  • Here is our second vlog following my equestrian fitness journey.
    I update you on how things have been, what I've been eating in my calorie deficit, and how my progression is going.

    Thank you for your honesty and courage, seeing your journey is truly inspiring! Yesss, chocolate is life!!! 😂 Adriene is amazing, she actually has a class that is "Yoga for Equestrians", it's about 30min long 😋Don't mind the judgmental people, if loosing weight is part of your goal for you to feel better with your body and healthier, the go for it! Besides, you have professional support, it's not like you're just doing a random crazy diet... Your commitment and progress really transpire, you're doing great! 💪😊

    My 3 spring projects are winding down on the farm, so I've been getting back into pilates. Us older "girls" are often on meds that also affect our weight. I dropped one of my meds a few weeks ago and had an immediate 5 lb drop. I'm down about 8 lbs now, starting to feel better. I like the pilates and enjoy some variety with bike, weights, planks etc. I get so frustrated with how slowly the weight comes down which is a struggle with my mindset around exercise. So nice to see your progression, keeps me reminded to focus on my fitness.

    Thank you once again Missy 🌸 you helped me over 2 yrs ago with my mindset which is still healthy today YAY and now you have inspired me to start being healthy and to start moving this body of mine!! It’s been a year in New Zealand since we hit our level 4 lockdown and boy I gained weight during that lockdown and the entire year!!! I’m really going to work at this and thoroughly enjoyed this vlog and watching your journey xx thank you sweetheart so much xx

    It is so difficult to say you want to lose weight when you are not fat, I understand that, and it's brave to say it, honestly. If you are not feeling your best and go about your weight loss and fitness journey in a healthy way, and it makes you feel stronger though, go for it!
    I, personally, have had so many people say terrible things to me when I have lost weight. I had been stress eating sweets, but, since I am really active with the horses wasn't fat. I stopped stress eating so many sweets, and changed nothing else, and lost like 8 pounds. I felt so strong and great with less sugar in my body, and I honestly didn't even notice the weight loss. But then many people started commenting on my weight and appearance, and giving me looks, it feels like people think they can say whatever they want about your body if you are skinny, but it made me really uncomfortable, as they were very destructive comments. I went from feeling my best I ever had (without even noticing my weight, just feeling good from eating better) to feeling terrible from the looks and comments.
    So the tldr of my story is, go get it! and keep doing what makes you happy and makes you feel good and ignore those haters as hard as it can be sometimes. Remember there are people in your corner

    I’m pleased to see you’re approaching this journey in a healthy way for body and mind. It’s okay to have how you look as a goal as long as we are honest with ourselves and keep checking in to make sure it’s not becoming unhealthy. That’s my personal experience anyway.

    its great to see your enjoying your journey so far! I got really into fitness and nutrition at the end of last year then lockdown happened again and my PT recently went through a bereavement and Im really struggling with the energy and motivation to get back into it properly. Im still doing bits of exercise but there's no structure or routine! Im hoping now things are lifting again ill get back on it - watching your journey is a real motivator!

    Someone else who doesn't like pork! I thought I was the only one. I have a chocolate hit in my porridge too, but from a dessert spoon-ish of Cacao Powder. I also add a tablespoon of chia or hemp seeds to increase the protein content. You're looking amazing. X

      And an absolute YES!!!! to Yoga with Adrienne! Even if you only do a 20 minute routine a couple of times a week it will make a difference. Yoga has improved my posture, balance, flexibility, strength and mindset no end. As we're not in lockdown I've also been able to attend a live pilates class followed by a YIN yoga class. OMG best thing ever. All the very best for you on your journey.

    All my life I have struggled with my weight. I have been very heavy and the lightest weight I have been is 9 stone. It's been like a yo yo diet. I love your vlogs they are great.

    Hitting protein goals can be hard. When I was doing it, I used vanilla protein milk on my breakfast.
    Have only worked with a fitness person once and am grateful that she never said any of the things that your previous trainers have said.

    when you get fit and tone up you will look like you have lost weight. your rider fitness is done when you ride everything else will be for your wellbeing which is good and I've said it before don't take notice of other peoples input because we all have opinions and not all agree with them so accept and don't take offence its an opinion it won't kill you. x don't obsess its naughty .
