  • If you’re looking to pick up a magsafe powerbank for your new or existing iPhone then I have several magsafe powerbank options that potentially could be for you. I’ll go over 4 compatible magsafe powerbanks and compare them to the Apple battery pack. I’ll cover the design, features and specs of each of them and then talk about the grip and fit as well as how well they hold up when using them when performing some shake tests and in the I’ll provide you with a battery charging comparison to give you a good idea on which one to get.

I have a 622 - like it a lot - but be warned it does heat up substantially while wirelessly charging. However on the plus side it will get my iPhone 14 pro max from 40-100% with a wire, (significantly more than with MagSafe)

@@alexbishop5870 I made a comparison with a MagGo 622 and iPhone 13 Pro Max yesterday. A USB-C-to-lightning cable charged about 1 percentage point per 1 minute, while the MagSafe wireless connection was about 1 point per 1.5 minutes. The overall charge completion level wasn't so different, though. Wirelessly it would add 61 points to my iPhone (3% to 64% in maybe 2 hours (didn't see the completion time)) before the 622 ran out of power. With aforementioned wire, the 622 would add 72 points (9% to 81% in 83 minutes).
So, a wired connection is about 50% faster than a wireless one but only gives 18% more charge in the end.
I usually carry wires and even a small AC adapter, so the wireless features aren't so important to me. I just add any mobile battery to my bag if I think I might need portable charging. If I wanted to travel light and just need an occasional boost, I'd find the MagGo 622 to be more convenient. The color selection is better too.

i loved the Anker mac go622 , but i was curious and bought the 633 too , and it have some cool feature like the usb C and A outputs, but it's dman too heavy and HUGE , and the 5K one the mango 522 , was so small and cute with it's rugged material that felt like an iPad cover that you can use as a stand ... cos i hate the stand of the Bigger 633 , even on a pro max which is big, i would advise anyone to go for the 622... it will not charge as much , but overall it's the more convenient, i just wish they kept the thin design and stand of the 622 on the 633. the good thing that anker fixed on the 633 is the power button that can be switched on or off even when slap on the back on the iPhone, cos on the 622 which i prefer , the weird thing is that this so called power button will not let you turn off the battery if it's aligned with the phone ... the only purpose of it is to see the 4 dots on the side to gage how much juice it has left .. i hope Anker will release a new one, featuring the good things about both their battery packs ... but i would not trust other brands other than Apple of course ...

    • @T3CHUP

They must have changed the firmware on the 622. Pressing the power button my 622 does turn it off. I can have it on the phone and able to turn it off and it stops charging. Same with charging it, you can turn it off while it’s charging if you have it on the phone and it just charges the 622 and not the phone.

Have anyone had used the anker 633 for iPhone 14 pro specifically ? Will it cover the main camera lens? I’ve returned a basuse 10000 mah MagSafe powerbank because it covered a bit of the iPhone 14 pro main camera in both portrait/landscape stand position, so I have to take it off when shooting pictures or vids. I know 12-14 pro max models don’t have this issue.

I haven’t tested the anker 633 on an iPhone 14 pro but from many people getting it for the iPhone 14 pro they are able use it and I haven’t heard that it gets in the way of the camera or goes over the camera bump.

    • @T3CHUP

Good question, so I’ve been using various compatible magsafe powerbanks throughout the past year on this channel and I haven’t had any significant issues with them impacting the health of my battery on the iPhone. Also I haven’t had any damages to it. However, I haven’t used them every day. I’ve only used them for when I’m low on battery near the end of the day cause I didn’t charge my phone the night before or when I’m camping or at events recording things with my phone, but if you want to play it safe with charging your iPhone I would stick with apples battery pack as it offers beneficial charging features for your iPhone and the battery doesn’t get as hot as some other powerbanks that I’ve reviewed if youre concerned with heat.
