This looks super clean. Ready for local shows I had a '84 Cutlass Supreme Brougham for 27 years. Pastel beige with dark sable interior and roof. Had it repainted and bumpers rechromed. Showed it for 10 years and 19 trophies. Sold it in 2019. Kind of miss it when I see something like this.
WOW! I bought a brand new 1981 Brougham in that exact same color combination! This car is a real flashback for me! I'm so glad I ran across this! What a sweet ride!
I am the original owner of a 1985 Cutlass Supreme in these same colors, mine came with the Buick 3.8 and rallye wheels. Currently I'm doing a resto-mode to mine.
One option it lacks, the RPO code "MW9" THM200-4R four speed automatic overdrive transmission. It has the crappy RPO code "MV9" THM200 three speed automatic instead. With the VIN, you win: 1G3 for US made Oldsmobile, GM47 for Cutlass Supreme Brougham two door, Y for 5.0L (307 CID) Oldsmobile produced V8 with four barrel, RPO code "LV2", 8 is a check digit, G for the 1986 model year, P for Pontiac, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Pontiac, MI plant closed in 1988 with the last "G" body cars and Fieros being assembled there. Should be code 11 White exterior paint.
I don't understand why GM was still installing 3-speeds in large cars in 1986. Ford went to AOD across the board in the early '80s. From an assembly cost saving standpoint alone, it doesn't make sense to have even kept it around. So dumb.
@@AlexanderCrump The "MW9" was optional. You can't compare an AOD to a THM200-4R. The AOD is a clunky piece of crap. The early THM200-4Rs weren't great either, but once they got updated parts, it was smooth sailing.
@@googleusergp I know the AODs tended to jerk and clunk but at least they were four-speeds which the industry was moving towards. I would have thought that GM would want to implement 4-speeds on all the mid and full sized models to raise average MPG and to simplify ordering/production. Were there really people that wanted the 3-speed over the 4-speed?
@@AlexanderCrump GM was "thrifty" back then. They made enough small cars to raise the CAFE numbers into compliance and keep some "big car" engines in the fold. It probably wasn't necessary so they made it optional.
I had an 85' Cutlass Supreme, Black w/ tan interior. Had the 3.8L with the 3 speed and I remember only making 160 miles per 18 gallon tank. Of course gas was under $.99 cents a gallon back then.
This might be the nicest looking car GM ever made. First car I ever drove was a 1981 like this one.
This Cutlass supreme the Chevy Montecarlo and Buick regal from the 80s are the most beautiful style ever .. I also love the monte carlo SS !
Beautiful Olds ! I love these G bodies back in the day, they were the cat's meow .

You might want to fix the "Sold" page on your site. I got a 404 error when I clicked on it.
