It ended when Obi Wan's padawan learners, Luke and Anakin, ultimately worked together to kick his ass and send the Empire into a death spiral. Never stop fighting until the fight is done, Palpatine! He who laughs last...*laugh's best*
Obi Wan, especially by the time of RoS - since the Clone Wars stripped him of that bit of arrogance defeating Maul gave him, became what every Jedi was supposed to be - compassionate, humble, wise, open minded, patient, dedicated and hard working. Had the whole order been like him the Rule of 2 Sith would never have come to power.
He was almost a trully, the trully jedi, but the Order at the time was already corrupted by the same arrogance latter Sidious display and leads hin to die at the hands of Vader turned Anakin Again (don't give a f about the sequels, pure Disney trash)
I think there might be another point to this argument. The only thing that Sidious feared was a Jedi led revolt against his rule, that is why he worked so hard to make them the enemies of the people of his empire. A man like Kenobi, a man who was "nothing special among the Jedi" could have inspired others to follow him. Like the Jedi heroes of the past, he could have rallied the galaxy, and that was something even a Sith feared. So many times, had a Jedi led the people against the Sith empire and won, and now, with only two, the Sith were easy targets.
Midichlorian count doesn't count for much, Obi-Wan is indeed extremely powerful, but that's because he spent countless time honing his skill and practicing overcoming his weaknesses. There is a reason he was one of the most powerful Jedi
What galaxy have you been living in? Palpatine did beat Yoda, did kill 3 master jedi before turning on Mace Windu and fighting him until anakin arrived, then manipulating the situation until anakin intervened and then Palpatine turned his full power on Mace killing him outright. As for kenobi, Palpatine didn't even worry about him. He was no threat to the Empire or Palpatine.
Palpatine would absolutely annihilate Obi-Wan. Yoda already stated Kenobi would be no match for Palpatine in ROTS, and Palpatine grew way more powerful after ROTS. Prime Palpatine would also annihilate Mace and Yoda, though they were comparable to him in ROTS.
@@randalcook325no Palpatine didn’t beat Yoda. At best for him it was a draw and only because Yoda fell after the explosion due to being on the edge. He walked Palpatine before that. And Windu was going to cut off Palpatine’s head before Anakin stepped in to save his ass.

Unpopular opinion: Obi-wan is way more powerful than most people realize. He is the percect representation of the subtle but expansive strength of the light side of the force. Keep in mind, Kenobi is responsible for setting multiple events in motion that ultimately led to Sideous's defeat. It's possible he had special connection to the will of the force.
What I don't get is the fact that obi wan had very very little time with Luke. From saving him on Tatooine to the ride aboard the falcon, Obi Wan just did not have enough time to train or teach Luke much of anything, yet everyone is giving obi wan the credit for Luke's training. That is simply not the case
Just more evidence that Obi-Wan is one of the greatest Jedi to ever live. Strong in the force, Incredibly skilled with the lightsaber, Wise beyond his years, and unwavering faith in the light side.
you can underestimate some distopia scifi channel and say is entertainment, but this channel has halped me distract in difficult times. the force is strong with this channel, thanks
Obi wan would probably take sideous hands rendering him incapable of using force lighting which he loves so much maul and anakin were powerful and arrogant and he butchered them Palpatine would be so arrogant obi wan probably would dissect him
Obi Wan trolled Palpatine so bad 😂 He saw him lost against Dooku and wasnt the first time. Yet he took down Maul , Grevious and Vader , and ultimately Palpatine by training and projecting Luke , and was taken down with the doings of Luke and Anakin
I can't help but think if Obi-wan and Palpatine faced off, Palpatine could be surprised by Obi-wan's resolve and get more irritated by how well he is handling himself. Probably the only way Obi-wan could win, however, is if Palpatine was weakened somehow.
He's great because he's not great. On paper compared to Anakin, Mace, Yoda, Dooku, etc. he has no talent. No one wanted him when it came time for Master's to choose a padawan. Qui Gon chose him because he is more in tune with the force and could sense the greatness in Obi Wan. He was so strong not because of talent but because he was smart and trained hard. He trained out all of his weakness, which is why he beat Anakin, the strongest force user of their time. Anakin had raw talent to compensate for his weaknesses, but Obi Wan couldn't rely on that. I've always like his style and how he was a master of the defensive lightsaber style. No talent, and a user of the weakest offensive lightsaber form, and look at what he was able to do. Man is a legend.
I loved this video I’ve championed kenobi forever. Luke is and has always been my favourite character but I love kenobi. He is so underrated Ive responded in many videos pointing out a lot of the things you say. He followed the force he learned that from qui gon in my opinion it was the force guiding him through along the way there is no other explanation as to how he achieved some of his feats yes he was dogged and persistent but that alone isn’t going to get you through encounters with Sith Lords and grievous. The force decided obi wan was to be the one to teach the chosen one and the saviour. He’s got a big set of balls and CD a dedication to the light he learned from yoda wisdom and mistakes he knew mace windu and he witnessed anakin his experience as a Jedi is practically unrivalled he deserves more respect as a character
Awesome videos as usual. In the Kenobi series, Obi-Wan is tasked by Bail Organa with saving Leia. Did Sidious ever connect the dots and try to punish Bail? Take care.

I always thought that Palp sort of enjoyed having a few of the most dedicated of the Jedi alive to witness the Empire unfold. The victory would be so much sweeter to him if his most dedicated enemies had to sit there and sip the bitterness of defeat every day. Watching the memory of the Republic and the Jedi Order fade further every year while they lived isolated lives as fugitive outcasts. That would have appealed to Sidious for sure.
Sure, in a 1 on 1. But Palpy never bothered to tie up his loose ends and look where that got him. If he had bothered to kill Yoda and Obi-Wan straight away instead of half-assing it, Luke would never have had enough training to stay the course.

Obi-wan was hard countered once, outside of that one matchup, he was the most achieved lightsaber duelist out of everyone. Irrelevant that others were better, he did more it's as simple as that.
Though there was some logic in Palpatine’s think when comes to Obi-wan he largely wrong about him, he was serious threat to him. He killed Maul, he was training the chosen one, could have been the key to Dooku redeemption, then Luke train long term finally becoming a Force Ghost these are clear signs of true.
I think it would have been interesting if Palpatine actually knew Obi-wan was in hiding on Tatooine, but refused to pursue him or even tell Vader because of the potential of Obi-Wan robbing Palpatine of his apprentice Vader like he had done with Maul, which would explain why Palpatine discouraged Vader from going after Obi-Wan. Also Obi-Wan being alive was Vader's anchor to the dark side, as well as Palpatines arrogance seeing Kenobi as a non-threat, not knowing the real reason Obi-Wan was on Tatooine.
Obi Wan was the true underdog story as a Jedi who many underestimated and ultimately pay dearly for it. I actually believe Obi Wan & Sidious were relative in lightsaber combat by Revenge of the Sith & might even favor Obi Wan if he couldnt get the killing blow early due to Obi Wan s Form 3 mastery & Palpatine's advanced age hurting his stamina over time. Palpatine was vastly superior using his force abilities especially great weapons like force choke & force lightning giving him a huge advantage over Kenobi.
So funny, becuz Sidious called Yoda arrogant in Revenge of the Sith ; and now Palpatine seemed to be arrogant XD
Well, to be fair both of them were annoyingly arrogant
The Sith always underestimate their opponent.
"Well hello there"
He is the master of trolling. Palps knows that Sith Lords are his specialty 😂
This is why Obi-Wan Kenobi is my favourite Jedi.
Cause Obi-Wan was him 😤
Midichlorian count doesn't count for much, Obi-Wan is indeed extremely powerful, but that's because he spent countless time honing his skill and practicing overcoming his weaknesses. There is a reason he was one of the most powerful Jedi
agree.
Emperor Palpetine on the thumbnail strongly resembles Snoke 😅
THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS
Palpatine couldn’t beat Yoda, Windu, or Kenobi 1v1. His victory was having an empire in between them.
Sidious was stronger than them or Yoda would never had hidden to train Luke and finally beat Sidious like that.
@paperplane-db8qf you may want to look up and find the interview with Lucas, the choreographer that did allnof those scenes a d Ian McDiarmid himself. They all three disagree with you 100%. Lucas wrote the damn scenes, I will go with Lucas and Ian McDiarmid about who won those fights. You sir are dead wrong. Don't believe me, look it up yourself. I did.
I'm sure Palpatine would have lost to Larry in a dance-fight.
Obi-Wan may be a thorn but even a thorn can get infected
What I don't get is the fact that obi wan had very very little time with Luke. From saving him on Tatooine to the ride aboard the falcon, Obi Wan just did not have enough time to train or teach Luke much of anything, yet everyone is giving obi wan the credit for Luke's training. That is simply not the case
He could of prevented the fall of sith but his ego and arrogance stopped him killing Obi wan before he started Luke’s journey
Styles make fights. Palpatine knew it was a bad look.
In my mind, Kenobi's feats against Palpatine's apprentices only solidifies his rep as the Master of Troll.
Thorn in Palp’s foot 😂
It proves that Sidious is incompetent as he never seems to learn how to stop his underlings from failing!
Sidious never learns. How many times does he get defeated using Force lightening.😂😂😂
Palpatine kept leaving crumbs behind when it came to Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan took those crumbs and made a cake. 🎂 🥇💯🗿
Obi wan would probably take sideous hands rendering him incapable of using force lighting which he loves so much maul and anakin were powerful and arrogant and he butchered them Palpatine would be so arrogant obi wan probably would dissect him
I wish they still made Star Wars content as good as you do.
Obi Wan trolled Palpatine so bad 😂
He saw him lost against Dooku and wasnt the first time.
"From a certain point of view"
HA, he used the line!
Darth Sideus respected the high ground
Palpatine saw Kenobi as threat, I don't care what anyone says.
won't admit it, but when the bully mocks the guy standing up to him and doesn't back up his words, or does nothing...that inaction says EVERYTHING
OBSESSION OVER HAM!!!! 😂😅

-Luke Skywalker
Obi-Wan "Sith Lords are my Specialty" Kenobi
An odd but accurate way of looking at it, Obi-Wan was to Palpatine what Hobbits were to Sauron.
Take care.
Sidious's arrogance blinded him... ironic.
"Why Obi-Wan Was One of the ONLY Jedi Palpatine Respected" is a video you did 3 months ago. I guess we can expect the same consistency from your channel as from the actual lore.
Never underestimate the hardworking devoted but seemingly unextraordinary and constantly passed over for promotion middle management guy, theyre the ones while unnoticed and unappreciated are actually keeping the company running behind the scenes, and they are the ones who can bring the whole system down and drive business to a crashing halt if messed with the wrong way, obi wan embodies that competent and unassuming miiddle manager type to his core. Lol.
Soresu is a good lightsaber to master and Obi Wan mastered Soresu fully.
Accordingly to Yoda and Windu he was not a Soresu master. He was THE Soresu Master
@@pedromiguelalmeida4446 that is the point of my above post. Fully mastering Soresu would made that person on par Obi Wan. Also Obi Wan is an excellent jedi master.
anakin and luke, ultimately pulled off what yoda and mace could not :O Those two are Obi Wan's students :O@@DeathScepter
Obi wan is the ultimate chad of Star Wars
I always thought that Palp sort of enjoyed having a few of the most dedicated of the Jedi alive to witness the Empire unfold. The victory would be so much sweeter to him if his most dedicated enemies had to sit there and sip the bitterness of defeat every day. Watching the memory of the Republic and the Jedi Order fade further every year while they lived isolated lives as fugitive outcasts. That would have appealed to Sidious for sure.
Palpatine ass was running the whole time 😂
Kenobi simply relies on the force when its most vital. Thus he always wins.
Palpatine crushes Kenobi
Sure, in a 1 on 1. But Palpy never bothered to tie up his loose ends and look where that got him. If he had bothered to kill Yoda and Obi-Wan straight away instead of half-assing it, Luke would never have had enough training to stay the course.
not in a straight up saber duel, however. Obi wan was never beaten in life or death saber duel combat, his weakness was overwhelming force power. But that's what he had Anakin for!@@wanderhillen2435
Right you are you to fear the high ground
Obiwan would have been inconsequential to Palpatine. That would be like Mike Tyson being worried about a high school kid.
Its funny in revenge of the sith novel before anakin and obi wan enter the room where sidous was faking his capture. Dooku asked him one more time to take obi won instead of anakin which sidous laughs off
Obi-wan was hard countered once, outside of that one matchup, he was the most achieved lightsaber duelist out of everyone. Irrelevant that others were better, he did more it's as simple as that.
only beaten by force cheats, unbeaten at tests of the blade
Obi was the lowkey chosen one.
I always assumed Sidious thought obi wan was beneath him.
Would have loved to see a Lightsaber duel between them around the time right after Kenobi from Disney + where Obi Wan showed force feats in his battle w Vader we had never seen b4 tho.
Love your content. 🎉
If Obi Wan hadn't lost to Dooku on Geonosis Palpatine probably would have seen him as more of a rival.
Dooku trained Qui Gon, so he was a hard counter to Obi Wan.
He’s not the most gifted on the high council but the high council are the elite of the Jedi and to be on it you have to be a gifted Jedi so he still is
Uncle Ben vs Uncle Palps!
It is not by physical strength that ascends a Jedi, but it is the mental strength. And Obi is EXCEPTIONALLY balanced
Obi wan was the working man’s Jedi. I’m surprised that after some of his duels, he didn’t just pull out a sack lunch and a thermos of coffee, and took a 30 minute lunch break.
Obi-Wan is a Legend!!
the man is walking foil
