This is one item I’ve never been able to acquire. Lots of old timers have the scoop on all the gun ranges near me. Nice load . I think my yards have a separate category less than dirty brass?
I've sold several hundred pounds of range picked brass shells to my scrap yard. I know every place is different, but mine is very picky. They will run a magnet thru the brass and if they find ANY steel cases, they will NOT accept them... Same for live rounds, shotgun shells(most only have a light brass coating on steel), aluminum cases, or even too much crap like cigarette butts and ear plugs. They want/will buy ONLY clean brass cases... I have to hand sort all my range finds, but I'm on good terms with the yard. The last time I sold brass I got $2.20/lb... Great find getting that much brass at one time!!!
I will be removing them all I took a 5 gallon bucket out of it yesterday it took me about 45 minutes maybe a little less 65 pounds per 5 gallon bucket at $1.50 a pound I think I’ll do OK even if I have to clean them all or go through them all
You have got to run a magnet over all the casings to remove the steel casings and the shotgun Shells. Then you need to pick out all the aluminum casings. Otherwise, you will get docked big time.
I separated a 5 gallon bucket yesterday. It took me about 40 minutes 65 pounds clean brass shells times $1.50 a pound even if I separated I’m gonna make good money.
@@ScrappingwithGrandpa i meant to ask u if u ever got those things i sent u .the coin was because u said u visted Ohio so i wanted u to have something from ohio ,and the other thing was because i thought u might want because its got a picture of a certain guy on it.that i thoght u might like.but i never mention any name or get into politics did I know you know what I mean
Hey grandpa! I know this is an old video. But do you happen to remember around how much money you made from a 5 gallon bucket? I’m thinking about going to my local shooting spot that is super littered with bullet casings. I just don’t want to be picking them up by hand for 3 hours to only make $30 haha!

They will be dirty brass if unprimed…
I will separate them all
I got 1.80 per pound.
It depends on size casings, i go with 55 lbs for a full to the brim bucket. I turn in 100-150 lbs a month.
Wow, are you kidding me, my friend that is absolutely amazing. I’m not gonna lie. I made so much money from this deal. It wasn’t even funny.
That was a cool video. Never them before

The brass I have right now is at 2.35 a pound in Pennsylvania
Wow, that’s nice. Not a bad price at all.
