If there's a superautomatic I like, this DeLonghi's model is. Sadly it is too costly in the USA and its territories. Here in Puerto Rico, it goes on sale sometimes in Williams Sonoma for $1,599, but the regular price is $1,799. Way too high. I would rather buy a Ninja Luxe for way less money. As always, thanks for your great funny and down to earth reviews.
Hi Kev, I just came across a machine that seems too good to be true. It's exclusive to John Lewis in the UK and is called by a company called Dualit, the model is Espressivo Pro. This is a dual boiler machine with PID for the brew boiler, integrated grinder and 58mm Group for £549. Surely a candidate for your next review!!!!
Kev, I love your videos!! I have £1000 to spend on a coffee machine that has plenty of functions, mainly to use your wonderful fresh coffee beans on! What are your top 5? Thanks mate 👍
Sorry, do you think a new Eletta Explore with hoppers will be released soon? With the current Eletta Explore, changing coffee is not convenient at all!
I was nearly sold on this machine apart from that annoying pre rinse! I’d love to be able to brew my coffee from bed so it’s done by the time I get downstairs, but it appears this machine is not the one for that. If anyone has any better suggestions please let me know
I have a PrimaDonna Deluxe (for 14 years) and I have to say... Delonghi doesn't seem to have learned that much in terms of noise and technology in that time. This machine is at least as loud when grinding and just as loud when pressing as my old PrimaDonna. That's a little disappointing. 14 years ago, the PrimaDonna cost €1,200 and the entire chassis was almost made of brushed steel. Today it's 1000 and everything is made of plastic. I like my Delonghi, but after 14 years I'm now thinking about getting another machine. For me as a technical play child who is curious about something new, it will no longer be a Delonghi. At first glance, it's the same technology wrapped up in a different casing with an app built around it.
To be fair when it comes to noise, the loudest part is the beans grinding. The seal makes it about as quiet as any I've experienced, I think to quieten that further they'd probably have to shrink the hopper, drop it further into the machine, put some kind of insulation around it etc., all to reduce it just by a few decibels, while probably meaning it has to be made bigger as a result. Even if this shaved more than few decibels off, the sound of milk frothing is usually not far behind this in volume, and then slightly behind that the volume of the pump & then the volume of the motor & gear system of the brewing unit, so I'm guessing this is why most manufacturers don't put all that much effort into sound proofing. Ta, Kev
what @BigJasquach said 😎. When I started the channel, I wondered what title to use for people like us, who see coffee as more than just a a drink, I don't like the term "coffee snob", and other titles are just too boring, so I decided "Coffee Botherers" was the most appropriate. Ta, Kev.
Absolutely love your content! Thanks to you I got a Barista Pro and making my intro to the proper espresso world. After I finish my current bag of beans, I already have the cworks order ready to press go!
Actually vs other fully auto bean to cup machines I think it's well priced to be honest. Personally I'd rather have the Ninja Luxe too. Well I do have it ;-), and I'd use the Luxe over this or any fully auto bean to cup. But this is a fully auto, it's different, some people just prefer them - whether they should or whether they would actually be happier with one of the new breed of fully assisted portafilter machines, is a different matter. I will be doing side by side comparisons with the Luxe and fully auto bean to cup machines. Also, the DeLonghi is an Italian made machine that feels really well put together, and parts for DeLonghi's are usually fairly easy to obtain and some of them are modular and easy to swap out, so I'd hazard a guess that on average these will way outlive the Ninja Luxe machines, so yeah the Luxe is just over half the price, but the long term value for money may be similar or better with the Eletta Explore if you take that into account. Only time will tell. Ta Kev
@@Coffee_Kev look forward to both competing against each other indeed.Im looking for a machine that does it all for me as i like my Coffee Hot as if possible to find the perfect machine that is simple to use but make a great blend of coffee cheers kev.Thank you so much for the reply Phil in Sydney.
I havent got tried the Ninja and it was my plan but when i saw the Rivelia review i started to wonder. Coming from a Gaggia classic and DF64 and all the faff which is getting tiresome just to get an americano as i dont drink espresso i just wanted to press a button. Got my Eletta today after seeing this review and while it will take getting used to and perhaps double dosing to get a proper tasting Americano as its pretty weak but ive only just dialled in the beans im using with the bean assist app so will see how it goes.
I just love this guy’s delivery style, « add more ice…. Genius » 😂😂😂😂…. He does know his stuff and his is the least patronising coffee connaisseur this side of the pond
I have bought an Eletta.Explore recently and am using your coffees and enjoying both experiences. 🙂
Is this better than the Rivelia?

Excellent 😎, very much appreciate your custom, and very happy to hear you're enjoying it.😀
Great review, how would you compare it to a Jura machine?

Oh is this the unit we were discussing about IOT security?
It was the Oracle Jet, but probably the same with all machines with WiFi?
A £1,000 coffee machine with FREE turd???? Sign me up!!!!
Hi Kev, what makes the best coffee? This or the Sage Barista Touch Impress?
Same question here
That cup clearance though 😲
What's this, a actual handsome Delonghi release? Well i never.

What is coffee botherers?
People who bother about coffee, it’s more of a fun title to call his viewers than anything with true meaning

I already have Delonghi Elitta Explore Its very good Coffee machine but it’s not the best to be honest
Me too, my latte is never ever hot. Once the novelty wore off I had buyers remorse. It’s about a 7/10 for me
Overpriced rather have the Ninja better and cheaper.
