WHO in their right mind as a passenger in a high speed chase wouldn’t pull out their cell phone and dial 911?! I believe they were chased by the paparazzi for two hours - being central New York, the chase took place at about 2 miles an hour in heavy traffic and they probably moved almost 200 yards - it's a cruel world.

I was born in Manhattan. I grew up in Manhattan and on Long Island. I lived in Manhattan for almost 40 years. There's no F&*@%ing way you can have a car chase in Midtown for 10 minutes, let alone 2 hours. There are police and police cars everywhere. There's always so much traffic around Times Square, it can take you 30 minutes to go 8 blocks in a cab. It's faster walking to get out of the area. New York cabbies are some of the most aggressive drivers in the world. None of them are going to let you cut them off in a car chase. There's too many pedestrians in Times Square. You'd be knocking them over like wack-a-mole. And trust me, as a New Yorker, you'd piss off all of them (there's like at least 20,000 people in Times Square at any given moment that time of night), they'd all be dialing 911 to get your ass arrested in a New York minute! These liars are basing their story of Manhattan car chases on too many unrealistic Hollywood movies. All New Yorkers are laughing at these fools.

Born and bred New Yorker, I was stunned when reading this! How absurd is this? Particularly, in that two days ago I was on 47th Street, the detours are so that it took almost 3 hours to get around the blocks - you cannot go crosstown.
Plus - our tax dollars paying for their NYPD protection for any thing much less this corndog event does not sit well with New Yorkers. The Mayors' office was inundated with phone calls about our tax dollars paying for their protection!

I just can't see any NYC cab driver risking getting their license revoked or damaging their taxi in a 2hr high speed chase. Many struggle to afford their medallion permit which is very difficult and expensive to obtain. I hope the driver doesn't suffer the consequences from these accusations.

I'm Canadian, living in New York City and no way this happened. There is too much traffic congestion in the city for a 2 hour high speed chase. It's faster to walk than drive most of the time. People in NYC don't care about them so why would the paps chase them? This is just a ploy for them to prove to the Royal Family they need Security and want them to pay for it.
