I recently upgraded from the 12 to the 16 and the difference is night and day. It’s the best phone I’ve ever owned. That being said though, 12 to 16 is a massive jump. But if you have an older phone, I highly recommend the 16!
I have an 11 pro and today my iphone 16 will arrive, I’m actually not expecting much because i really like my 11 pro and i wouldn’t have bought the 16 if my 11 pro was so destroyed. Gonna give feedback soon. Edit: brooooik it was worth it
@@lemonjuice6177 I never updated the iOS on my 12, so for the 4 years I had it, it was running on its original operating system. My switch to the 16 was astonishing in terms of speed, battery life and just all round ease of usability.
My iPhone 16 Plus lasts a full day and then maybe 30% more for the next, its amazing. For the first time in a long time I have absolutely no worries about battery life.
I picked up a 15 Pro Max earlier this year. Been running the Betas and playing with new features. Overall a refreshing experience now that IOS has an assistant that Id now consider passable. My wife is a teacher and has been using Beta with Apple Intelligence to make classroom materials on her M2 iPad Air and M1 iMac, but no dice on her 14 Plus. It’s been really helpful for her workflow and her Spanish accent no longer confuses it as much. I wanted to buy her an iPhone that also had the Apple Intelligence support and placed an order last week for a 1TB 15 Pro Max for $1,050 (Amazon Renewed Premium with 365 day return policy). The 16 Pro Max is an excellent phone, but so was last years phone. It doesn’t have the camera button, but neither one of us felt it was worth the extra $600.
Killer deal. I’m so glad that Apple intelligent is working out great for her. It’s refreshing to hear something good about it. You also made a damn good decision buying the 15PM it’s an amazing phone. Thanks for the feedback I’m getting excited after reading it.
I’ve had Samsung Notes in the past which I loved. Finally am doing an upgrade from my outdated iPhone 7 to the 16 pro. I read the manual on iOS 18, caught up on WWDC content. I’m optimistic. Let’s hope the rollouts go well.
I just came from android as a lifelong user to the 16 pro max. It's overheating and the battery drain is crazy. I'm not even mad about AI I just want my phone to give me a good experience overall considering I came from android to iphone for the first time.
@@Carfan678definitely weird, apple ran a diagnostic on my phone and said it was fine but I could set up an appointment in store. Definitely weird, maybe because I transferred from my android? But then I’d assume a software update could fix this.
I know what you’re saying about the phone warning up. TBH I was shocked by it cus my 13PM or 13Pro never does this? But the battery life is freaking amazing. Don’t get me wrong it didn’t get hot or anything. It just warmed more than I liked.
@@Eddy525_violini have used both Apple Intelligence and Google Gemini and also Galaxy AI as well. TBH Galaxy AI is far better at the moment. And also to mention that at least for now Samsung is giving the AI features to access for free unlike Apple where Chat GPT paid subscription is needed to use it more.
@ ya, maybe in a future update? I mean the phone came out roughly 3 months ago. Updates and all are still rolling out, and more people are buying the 16 series so, I feel as more people buy it, as well as have that need to want to use that button to map to something else, they’ll probably push a update for it
I upgraded to an iPhone 16 Pro from an iPhone 12, so the upgrade is great. But I agree that AI and the new camera controls are useless for my everyday usage.
I purchased my IPhone 13 in April 2022 (128GB, starlite)…good phone for my purposes, good cameras, good battery! It’s runners, forget AI baloney, you don’t need it! I will keep the IPhone 13 until 2029..!
I’ve had the 16 pro max for a couple months as well. Coming from s24 ultra, which I’ve loved. As an avid Samsung fan, the smoothness of the 16 brought me away from the snappiness of the Samsung. I think the Samsungs pictures can have more detail but in the right conditions apple can more than carry its weight. But the apple selfie camera is way better honestly. Great on battery life. Smooth and I love that. Might get the s25 ultra though as I’m used to getting the newest Samsungs as soon as they come out the last couple years
I upgraded from the iphone12 mini to the iphone16 and it’s way too big + heavy for my hand. My wrist + thumb starts hurting as soon as I start using it…not good for girls with smaller hands :(
I actually returned my iPhone 16 Pro after a few weeks. I couldn't get past how horrible it was. I have never returned an iPhone before, so I'm shocked that I did, but I coudln't stand it anymore.
@@katinasoutherland7693 - It was heavier than my old iPhone - It was too big for my hands (so I couldn't text one handed, and found it to be nearly impossible to hold with one hand) - I kept accidentally touching the very edges of the phone and clicking things (i.e. 123 button or backspace when typing, which made texting almost impossible to do) - My screen scratched on the very first day (had my old iPhone for 5 years and it never scratched once) - I kept accidentally pressing the camera button when I didn't need it, and it didn't work when I wanted it (it doesn't work in apps, and will open the camera app instead of taking a pic) - I had issues where the action button kept getting pressed a lot (at least once every other day) - Swiping down from the top is difficult due to the Dynamic Island, and this actually ties back into the fact that my hands are too small to reach the top of the phone while holding it one-handed. Ultimately, It's just not a good fit for me. My hands are small, the phone is heavy and clunky, and I hated how much it scratched (and how easily/often).
I have no use for Apple Intelligence. The writing tool is especially undesirable because I don't want AI to replace my "voice," my personal style of expression. Everything else is just gimmickry.
I hate the Camera Control button. It was totally unnecessary. It's too finicky and awkward to use. I don't care about the Action button. It's not a selling feature for me. There's no significant difference between the iPhone 15 (which I have) and iPhone 16.
I am absolutely disappointed with my new iphone 16. So much silly whizz bangers and none of the clever design ethics of the earlier iPhones😂 (a la Steve Jobs). I agree the camera button is a waste of time and clumsy to use. The bigger size case compared to earlier iPhones is not a plus in my opinion, it just makes it heavier and clunkier. Finally, a small, but aesthetic detail, there is no option for a white silicone cover which has always been my go to choice. Totally underwhelmed.
