@@DaBinBin-_- vid is good, generally content creators avoid getting offended by comments as it all feeds positively for your algorithm. Here's a fun thing I saw from absolute pixel, go find out how many ways you can light the camp fires, for some people this is as much fun or possibly more than stacking FOTD for 19 hours straight. The secret to the sandbox is get sunk, blow up, play music, do literally anything and don't let anyone else tell you its the wrong thing. Even running for hours is a totally legitimate way to play in the sandbox.

Instead you are just going to want to sail around from island to island looking for small skeleton captains and defeat them, than after that take their skull and sell it at the Merchant Alliance, best way to have fun on this game and make tons of money.

With this video You are doing everything, but teaching new players to have fun. Instead You are directing them to do the endgame activities, where they WILL be a target for far more experienced crews. You are making them esentially loot piniatas for old timers.
If you want to have fun in Sea of Thieves, take your friends for a basic Gold Hoarders voyage, uncover the misteries of it's many islands and grab some basic gold. Just remember, that gold will give you only cosmetics, nothing advantagious. Learn to play at your own discretion, and do more advanced stuff, when You feal ready. Don't let people tell You, that this game is only about PvP on forts. Yeah, PvP is an essential part, but nobody wants to face a ton of a newbie sailors, strugling to controll their ship. If You take things slow and learn, trust me, the experience will be better for everyone involved.
You don't have to kill the endgame boss in the first hour of gameplay...
