I had one. These ride and handle like a dream. While not overly powerful the 3.8 is an excellent engine- made by Buick, good gas mileage and enough torque to keep up with modern cars.
I had a new 1981 Cutlass Supreme Brougham. If it didn’t have the 3.8 litre V6, it would have been a really nice car. I loved the size and the styling, and I still do.
In 1986 I purchased a 1982 Cutlass Brougham exactly like this. It was a beautiful car but I could never get the V6 to run right. I took it to multiple car mechanics that were supposedly well versed in the "computer controlled" cars at that time but nobody could ever seem to figure out what the problem was
Those v6s always ran good at idle but that's about all 😂 i had one in mines when i first bought it and you kno what happened afterwards i pulled that out quickly and installed a 72 olds 350💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 and the rest is history👍🏾
I ran into a guy at the Great Moon Buffett parking lot a month ago in MN with a 442 example G Body. You couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a 80s g body in the 90s early 2000s. Now, you rarely see a clean one.
Beautiful car , 2 changes would have to take place ,I would get rid of that 3.8 -6 which had maybe 120 hp and put in a 350 crate with central fuel injection unit with a mild set up it should make mid 300s hp and get rid of that checkerboard grill for the one that had the chrome fins running up and down ,
Had one of these. It lasted 3 days on the streets of Chicago. A city tow truck driver stole it. It never made it to the tow yard. It was all legally registered. Car just disappeared on the way to city pound.
We are asking $16900 but it is on an auction right now. Take a look at the link. auctions.uniqueclassiccars.com/lots/view/5-RT3HO/1985-oldsmobile-cutlass-supreme-brougham-56k-actual-miles-clean-carfax
Brings me back to when i owned the 1987 Cutlass Supreme with that same color and it was a beautiful driving vehicle.
Absolutely beautiful. I had one back in my hay day, and I wish I still had it.
Great car my father purchased one new in 1984 brings back memories as a kid. Love the rally pack gadges

Beautiful gotta love a Gbody
...so it's not a museum piece ? ... this car was meant to be ENJOYED !!
V6 definitely kills it for me. I’ve had both v6 & v8’s in these, they all should be v8’s.

I had a Gran Prix. Beautiful car but terrible V-6 engine.
